Red Wings call up Curtis Joseph from the AHL
Hahaha, that just sounds really funny to me.
But Jesus, the Wings might need him afterall with all these injuries. |

would he have to clear waivers again when they send him back down?
And if I were him, i'd go in goal for the wings, but not stop a shot my way. |

Well that would be dumb of him.
Maybe if he plays really well he can draw the attention of other teams, and actually have a chance of getting moved. If he plays like ass it'll make the situation worse. |

no one is worse then yash, anyways, I haven't felt sorry for him one bit after all he left Toronto even though they offered him basically the same deal as Detroit, but this is getting stupid if I was him I wouldn't care though I mean make 16 mill over the next two years for doing dick all...

Dont some contracts prohibit teams sending players down to the minors? I know some MLB guys have clauses where they have to stay on the major league roster, thats BS if the Wings can just send an elite goalie to the AHL when he could be doing something for a different team

It isn't like they haven't tried to move him. He's cleared waivers twice and they've been shoping him since Hasek said he wanted to come back.
Fact is that he has a huge contract that no one wants to take on because many teams are in a bad financial state. Detroit would also rather have him sit on the bench than trade him to a rival. |

It's funny that Cujo is coming back to Detroit after they basically just flipped him the bird last week by throwing him on waivers and then demoting him to the minors.
I was listening to the radio on the way home tonight and it sounds like Legace and Hasek are the walking wounded. I thought it would be funny for Cujo just to tell them to **** off, but that whole legal contract thing and all. Still, if I were him I wouldn't think of playing for a team that doesn't want you. Demand a trade... And Bad Guy, you're hatred for Cujo is really tiring - seriously. |

Cujo's a good guy, he'll put his effort into the Red Wings. He won't pull a stupid stunt, at least I wouldn't expect it.

Other teams already know what he's capable of. And their doesnt seem to be a huge rush for teams to go out and trade for him. Collecting 8 million a year, and sticking it to a team thats treated you like shit? Sounds like a good plan to me. |
