That is a much cleaner version. Every time I see Gordon, I can't help but feel so bad for him. Can't wait to see the HD version some time next week.
By the way, why is Gordon in the hospital?
Damian Rey

That has yet to be revealed, but I'd speculate Bane gets his hands on him sometime in the 1st or 2nd act and roughs him up.

Good to have a racially mixed social circle.
My bud recognizes the creepy chant as Spanish, "Matalo, matalo, Bane, Bane," which translates into "Kill him, kill him, Bane, Bane."
Whether they are going for the criminal mastermind or some unstoppable beats of man, the effect is there. I would not wanna meet this fucker.

The official Facebook page, featuring an ultra HD version of the video. Spoliers ahead for those who haven't seen it yet...
Pretty dog gone sure that the guy doing pushups is Bruce. The hair style is the same, so maybe. I'm curious as to who's crawling out of the well. When the crew was in India, Ton Hardy was not spotted. But Bale was, and the well and green screen pit were shot there. Hmmmm....One more note; seeing Bats back up with his hands barely able to be held up in defense, and looking absolutely spent, was immense.
All in all, this thing looks absolutely gorgeous. I'm speaking of the way it's shot and the tone that it emits. I cannot wait for this film. Also, Tom FUCKING Hardy has officially gained a new fan.

Might be a bit of both. At least that's what I hope. Batman can take on brute force. But when he's met with someone of like intelligence and fighting skill, ala Ra's in Begins, he finds himself struggling.
We shall see. Nolan may be the first and only one to define the Bane character to the mainstream audience. He looks fucking menacing.

Hi Dark Knight and Film Friends,
Cash B. and crew from BeInAMovie.com here,
We hope your as excited to participate in the filming of The Dark
Knight Rises as we are. Its going to be an unforgettable experience.
Just wanted to let you know that we have your reservation request to
be on set and IN the movie The Dark Knight Rises. Many of the details about
the filming day are unknown, even to us!
But here's some of the things we're beginning to find out, and your chance to really experience what it's like being in a film and on a movie set. Lot's of things to prepare for...
THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW...
We will be sending you a link to pick up your INFO PACK with set pass AND All the info on what to wear, what to bring, what not to bring
...one week before our filming day.
You must bring a Printed copy of this with you. No one admitted without it. No hard luck stories accepted.
NO "On your phone reservations" will NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE SET,
You must be have a PRINTED OUT PASS that is included in in your INFO PACK available one week before filming.
No leeway on this.
* It will be a late fall to winter scene in Gotham City...
So we're going to need everyone to wear a coat or jacket that they can take off between scenes.
Dress for hot weather under the coat.
If you have any coats or jackets that are "gold and black", please bring them, otherwise dark or black jackets or coats work.
*Absolutely NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED WEARING ANY LOGO'S, OF ANY KIND.
This includes anything, nothing that is Steeler's related or Batman or Dark Knight or Sport Team, or Company related etc.
You will not be allowed to enter the set with anything you have with you that has a Logo. You will have to go home if wearing logos.
It's a very serious legal thing for the filming of Dark Knight Rises.
*Looks like they're going to allow us to make signs to bring and wave. That's only if you want to bring one of course.
This is only if it sounds like fun for you.
We're waiting for final word on that, as well as what the signs can say.
*No one under 14 will be admitted. There is NO EXCEPTION to this. None. Zero. Don't even try.
Sorry for being so intense on this, but the Production People have told us to be sure to let everyone know this:
That are no exceptions that will be made about this.
*About the Weather: It will probably be VERY HOT and SUNNY. So dress lightly under the coats you're bring to be in the scene.
Well be removing the coats between scenes.
No One Wearing Shorts will be admitted onto set, even though hot. Just wouldn't match the scene.
*More about Weather:
Production is asking you to: Bring an umbrella with you to keep the sun off of you during breaks in filming.
Bring Suntan Lotion with you.
•More On Weather:
Looks like THEY ARE FILMING RAIN OR SHINE (as long as there's no lightning going on).
Truth is, hey, this is Gotham City... and Gotham as you remember from past films is a Very Very Moody Place.
So, whatever the weather Dark Knight Rises IS filming.
If it starts raining too hard we will move under the stadium overhangs to keep dry till it lets up.
WOW, WHAT AN ADVENTURE OF REAL MOVIE MAKING. This is really what it's all about.
And Hey, It's The Dark Knight Rises after all. How cool is all this.
*The first scene of our filming day is the kick off scene.
And from what we're hearing we're in for some really special surprises as to who's on the Gotham Rogues football team.
We'll keep you posted as we hear more about this.
We still don't know which of the cast will be on set that day.
As we get more info about the film day in general, we will keep you posted through email.
However, for more up to the minute info about the movie and everything going on, you may want to
Like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

