No they have to buy a fisher price replica.

Emperor Smeat
06-29-2012, 01:35 PM
Might have been the Rock or someone else that mentioned they get to keep a replica if given the opportunitny. I think the leather just gets placed from the real belt to the replica when the WWE wants to replace leather for a new champion.

I think it was The Rock as well that mentioned recently custom belts get kept as the actual belt.

Swish
06-29-2012, 02:12 PM
reason I asked was cause on the dvd's you'll see a wrestler such as The Rock
standing behind a case full of all the titles he had won. including the IC title

Saving Grace
06-29-2012, 02:33 PM
more than likely replicas either purchased to them or gifted to them by WWE or the ogranization. The only belts I know of that are originals that were given to the wrestlers were the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles. After WCW shut down and the assets sold to WWE, those belts were given to Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio. The only other confirmed one I know of is Rhyno holds the original versions of both the ECW Television and Heavyweight belts as gifted to him by Paul Heyman when he closed the doors in 2001.

Let's say WWE offered you a 4 year contract. With a
World Title Shot!!. But Let's say you sign with them. and you win the royal
rumble, after being with the company for 3 years, and are now headlining Wrestlemania (you know you'll win at mania). But you over hear talking
backstage about how Vince is attempting to screw you.
(reasons unknown). But you also get an offer from TNA.

Earnings from WWE: $5300,00 per month
Earnings from TNA (if you sign with tna): $5800.00 per month

What do you????.

Tazz Dan
07-04-2012, 05:27 PM
If I signed for WWE with those guarantees for that money, Vince wouldn't be screwing me, I'd be screwing myself.

Corporate CockSnogger
07-04-2012, 05:54 PM
Also if you sign for WWE, win the title and headline Wrestlemania, but then get screwed at some point to the extent where you quit or are released from WWE, TNA would still be snapping at your heels just for the chance to sign a former WWE champion anyway.

Also in your scenario, if they both offered you the contracts at the same time then you wouldn't know about the Vince screwing you thing yet, so definitely WWE.

Tazz Dan
07-04-2012, 05:57 PM

WWE. No question. A Royal Rumble win and a World Title victory at Mania? That makes you "the man" these days.

If you went to TNA first, Vince would always and forevermore look at you as "a TNA guy" and put you through a world of shit when you did eventually come to his company. You would have to do the whole job to the stars for a year thing before ever getting a spot near the top, and even then, you would never be one of "Vince's boys" like Cena, Orton, Undertaker, Triple H and Michaels. You would always be a Booker T or a Tazz or a RVD to him - a main event player, but never "the man."

And if things didn't work out and you did get "screwed", you go to TNA and make good money for a smaller schedule. Then one day you go back to WWE to finish off your career.

What do you????.

$530,000 a month for 3 years, fuck yeah son.

Not sure where your 'logic' comes in here though, 3 years with a main event slot at 'Mania then screwed over. Or TNA, who would give their right nut to sign a WWE main eventer & 'Mania headliner and would no doubt pay ypu a ricockulous amount of money for the priviledge of working 3/4 dates a month....yeah pretty simple stuff here. :wtf:

Would not sign with WWE.

Would debate signing with TNA.

Money thing isn't an issue really - and the 'dream' of WWE is not the same place it was when I was a little kid, so for me it'd be more about work rate, enjoying my position, traveling and flexibility, etc. than about money / 'so-called WWE fame' or titles or anything like that.

Keith

Why?

Most of WWE's roster is young, and nothing has happened with the Royal Rumble.

As long as Triple H is in WWE, they'll honor tradition. Triple H understands the history of WWE and the business in general.

I think you plant seeds for Taker/Lesnar at WM29.

I'd have to really think about the whole picture as to how it would play out, but in short, I'd have Lesnar destroy Taker to "send a message" to Triple H. As if to say "look what I did in 10 minutes that you couldn't do at two separate Manias."

It would have to be a very convincing beat down in order for it to kickoff a huge money making match for Mania. Lesnar can bust him open (ala the Extreme Rules "shoot style" on Cena in the very beginning of the match, but even more brutal), even tear up his classic jacket that he wears to the ring, break his arm, etc. I think it would be a very memorable and lasting image to see Taker get beat down that badly without any use of weapons.

