Sergei Samsonov out indefinitely
Bruins' Samsonov out indefinitely
TSN.ca Staff 12/12/2003 Forward Sergei Samsonov will be out of the Boston Bruins lineup indefinitely after suffering a knee injury in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Washington Capitals. Samsonov sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee after going down to block a shot and falling awkwardly. He will be re-evaluated on Sunday after the team returns to Boston. Samsonov left the game late in the third period and iced the knee before walking out of the MCI Center on his own. Taken eighth overall by the Bruins in the 1997 draft, Samsonov has six goals and 10 assists in 29 games this season. ------------------------------------ Holy shit. He should be put in a box when he travels that says 'FRAGILE' on it. ever since I put up a poster of him on my wall he's been getting injuries everywhere. *rips poster down and burns it* The Franchise |

So much potential. I wonder if he'll ever live up to it.

BTW I'm laughing at the irony of the situation, not at Samsonov's injury.

You know, Yash is right on this.
Just because Straka is healthy at the moment, doesn't mean he doesn't have a history of being injured. |

That's not what I was laughing at.
Straka and Samsonov are both very injury prone. It's just the fact that he was making fun of Straka earlier, then posting how horrible it is that Samonsov got injured, is what's funny. Almost a "what goes around comes around" type thing. |

No, I was pointing out that he is currently on a 5 game point streak with 3 goals and 4 assists and +6 since being traded.
In that same span, Samsonov has 1 goal (PPG), and a -1. BTW Straka is the man, if you haven't guessed. |