<center>http://beinamovie.com/images/logo_text.jpg</center>Hi BeInAMovie and Dark Knight Fans,
Just a heads up... we know you're there waiting for all the on set descriptions
And location and map info on our Free parking and shuttle to set (absolutely NO PARKING AT SET).
Prize info,
Things to wear and not wear (absolutely NO LOGOS, that means no Steeler's or Batman things),
And tons of other really cool and interesting and essential film things.
We will begin emailing everyone as early as Friday, but may be over the weekend or on Monday,
With a link to click and pick up your INFO PACK and SET PASS. You will need a PRINTED COPY of your SET PASS to get in.
So couple of things about the day we've been hearing, The kick off scene will probably be the earliest along with the National Anthem.
We've heard that there are going to be some pretty big surprises as to who's going to be there for both of those.
Then there's going to be some things blown up, more on that as we hear it.
Some more key and telling scenes before lunch with us in them.
Then another huge special effects scene later afternoon. Again with some big surprises that they just won't talk about in advance.
Tons of great raffle prizes given away ALL DAY.
The BIG RAFFLE PRIZES will start toward the end of the day... Delta round trip tickets, The Dark Knight Rises Premier and After Party, including air fair and hotel for 2 (I want that one), Paid Extra parts in upcoming scenes filming in Pittsburgh and more more more and more.
So friends, just hang in there for a bit more as we gather all the info and get ready for a great film adventure.

<center>http://beinamovie.com/images/logo_text.jpg</center>Hey Everyone,
New word and update from the producers...
We're filming rain or shine.
They're requesting that everyone bring an umbrella (small one best) so if it's really hot and sunny you can keep from getting to sunburned.
And if it's stormy, like it often is in Gotham City, we can keep dry. And if it turns really heavy rain we'll move under the stadium overhangs till it clears up for the next shot.
Also heard that there's going to be some MAJOR special effect explosions on set.
The scene takes place late Fall/Early Winter, so dress appropriately in layers so you can take any jackets or coats off between scenes.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Just heard that if you want to make and bring a sign to wave around during filming, the approved copy you can use will be on the INFO PACK you'll be able to pick up online soon.
REMEMBER: No Logos, No Steeler's anything, No Batman anything. This is Gotham City.
NEW UPDATE JUST IN:
And we just added another HUGE RAFFLE PRIZE to the end of day raffle. You won't believe it... you'll find out at set. You won't want to leave till this one's given out. Nothing like a big surprise.
We should have the INFO PACK and SET PASS ready to print out in about 2 or 3 days. You need to check your mail often for the email with the link to the Info Pack. People not responding will be put on the Stand By list within 24 hours.
If you can't make it... PLEASE CANCEL soon as you know, so someone else can have a chance of attending.
If you do that we'll keep you updated to the next film you can be in. If you sign up and confirm and don't show up you will NOT be allowed to attend any future film adventures. To cancel (and we don't need a reason) just go to:

