Warner has just officially announced Scribblenauts 2 and revealed some new details about the new adjectives system that will enable you to customise your objects.
As with the first game, you'll use the stylus and touch screen to scribble down the names of objects which will help Maxwell solve puzzles and grab the Starite.
However, thanks to the new adjectives system, you'll be able to write any object that comes to mind and modify it. With adjectives you can change the colour, size, elements, behaviours and many other aspects of the object you're describing. Also, multiple adjectives can be combined together.
These new features will, according to 5th Cell, give players even greater control. "The next Scribblenauts broadens the players' experience from the first Scribblenauts through more creativity, innovation and in-depth gameplay," said Jeremiah Slaczka, Creative Director and Co-Founder of 5TH Cell. "All of these enhancements give players even greater control over how they want to play the game."
Scribblenuats 2 will be released for DS in the autumn.

I like the 1st one but it wasn't perfect. The sequal could be what the original should have been. I hope so, anyway. I'm wondering how well the adjectives and nouns will work togethor. The Nintendo Power cover has a spiked fridge, a striped elephant with an eyepatch etc but I wonder if I could type in something like "tartan (or plaid) cactus" and get one.
