Flair Question (Armageddon Spoilers)
When was the last time before now that Ric Flair held a non-World title?

I think it was 1996 when he beat Eddie Guerrero for the US title

Mikey:
You are right about the 1996,but I believe it was Konnan (K-Dog) that he defeated for the title.I think it was at a PPV (either Bash At The Beach or Great American Bash, but I'm leaning toward BATB).I remember they did a "feet on the ropes" finish with it.... |

You would be right. Eddie won it later when it was vacated and he beat DDP for the title.

While we are on Flair and title reigns, before Armegaddon, it had been 1,294 days since Flair last held gold...the longest period of time in his craeer not to be called Champion.

BTW,I liked DDP as United States Champion. To me,the "value" of the titles was always: WWF/WCW World Championship WCW United States Championship WWF Intercontinental Championship WCW Television Championship Then, they ruin the legacy of the TV Title; ruin the legacy of the US Title; ruin the legacy of the WCW Title; then the WWF Title; and lastly the IC Title |