Filming seems to be picking up in Pittsburgh. Photos of film sets are starting to surface, and there was one shot where three of the Batmobile models were being driven on some track some where.
With the film starting to get moving in the States, I for one hope that WB is smart enough to actually release press/promo photos of Batman, and more specifically, Bane and Catwoman before we get leaked copies.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for spoilers, but I'd like the see the characters in all their intended, epically photshopped glory before seeing a shot of them taken on a cell phone.

http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/168081-more-from-gotham-in-pittsburgh
Thanks to the movie magic employed by the makers of the Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises," one block in Lawrenceville was immune from the heat, humidity and intermittent showers that fell Friday afternoon.
On 41st Street between Butler and Foster streets, director Christopher Nolan was on-site to oversee the film's first day of shooting in Pittsburgh. Under his watchful eye, dozens of cargo-short clad staffers converted picturesque row house No. 170 into the home of a Gotham City judge, played by Brett Cullen.
Piles of fake snow dotted the sidewalks, and black canvas drapes and heavy-duty screens blotted out the sun to create a dreary winter backdrop. Wind and dust machines were on hand to create a storm, even though Pittsburgh skies threatened their own as the afternoon wore on.
Gary Oldman's police Commissioner Jim Gordon ran up the house's steps in take after take to alert the judge to dirty dealings and increasing violence in Gotham.
Well-meaning Wayne Enterprises board member Miranda Tate, played by Marion Cotillard, came to the judge's house in a scene with Commissioner Gordon and Detective Jim Blake, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Weird'd out by these daytime shoots. Batman over the rubble of Rachel's death at dawn was odd (though at least emotional). Gotta take big things to bring Batman out in the day. What is Bane planning..?
And those camo Tumblers must be used by Gotham authorities perhaps in response to Batman and/or his absence, as well as whatever craziness Bane is unleashing.
Is that the Arkham breakout going on in that picture?

Not Arkham, supposed to be a prison (not asylum).
As far as the jacket goes - remember, this movie apparently takes place during the fall/winter, so while Mr. Freeze would be fine in swim trunks, most everyone else would be wearing a jacket of some sort.

The groom is a local news reporter who actually got married right by where they were filming. I really doubt any of their footage - if the movie cameras were even rolling - is going to be in the movie.

Yea. Things will look much better once the post production workers get their hands on the final pieces. The bat suit still looks slick, at least IMO.
Love Hathaway's jump suit. I wonder if there will be some sort of cowl or cat mask. Not to mention, none of us really know when in the film this is all going on. I'll reserve final judgement until later.
Also...
Did anyone see Marion Cotillard's set pics? She seems to ave a very serious, somewhat intense look in her eyes. I'm thinking she's revealed to be Thalia by that point.
No matter what light, dark light, night light, infrared, ultraviolet, rainbows, that Bane looks like crap to me. Bats and Catwoman I will give a chance since there's no way they're gonna make Batman look less than stellar and with Catwoman, I think I'll just be distracted with her curves.

Think you're judging a little early there, Jura. There's still quite a bit they can do with the lighting. Like Kalyx said, right now they're just people running around in costumes. Everything will be enhanced and look miles better once it's been edited accordingly.
I really hope we see some sort of mask/cowl for Hathaway. Seems like her wearing hi tech goggles alone wouldn't cut. I'm sure it would not effect my viewing pleasure if everything's done well, but I'd like to see it.
ROFL at Catwoman with the Batpod, didn't see that coming. Also Jura, stop being a pansy

