Done with Edge's Blu-Ray. Doesn't have much to do with his career. It was okay.

Be patient, I hear Triple H is actually smithing each disk of iron with his own sledgehammer.
He better hope he doesn't take an arrow in the knee or that'll be the end of those adventures...:shifty:
this entire thread has been ruined by that last post
worthless now, take it out back and shoot it
would rather have had a Family Guy video than that
or a video of my own suicide
or somebody setting fire to all of my childhood pets

Gotta save some for Falls Count Anywhere Vol. 2
Disappointed there are no Raven's rules matches, but then I remember the lawsuit.
It really sucks that because of obvious reasons, the most classic falls count anywhere match in WCW history will probably never see the light of day: DDP vs Benoit vs Raven at Uncensored 1997.

Really?
Because it's such a common move. I guess he gave it more 'flair' but still, it's just a leg drop. It just looks funny to see wrestlers take all these other moves and kick out, but the leg drop gets him a win.

Probably gonna buy that DVD since I missed the Rock/Cena 1 hour special. Once in a Lifetime.
I am pretty sure that the "Here Comes The Pain" DVD covers his entire first run.
The night after WrestleMania XXVIII, Brock Lesnar made a shocking return to the ring and leveled John Cena with an F-5, sending a message that after 8 years, the pain is back. In 2002 & 2003, “The Next Big Thing” brought it to the biggest & baddest competition in WWE, becoming the youngest WWE Champion of all time, and a household name overnight. His awe-inspiring physique, amateur championship pedigree and affinity for punishing opponents made him an unstoppable force in the ring. Now, after years of dominating the MMA scene, Brock is back and looking to steamroll the biggest Superstars of today. This DVD set includes the original 2003 documentary ‘Here Comes The Pain’ plus 30 minutes of new interview footage, and 6 hours of matches not included in the original DVD. Featuring classic matches against Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio & more, plus Brock’s controversial comments upon his return to sports entertainment!

Punk trailer #2, much better than the first
for Brits/Europeans, WrestleMania XX is on sale at Silvervision.co.uk for £6.99. That price alone is worth it just for The Mania of Mania documentary piece, which is probably the best thing WWE has ever put out on disc, let alone the actual Mania show/HHH-HBK-Benoit
Fignuts

Was hoping for a couple IWA and ROH matches, after all the hype surrounding it.
Dunno why they didn't since they are using footage from those two promotions to promote it.
dunno, one Punk ROH match is probably the length of about 6 WWE matches, only so much space/discs
Emperor Smeat
09-01-2012, 06:54 PM
Probably didn't feel like paying either IWA or ROH for those matches while it was a lot cheaper just to get a few clips instead. Same for anything he did in TNA.

Silvervision.co.uk has revealed the content of WWE's nWo: The Revolution DVD and Blu-ray, scheduled for release on November 6.
The synopsis reads: "In the mid-90s, a malicious group of renegades 'invaded' World Championship Wrestling, shaking the landscape of the sports-entertainment world and turning the tables on Monday Night War. Little did anyone know, the shock of the century was yet to come. When Hulk Hogan did the unthinkable and turned his back on the fans, The Outsiders had officially become The New World Order, and chaos ensued. Now, relive the history of one of the most infamous and controversial factions of all time with this brand new documentary. Get the inside scoop from those who lived it, such as Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, as well as new interviews from Superstars who were inspired and enthralled by the nWo. Probably didn't feel like paying either IWA or ROH for those matches while it was a lot cheaper just to get a few clips instead. Same for anything he did in TNA.
For example in the Jericho DVD set, there is only 1 match that isn't owned from the vast library WWE owns.WWE: Ian we'd like to use some IWA footage in our new Punk DVD.
IAN: You have to have to pay me 50 thousand hundred million dollars!
WWE: We have a Cal Ripken game used bat and this empty jug.
IAN: I'll take it! A-git-git-git-git.......

