Is the Raw GM podium still there?

I don't think so. I think the anonymous GM will be dropped until further notice, please, let it the fuck go.

My podium is still there. However, with all my bosses being there and making all the decisions, I have pretty much had a few month vacation. I have not been wished well in my future endeavors just yet.

I feel like the podium is still there. If I didn't see it last night, I saw it at SummerSlam.

I'm re-watching Riley vs Swagger just for the commentary. Seriously, that was so entertaining. I don't know what Cole, Lawler and JR were drinking throughout the night but they went from "meh" to absolutely brilliant together in the span of one week.
And I've been on the fence for so long but I think I'm officially on the Dolph Ziggler bandwagon. He's a star.

Finally had a chance to watch:
1. After a month of building a "new" WWE, it feels based solely on promos that we're back to mid-card Punk and Super Cena. Punk never once mentioned getting a rematch, and Cena was all "I'm coming after you, Del Rio!"
2. I've read that there are 5 or so different directions they've considered taking the Nash storyline. It showed during his segment. Ambiguous statements are ambiguous.
3. Anyone else notice that while they gave Truth back his music, the intro changed from "The truth shall set you free" to "The truth has set me free"?
4. When they first came back from break for the Swagger match, it felt really awkward to have Vickie and Dolph just kind of muttering somewhat quietly as the first sounds from commentary. I thought there was a random backstage mike left on picking up a passing conversation.
5. Not really sure if Mysterio is off tv or not. Usually if WWE is writing someone off in an injury angle, they stretcher the guy out, or at least show refs/EMTs helping the guy to the back. We didn't even get a "Rey with the trainers" moment. (On a related note, TO ME, Rey is less entertaining than Cena. Rey has his own "5 Moves of Doom" and is constantly coming back from extreme beatings. Rey sells better than Cena, but the "Little Big Man" syndrome gets to me much worse.)
6. For a company trying to endorse an "anti-bullying" campaign, someone desperately needs to tell Lawler to stop directing fat jokes at a now much slimmer Vickie.

The WWE needs to continue building CM Punk versus Kevin Nash. With Punk going over strong and beating Nash so badly that Nash gives up whoever put him up to it so CM Punk can then target that guy.

LOL hell naw! Punk beating 7 foot Nash so badly he gives up whoever put him to it?
I think what Mr. JL meant to say was "The WWE needs to continue building CM Punk versus Kevin Nash. With Nash powerbombing Punk so hard that he has a near death experience, complete with Vince in fancy dress, a white light at the end of the tunnel and Sid before Scott Hall dressed as Eddie Guerrero emerges from the light and points Punk in the right direction as to who is guiding Kevin Nash. Which naturally will turn out to be Kevin Nash merely with a 2nd phone. And then Nash draws 38,000 to the Garden again for Survivor Series as they have the match of the year"

...Nash still draws...the times he's been out, he has shaken up the wrestling world, fans have gone crazy...so, there's SOMETHING there...
...could a Punk/Nash match sell out? DEFINITELY.
BTW, I'm watching RAW on Mun2 now, the replay, and when Nash came out, it was said by Michael Cole that he (Kevin) was the longest reigning WWE Champion of the 90s...wow...
not only the longest reigning but the undisputed highest drawing champion by a considerable amount also

I am no big fan of Punk and never have been, but I can see he is the hottest commodity in the WWE right now and feeding him to 50 year old Kevin Nash is just stupid. Now, have Punk take out Nash and keep Punk's momentum going with strong wins over BIG name guys and you can really make him into a star. Especially since he has the fans attentions right now.

The difference generally is that even with "5 moves of doom", Rey can still lose after hitting them. It's not "automatic I win this." It took the last two matches with CM Punk for Cena to job to someone for the first time in a long time (albeit not cleanly either time, but still). There wasn't that "overcoming the odds" SuperCena that can take finishers to concrete and still hop up at the 9 count to slide back in the ring and kick ass. Rey doesn't always do that.

I can't even imagine how many people would fit into the Garden with Nash vs. Punk for Survivor Series. I'm thinking 70,000 at least, with the new catwalk they're putting in.

Kevin Nash is good as a guy who refuses to “get it” as far as what the audience wants. I, for one, believe that Triple-H and Stephanie McMahon are behind it together, so you got the non-wrestler Stephanie, the part time wrestler Nash, and the “two more matches” wrestler Triple-H. Possibly bring in X-Pac.
Then, between now and Royal Rumble, Triple-H is revealed as the mastermind, culminating in him screwing CM Punk over as soon as he gets the belt back. Punk/Triple-H has all the makings to be the best match they’ve ever put on, but you have to get all the way to April 1st. It’s only August. They need to tease it until the time is right to build the momentum into WrestleMania.

Come on, we all know Punk will regain the title and lose it to Nash via some kind of screwjob. Afterwards, some sort of rift between Nash and HHH develops, culminating in a match between those two. What happens then? HHH delivers the most devastating finisher of all time, the finger poke of doom, and walks out as the new champion. It's gonna happen. Believe it.
That was actually meant as a joke, but the more I read over it, the more plausible it sounds.

...you guys can't tell me it wouldn't be awesome to have The Kliq as an "on air" stable...
...pretty sure nobody is telling you that...
Former WWE Champion CM Punk recently appeared on Mark Madden's radio show in Pittsburgh. Madden asked Punk if he was headed for a feud with Triple H and if he was, could he escape that feud "undamaged."
"That's a fantastic question," Punk said. "And I'm not so sure that's where we're headed. I guess that's the $64,000 question. Everybody immediately assumes based on past experiences and past TV shows that this is what's going to happen. 'Punk's going to get buried.' That's one of those things, Mark, I hate to give you this answer but you have to wait and see. Is there a way I can escape that undamaged? Absolutely. Unless we're doing things we were doing 10 years ago and we don't really care about the future of the business. Because let's be honest, the future of the business is in jeopardy right now. If we want to make the same mistakes, then I'm obviously speaking out against it. But if we do make those same mistakes, I don't know if there's going to be a business in 30 years."

Scott Hall will never return anywhere near the WWE, and Shawn Michaels will never wrestle again, but Kevin Nash, Triple-H, and X-Pac could for one last program, which could finish off at WM28.
Nash, Triple-H/Stephanie, X-Pac... they all could have some sort of angle if done right.