Some pretty big details
Proving that there is still power in print media, UK movie magazine Empire has a cover story this month on The Dark Knight Rises, complete with a Christopher Nolan interview. In a tantalizing preview on the mag’s site, some new details on the film are revealed.
Here’s the big news: A six-to-seven minute prologue will be screened in front of IMAX showings of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, starting Dec. 21.” The segment will be “an introduction to Bane, and a taste of the rest of the film,” the director said.
The most surprising tidbit? The movie takes place eight years after 2008′s The Dark Knight. Nolan says: “Perhaps surprisingly for some people, our story picks up quite a bit later, eight years after The Dark Knight. So he’s an older Bruce Wayne; he’s not in a great state.”
There also looks to be a good deal of Bane talk in the article, with costume designer Lindy Hemming explaining how the “Venom” will work in the film, saying, “He’s suffering from pain and needs gas to survive. He can’t survive the pain without the mask. The pipes from the mask go back along his jawline and feed into the thing at his back, where there are two cannisters.”
So it takes place eight years later. Not sure how I feel about that. I'm sure Nolan can make it work.
Also, apparently you can't put a quote in a spoiler tag.
Well, so much for that spoiler tag.

He's brutal. Brutal. He's a big dude who's incredibly clinical, in the fact that he has a result-based and oriented fighting style. It's not about fighting. It's about carnage. The style is heavy-handed, heavy-footed, it's nasty. Anything from small-joint manipulation to crushing skulls, crushing rib cages, stamping on shins and knees and necks and collarbones and snapping heads off and tearing his fists through chests, ripping out spinal columns. He is a terrorist in mentality as well as brutal action.

He did. Some say bane may know what really went down with Dent. All he'd have to do is have a chat with the Joker about it. Or perhaps he wants to perpetuate the 'official' report of Batman killing Dent.

Saw both the trailer AND prologue. The prologue is a pretty cool set up for Bane. It more or less teases what he's capable of and a possible backstory on him prior to his arrival in Gotham. Their's a montage of video at the end with Bane dumping a torn to shreds cowl, much like the recent poster that was released.
The trailer was awesome. I'm indifferent about what seems to be scenes taking place during the day. Kinda meh about Batman during the day, and kudos to whoever called it earlier in the thread, but other than that, it doesn't seems they scaled it down one bit. Also, the idea of this happening 8 years later. Bruce looking spent and haggered with Alfred saying he hasn't kept his promise to his parents about protecting Bruce just makes me excited for whatever subplot they have going for Bruce and Alfred.
As if I wasn't excited already. I can't wait for this movie.

http://tomfoolery4.wordpress.com/2011/02/13/the-dark-knight-rises-bombshell/
So here’s what we know so far about The Dark Knight Rises…
Tom Hardy is going to play Bane. Anne Hathaway is cast as Catwoman. Christopher Nolan penned the script with David Goyer and Christian Bale is returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Joseph Gordon Levitt was recently brought on board as…?
There have been speculations that he would play Robin or Nightwing. There’s no way in hell that will ever happen as Nolan and Bale have repeatedly stated that if Robin showed up the world they inhabited that they’d walk. Nolan may like to throw curveballs, but he wouldn’t do that.
Out of all the rumors I’ve heard online, I truly can’t believe that no one has jumped to this conclusion yet.
The Dark Knight trilogy is based on realism. A fictional city where super powers don’t exist with heroes and villains who could actually appear in our own world. The Dark Knight dealt with the idea of someone else taking up Batman’s ‘mantle’ once he was too old or no longer fit to serve as Gotham’s protector. Harvey Dent was a worthy successor until he was corrupted by the criminal underworld as well as the Joker.
The Dark Knight Rises will certainly explore Batman’s outcast status with the Gotham P.D. and his criminal image with the public. In addition to protecting the innocent and wiping out crime when the underworld is scrambling for a way to wipe him out, Batman now has the added frustration of dodging the cops while he’s trying to do his job. Enter Bane (played by Tom Hardy). So who will Joseph Gordon Levitt play?
I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Levitt will play Azrael, the man that Bruce Wayne recruits as Batman after his back is broken. Bane is going to break Batman. It may be his back or it may be something else, but that level of violence would be a strong departure from the flamboyant embarrassment that Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin portrayed Bane as. In the DC Universe, Bane broke Batman’s back and Azrael took up the mantel for a brief time, broke Batman’s rules and eventually had to give up his title because Wayne took it back after rehabilitation. It was a key moment in the Batman mythos.
I may not be an expert on a lot of subjects, but I’ve read Batman all my life. I’ve studied Nolans films (before and after) with a Jesuit-like thoroughness. I’m calling it right here, right now: Joseph Gordon Levitt will play Azrael. There’s a reason why his casting hasn’t been announced by Warner Bros. Once you tip that domino, the entire plot clicks into place.
I’ll go one step further and say that Bane’s character will be more of a steroid-injecting addict than a man with a tube in the back of his head. That sort of cartoonish grandstanding won’t hold up in Nolan’s mind. Expect to see Hardy shooting up with a needle, plan on seeing Christian Bale as a near-invalid trying to rehabilitate his body with Alfred’s help and plan on watching Levitt take his role as Gotham’s Guardian one step too far.
When I wrote for Buffalo Rising, I predicted that The Dark Knight would meet or beat the international box office draw for Titanic. It came within spitting distance. Levitt will play Azrael. Count on it.