Hasn't been completely confirmed yet but the Attitude Era dvd that was planned to be released after Linda's election got cancelled for this year. It was originally planned to be released regardless of Linda winning or loosing her race.
The listings for WWE: The Attitude Era on DVD and Blu-ray formats for November 2012 release have been removed from internal schedules for both the United States and Australia. This usually occurs when a title in question has been cancelled or postponed.
As of today, the majority of retail sites (such as here on Amazon) still have it listed for release but this is likely to change in the coming days. One such retail site, BestBuy.com, no longer have the standard versions available to pre-order.
The Attitude Era DVD was first revealed as going ahead back in July. A synopsis was published and a release date allocated, but artwork and content listings were yet to be released. Filming and production for the set will have already completed over the past couple of months.
However, as of late WWE and former CEO Linda McMahon have been under political fire amid the upcoming U.S. Senate election. The DVD was brought into question by Connecticut based newspaper The Journal Inquirer given the risqué footage attributed to the Attitude Era, and its November release time being so soon after the election. Prior to this, WWE made the call to remove certain footage from YouTube and other video sharing sites in order to “protect their corporate reputation from being mischaracterized in negative political agendas”.
We cannot confirm an outright cancellation at this stage, but the schedule removals at the very least suggest there will no Attitude Era DVD this year.

It might be worth getting for the matches/extras, but the documentary alone is kind of lacking. I was kind of underwhelmed

Lack of Kaientai and Essa Rios. The cover art reminds me of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band.

I don't blame you for thinking that.
I can see the intention behind it but it is a pretty bad cover. It just looks like a Photoshop novice found the lasso tool and went crazy with it for 10 minutes.
But no, it's not fake. It's very real.

Now in this 3DVD set fans can own all the infamous moments from this controversial and revolutionary era that redefined sports entertainment for an entire generation. I got the Attitude blu ray the other day and have got to say, I really wasn't impressed with it. The documentary lasted barely an hour and a half, and talked the majority of the time about the main event guys, which was really disappointing considering how amazing the midcard was at that time.
Same goes for the special features/extras, the majority of them were from the ppv shows, with only a handful from Raw/Smackdown and again focusses on the main event scene and very little on the midcard. Thankfully with the blu ray there was some exclusive content which makes up for it, but overall, I was very disappointed with this, it could have been so much better.

Eh..I wouldn't pay full price for it now just for the doc. Its OK, but you probably know 90% of the story and it kinda glares over some points in time while spending like 20 minutes on just his time as commissioner Foley in 2000 which is dumb to me.

The Best of Madison Square Garden can now be fully confirmed for DVD and Blu-ray release on August 27th.
WWE will be producing “The Best of MSG” as a 3 Disc DVD and 2 Disc Blu-ray. We can now exclusively reveal the official synopsis, format, and first details.
For nearly 50 years, Madison Square Garden has been the home of WWE. From sell out crowds cheering on Bruno Sammartino’s incredible championship run to the birth of Hulkamania, the inaugural WrestleMania, a stunner heard round the world and several legendary moments in between, WWE presents the moments that have helped legitimize the moniker World’s Most Famous Arena.
This collection showcases over 20 of the greatest matches and moments at MSG spanning all generations of WWE. Along with interviews from several WWE legends and Superstars, fans will relive several of the key moments in history that shaped the WWE of today.
We’re hearing that new interview pieces with Bruno Sammartino will be featured on here, and that WWE are going for a “never-before-seen on DVD” approach with several of the 20+ matches to be included. As for the more obvious match picks, we can confirm the Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels Ladder Match from WrestleMania 10 is planned for the set, as is a look at John Cena’s Royal Rumble 2008 victory in the Garden.
More details to follow as and when we receive them. Look for the DVD and Blu-ray to go up for pre-order on retail sites like Amazon.com in the coming weeks.
Courtesy of WWEDVDNews.com, here is the official synopsis for WWE's Legends of Mid-South Wrestling DVD and Blu-ray:
"Mid-South was one of the hottest wrestling promotions of the 1980s where future stars such as Shawn Michaels, Jake Roberts, Ted DiBiase, Junkyard Dog and Hacksaw Duggan began their careers. Consider some of the best talent with personas that blurred the lines between good and evil. This 3-disc compilation features the biggest matches and biggest stories of the Mid-South promotion and provides a look into early the careers of some of wrestling’s greatest legends."
hope there's a decent length doc piece with that Mid-South DVD, could be great

There are some pretty amazing WWE DVDs out there. I don't know if this is the place to discuss it, but are there any DVDs that you would really like to see put out there? Years back, I wanted to see an "Edge & Christian: Reeking of Awesomeness" DVD, but now I think a Christian DVD could be pretty fucking sweet. The guy has had a full career of championship victories, classic matches, hilarious antics and promos. To hear Vince McMahon say a few words on Christian's career would be interesting.
Would love to see a "Daniel Bryan: Rise of the Dragon" DVD as well, which would chronicle his career spanning from whatever archive footage they have of him, through NXT, his first successes in the WWE until sometime in the future, where he hopefully captures the WWE Championship.

