Have they ever mentioned that promo when it airs? It wouldn't necessarily be fed into their monitors and their headsets. But if they've mentioned it before and didn't this time, yeah, that's gaysex.

I really enjoyed tonight's show. Felt like a really tight show. No wasted space. Aside from the Divas match, of course.
I wonder what Cena does at TLC now. There are no more top/top-of-mid level heels for him to face.
After Monday's RAW from Tampa went off the air, there was a 41-man battle royal with the winner getting a WWE Championship match against CM Punk immediately.
Dolph Ziggler appeared to be eliminated early in the match and it came down to Zack Ryder, Cody Rhodes and Jack Swagger. After Ryder eliminated Rhodes and Swagger, Ziggler snuck in an eliminated Ryder to win the match and get the shot at Punk.
Out came CM Punk to defend the title against Ziggler with Vickie Guererro in his corner. There were "Vicky sucks" and "we want ice cream" chants during the match. Punk hit Ziggler with a knee in the corner and followed up with the Anaconda vice to get the win.

Ryder earned his money tonight lol 2 matches and was the next to last in the battle royal after.

I could see down the road that Ryder tries returning the favor only to end up screwing Cena of the WWE Championship by accident and then he snaps thus leading into the heel turn.

I just think 34 to 26 isnt much of a jump to beat the THIS KID WORKS HIS ASS OFF AND NEEDS A BREAK.
Its like, hes 26 and been in the WWE for like 4 years...hardly a KID IMHO.
Also, Cena is only 34. He has the Face of the Company for 7 years. We have at least 7 more.

If Ziggler can get two PPV matches in one night I don't have any issues with Ryder having two just on freaking tv as long as he's not pulling a Super-Cena in both of em it's fine by me.
Anybody Thrilla
12-07-2011, 05:30 AM
You seriously don't think that was too much Ryder? The two matches were pushing it, but what really put it over the top was when he ran down AGAIN for Ziggler's match after it already seemed like he had his moment for the night. It was just excessive. I feel like some people may still be riding the high of Ryder's story (and it's a great story), but if you seriously saw that much of Ryder every week, I doubt you'd be as into him.
In a case like Ryder's, I think the term "less is more" applies. Think about Survivor Series when the crowd was just clamoring to see him, then the pop he got when he finally DID show up out of nowhere. It's impossible to sustain that energy when you show the same guy in two matches and two additional segments. If it were up to me, I'd keep the Ryder appearances VERY limited and more surprising. I would let the crowd beg for him all night and FINALLY spring him out there for a moment. At least for now. We can't forget that the guy was just a huge jobber not too long ago. Even in kayfabe, he doesn't deserve that much air time. Ziggler may have two matches on a PPV, but that's because he's a CHAMPION, and he warrants that kind of attention.
Also, let's not forget that Dolph Ziggler is about forty one thousand times better than Zack Ryder.
Anybody Thrilla
12-07-2011, 05:34 AM
There's just no reason to have a guy who JUST stopped jobbing on the show that often and have your WWE champion on for one closing segment and hardly mentioned otherwise. The water will run dry at an astounding rate if this continues.

The thing with Cena giving up his title shot for Ryder should have been a great endearing moment for Cena and awesome for his character. But people are douchebags.

12-07-2011, 02:43 PM
You guys are so fickle. It was one show that gave fans exactly what they have wanted, Ryder in the spotlight gaining his title shot. Ontop of that when the hell has any secondary title had a story this powerful in the last several years. I can't stand how fickle the IWC can be, why jump the gun on saying Ryder is over exposed because of one major angle on Raw that has been building for months?
WWE is making new stars and Ryder is leading the pack, and on a side note he may be a strong reason as to why Colt Cabana didn't get a spot on Raw.

Chill out. It was just for one week. One show.
And it made good storytelling. It is making the US Championship important.
First match was fine.
Second match was as much about Cena as it was about Ryder, so that's fine.
His run in was just advancing the story between him and Ziggles some more. I see no problem with it at all.
If they have Ryder on the show as much weeks in a row, I agree, it would get tiring.
But for one week? And in the context of good storytelling? Making the US Title important? Giving it some focus and spotlight, which is what people are always clamoring for? Meanwhile, doing something semi-interesting with John Cena?
Good stuff.
Anybody Thrilla
