Like he said, "It's my farewell speech and I'll say whatever I want".
PLUS...he was praising the one REAL AND TRUE LORD...so...
LOL.
I'm a "non-believer" and I didn't think anything of this. Shawn had about 20 minutes to say whatever he wanted and I feel it was the most tasteful and appropriate segment on Raw in a long time. He became a better person and a better performer because of it and I will not bring my atheism into what I watch on television.
I didn't realize how much I would miss HBK until he lost at Wrestlemania on Sunday. The latest installment of DX kind of fucked me up.
I got to see the very first Hell in a Cell match in 1997. Undertaker v. HBK w/ Kane ruining it for the deadman. That was probably one of the coolest live events ever.

In my opinion, even guys the caliber of Jericho and Angle had their best matches with Shawn.
Cena's best match to date that I've seen was with Shawn. Not sure about HHH, but it's damn close at the very least.
Austin's best match could have been with Shawn, had Shawn not been injured when they did face, and then take time off after that.
Even still, they had two fantastic matches.
Think about his Summerslam match with Hogan. It was NOWHERE NEAR Shawn's best match, and it was arguably the best of Hogan's career.
Nah Austin and Hart had much better chemistry together and the matches they had were way better together then either the KOTR or WM match Austin had with HBK. Greatest WM match of all time. WM13.

I believe the greatest WM match of all time was the Iron Man Match at WM12 between Bret and Shawn. A pure wrestling classic.

While I'm not going to agree wholeheartdely, I will agree in part. Bret and Austin had fantastic chemistry - both had better chemistry with each other than they did with Shawn. WM13 was magic, plain and simple. Best non-HBK match of all time, IMO.
But the fact that I have to say "best non-HBK match" is why HBK is on a level by himself. HBK brought the best out of nearly everyone he was paired with. He made Taker look like gold (not hard to do) and dragged a very good match out of Hogan when Hogan could barely move (very tough to do). Hell, he told a fascinating story with Vince at WM24, and made a 5* classic with Shelton Benjamin on an episode of RAW.
While some pairings will have amazing chemistry (like Bret and Austin), there will never be someone as good as Shawn in terms of making the absolute best out of nearly each and every person he faces. The thing that is most amazing is that over the past 2 or 3 years we've all come to expect Shawn to be the best, and he still delivered up to his very last match. I never once was left disappointed by a Shawn Michaels match - that is why he is the greatest of all time. Period.

'PLEASE DON'T GO' Was what got me.:(
I was ok until they hit his music. Knowing that I won't hear that blaring from my TV with that live arena feel to it again for quite some time (if ever) was a somber thought. That was the real tear-jerker. I will wake up in the morning and still not believe it. Heaven only knows what I'll think when I watch RAW next week, knowing that the HBK segment that I've watched for as long as I've been a wrestling fan won't be coming. :(

Hey, Love HBK as a wrestler too, but I think there's two people you can say that about, and one of them includes Bret. Especially in the 90's,...look at all the wrestlers he gave their best matches to. He could go with them all.
Yoko, Bam bam, Mr Perfect, Owen, Bulldog, Piper, Diesel, Lawler, Backlund, Hakushi, Austin. Had Bret not had that stroke, he would have been wrestling longer and still puting up match of the year contenders...he was barely trying in wcw and still gave great matches to DDP, Sting, Savage, and had the match of the year with Benoit. At about the age HBK is at now.
They're both great.

I love that Jack Swagger is being treated seriously, as he’s just waiting to cash in on John Cena. The opening was awesome with the tease of cashing in Money In The Bank, and hopefully, they push him hard as a heel. I’m still surprised he won. I really hope they don’t have him lose when he uses MITB though.
I really like Randy Orton as a face. The guy doesn’t even have to do or say anything, and the fans are all over it. Cena/Orton together was awesome.
I’ve loved watching Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania XII with Bret Hart onward. It was that match that made me a fan of both men. These last few months have been a bit of nostalgia with both of them, and it was an aligning of the planets that Hart could be around for all of this as he was as much a part of Michaels’ career as Michaels was of his. They’re forever tied, through thick and thin. Triple-H coming out for a minute at the end was also great. Michaels has to go into the Hall of Fame sooner than later. Here’s to Owen Hart being inducted into the Hall of Fame next year along with Michaels.

I always said id probably stop watching wrestling when Shawn Michaels leaves, then Rock/Austin/DX happened and i forgot all about it but funnily enough now that HBK is actually gone, i feel different, like the last piece of my childhood has been taken from me. HBG is the greatest wrestler ever

The 2002 chamber was the first, and best. The reaction HBK got when he won the title was unbelievable. It totally makes me tear up. I can't believe that's the last time he won it considering the fact that he outperformed the young guys on a nightly basis.

FUCK YOU. Triple H isn't missing anything. He was the ultimate heel when the company needed him most. If it wasn't for Triple H, the WWF would have folded when Austin's neck couldn't hold up and The Rock had no heels to face but Triple H. If it wasn't for Triple H, then the Attitude Era would have been lacking that extra push from 2000-2001. I even dare say that Triple H is the only superstar from the attitude era with the heart, passion, desire, and balls to stay true to his first love and passion...the art that is professional wrestling. I implore you to think before you post such ridiculous and blatantly smarkishly bullshit remarks.
lol what. He hardly buried him did he. Triple H has never been on the level of Rock or Austin, even when he was at the very top of his game in 2000/early 01. This is just the truth, nothing more. No hidden smark agenda to hold your man down on the internet or anything. You tell him to think about his remarks yet blindly defend and slobber over Trips at every opportunity.

Triple H has never been at The Rock and Austin's level. I did not say that he's not brilliant in the ring, and an essential part of the attitude era. He did help the attitude era become what it was because he was that bad guy the company needed for The Rock and Austin to face. There just has always been something missing to catapult him up to the star power of The Rock and Austin. Nowhere in there did I tear him down, or make any remark that would have led anyone to believe so.

Just because you have your head so far up your ass that you get pissy about my opinion tells me that you are fucking bonkers. I don't listen to people who are bonkers. Triple H isn't The Rock or Stone Cold but please tell me this...WHO THE FUCK IS? Yes, Triple H is not one of the BIGGEST FUCKING STARS OF ALL TIME. There are only 5 names that are on that level: Austin, Rock, Hogan, Andre, and Flair. You said Triple H was missing something that Rock, Austin, and HBK had...please tell me what it was other than a face run during the Attitude Era? Please tell me what he is missing other than not fitting into your cookie-cutter bullshit beliefs about wrestling. As I said before, FUCK YOU. Also, I did own you. And Goldberg is terrible so that's probably all he'd be able to do, kick me in the skull and end my career because he can't wrestle worth a damn. I can't believe that any Triple H mark would ever like Goldberg.