does any footage from the 60s exist from MSG?
I find it odd they didn't include that era as well.
Emperor Smeat
07-10-2013, 09:30 PM
Think they have some footage but its not until the 70s and Vince starting to get involved in the business that the idea of keeping and storing tapes was a priority for the WWF.
He's the main reason why a lot of their own stuff from the 70s and 80s still exist compared to previous eras and other companies.
Dude Marsh
07-11-2013, 01:46 PM
I find it lazy that they are using Wrestlemania matches on the MSG DVD. Surely they had some MSG house shows taped? Or even more footage from the early 80's shows? Or even more Raws, I don't care. It's just that I'm sure that the majority of people who buy WWE DVDs already have those Wrestlemania matches on other compilations.
Seth82
07-11-2013, 04:01 PM
There's tons of MSG footage they could've used.
they used to air the shows on the MSG Network in the late 70s and 80s.
James Steele
07-11-2013, 07:53 PM
How many DVDs would they sell if the DVD consisted of a bunch of matches nobody outside of New York City 20+ years ago remember even happening? Besides, it is about the best and most famous moments WWE has had at MSG. House Shows usually don't have many things that fall into that description.
Dude Marsh

I don't know. Was Mid-South ever that popular outside of the territory? I know I have never seen it on TV, but the lineup of matches is interesting enough for me to give it a try.

Big rumor regarding an upcoming RAW based DVD set.
As we’ve been reporting lately, the Raw 20th Anniversary DVD and Blu-ray box set looks to have been given the go ahead. The working title right now is “Raw 20th Anniversary Collection” and the release date is slated to be December 3rd, 2013.
The project was long speculated to be more than WWE’s norm three disc DVD or two disc Blu-ray compilations seen throughout a given year, and last week in Daniel’s Diary we revealed an unconfirmed rumor that the box set is planned to be comprised of more than 4 discs and even contain “multiple episodes of Monday Night Raw”.
It’s Monday night and Raw is about to go on the air, so what better time to update you with a follow up to that rumor? While still unconfirmed at this point, we’ve heard that the collection will take on a “Greatest Episodes” theme and feature up to 20 episodes of the show.
Even better, we hear that the Raw episodes chosen will be shown in full and unedited. By our calculations, that could end up being at least a ten disc DVD set! Once again, this is unconfirmed information but this is the news we’re hearing today. More soon.

New Warrior DVD set rumored to be arriving next year.
We can now exclusively reveal that a new Ultimate Warrior DVD is currently in the works at WWE for release next year!
It’s down on the schedule as a full blown 3 disc DVD (2 disc Blu-ray) and listed as a “match compilation”. There is no word as of now if Warrior himself will be involved but that is possible given his recent new ties to the company as relates to the WWE 2K14 video game and a rumored meeting with Vince McMahon during SummerSlam weekend.

once again, just because it's old, doesn't mean it has to mean something. The AWA and especially the WWA versions of the Heenan Family are irrelevant given it was done on a much bigger and better scale and was world famous elsewhere. Triple Threat and Devastation Inc = never reached the popularity of other stables more likely to be on the DVD (really, Triple Threat?) Did Gary Hart even have a stable? I don't have a problem with them/the guys involved themselves more the notion that they're one of wrestling's greatest factions ever. Unless they make a point out of including at least one faction from most major territories, they'd seem a bit out of place

Gary Hart's J-Tex Corporation in NWA 1989 should get a mention as that year was pretty hot for the NWA with the Flair/Funk feud and the Sting/Muta feud. The other guys in the stable did nothing of note though (I think it was Sawyer and Dragon Master and maybe someone else)

I'm sure they could if they tried. Include the match where DDP wins the WCW title for the first time. Also nothing in 1995 either and only one in 1996.
Hope this takes to the network soon after or netflix.

I'm surprised they bothered with his WCW stint.

Wal-Mart has a thing going on where you can get specific 2-DVD sets for ten bucks, or a DVD with a TShirt for 15. I stopped in on the way home and got the Clash of the Champions DVD (it was paired with the Hogan Unreleased Matches DVD, which might be good for something.) Loving it so far if nothing else for the Austin/Flair interaction in the Arn/Flair vs Hollywood Blondes match, and the Gordon Solie/Bobby Heenan commentary team during Dustin Rhodes vs William Regal. Never knew those two sat in the booth together. Fucking magical.
Wow! A prehistoric thread. Remember when people use to collect actual physical discs? Good old times.