Also I am at work so I can't watch that video right now. Gist me.
I don't keep up with any of the rumours/spoilers and so on but I'm a Joseph Gordon-Levitt mark and I remember when he was first cast in the film god knows how long ago that there was something along the lines of him being "the next Batman" mentioned. dunno
oh that thing Reavant posted is from over a year ago. maybe that guy read the same thing I did and is passing it off as "JUST A HUNCH GUYS"

I have it on good authority that Joseph Gordon Levitt is actually playing the Earthquake from No Man's Land. The entire arc will be compressed to fit into 2 and a half hours.
Skippord

that would be pretty sweet, gonna make a movie with a guy playing an earthquake. also gonna get David Lynch to write it.

wanted to add "also the movie will take place in John Malkovich's mind" but apparently David Lynch had nothing to do with that movie

Because you're asking another director to try and replicate someone else's aesthetic rather than bring their own. I'd rather see a whole different take than a copy if the same people aren't involved. Let Nolan's work stand as is.

another story of how Batman came to be...
I just don't like that idea. The story never evolves past a few episodes otherwise.

I think the series should end after this instalment of Batman (Dark Knight rises).
Some time in the year 2020 or 2021, a new line of Batman movies can be created. I think the Batman series prior to the current one ended in the late 90's sometime (1997-1998ish?), and the current Batman started in 2005. So, a 7-8 year break between.

A reboot doesn't necessarily mean that. I think enough people are familiar with Batman's origins that doing that story again isn't necessary. Hell, even the first of the Keaton Batman flicks didn't bother with that. And Batman has one of the richest lineup of villains in comics. I'd love to see a new Riddler, or Mr. Freeze, or Black Mask, or Hush...there's tons of possibilities.
Frankly, I don't think anyone will dare touch the Joker for a long while. But if they do, I'm not opposed to seeing what someone else would do with it.

That's not to say they won't try but just look at the differences between Returns and Forever it may as well have been a new series the recasting of the lead didn't help either.

I agree with what was already said in getting a new guy to continue the current franchise in that you're asking someone to replicate work that isn't theirs. If Nolan isn't going to be directing, which he isn't, then the current incarnation should be put to rest once this movie hits.
Add to the fact that Nolan has said on record that there was always a start and end for his take on Bruce Wayne, and that the characters in his world don't go on forever, and it sounds like there won't be anything to build off of. Nolan is coming off as if the ending to this film is so concrete and emphatic that there's nothing left to be explored.
I would personally hope they go a different, unrelated direction when they reboot. I don't think doing an origin film is the way to go, and honestly, they shouldn't be trying to pump another one out in three years. I feel it should be longer than that. Feels like Nolan's series will still be fresh in people's minds.

Im pretty sure a studio will make a new Batman movie within a year or two. The rate of media disposal we face today is so much different than it was back in the 90's or even the mid 2000's. They're already starting a new Spider Man series up this year in the midst of The Avengers and Batman.
I wish they would wait to give the fans some more time, but the money says that they are going to cash in while they can.