It would be very effective in helping Lesnar get tons of heat back after a loss to Cena and a long absence.

I can't seem to watch RAW anymore. or PPV's for that matter.
I'm at that age, were WWE feels shit, Ok fair enough they are trying
to get some old legends back, I'll give them credit..

But lately, they lack on storylines, wrestlers wanting to improve.
or make it. (just looking for fame). Sell Out's and much more.

I'd be more than happy if they brought back Vince Russo.
at least he made the attitude era. he was the one that started it all..

Yet he get's hated. Come on...

Vince doesn't have a clue how to run the company, he only knows
how to profit, and turn it to the children. That's were he get's his billions from.

The storylines, always seem to be repeats too. How many times
are we going to see, John Cena, win the title?. and loose it?,.

It's about time he passed the touch onto someone else. and retire.

CM PUNK: He's the guy that could break WWE, bring back the attitude era
Bring back fucking Nexus. Punk the stable killer.

As for the rest well, wake me up when WWE start's getting exciting.

Raw is turning 1,000. Huge accomplishment and they appear to have huge plans in order. Perhaps it is not the WWE. Perhaps it is your inability to be satisfied after years of watching the highs and lows. Maybe now is a good time for you to step away. Get off the internet. And lastly, after time, you may remember why you loved the sport...Or more than likely you will go away completely realizing it has ran it's course in your life.

I imagine they will do like they did before 2002...just fill the Rumble with active wrestlers and maybe a celebrity. Until the 02 Rumble, there were never a bunch of "legends". The biggest prior to 02 might have been Vader's WWE debut. 2002 started this whole trend because it was so successful (they brought back Goldust, Mr. Perfect, Big Bossman, The Godfather, and Val Venis). They did that gimmick because of the rest of the card was loaded (McMahon vs Flair, Rock vs Jericho, Regal vs Edge, Dudleyz vs Spike/Tazz) and they needed to add some recognizable midcard talent to the match to keep it from just being about Taker/HHH/Angle/Big Show/Kane.

I grew up watching RAW, from 1995, onwards to the attitude era,
then finally giving up on it all together in 2007.

The invasion angle kept me glued, as I wanted to see how
it would end up panning out, but of course, WWE turned out victors.

Now when all the main guy's like Austin, Rock started leaving
due to injury's, and or making movies, that's when I began to loose interest.

I realized WWE would never be the same again.

Vince came up with the idea about targeting the younger generation
and used John Cena as the scape goat for that product. It was a huge succcess, so We get the blood, and tables taken away. and replaced with crappy PG versions of HELL IN A CELL, and FALLS COUNT ANYWERE MATCHS.

In my eyes though WWE has always brought in Kids as viewers,
if you go back far as the start like 1980 to Hulk Hogan, to the taped shows, you'll see how packed the arena's were filled with kidss supporting the likes of Undertaker. Now the arena's are filled with adults and just a small portion of children/teenagers. why? because it's an adult product, yet Vince seems to not realize this at all. he just cares about money money money.

Schlomey
07-17-2012, 11:29 PM

I think it's more his physique that made him look older. He looks like he has less muscle mass the last year or so. It didn't help he was standing next to Kane, who might be in the best shape of his life.

I was also disheartened when i saw that taker had lost a lot of the muscle tone he had.

However, I think that's a result due to his surgeries since WM 27, and I'm guessing he probably made some lifestyle changes since then, and heeding a saying from one of the posters on here of "taker(ing) it easy."

I'd guess that if he got back into his routine, he could get at least some of it back by SSeries or w.e hes set to return.

If we assume in the OP (as trollish as it seems) that The Rock is the WWE champion going into Wrestlemania, which is a possibility, why would he face The Undertaker? The match would be great. No doubt, it'd make some people happy. You have The Undertaker and this "streak," which has demonstrated a shelf life, and The Rock, one of the most popular guys ever.

Problem is, one of them has to lose. If The Rock loses, he passes the title to... The Undertaker? Doesn't make sense. If Taker loses, I think people are just going to scratch their heads while they watch the Rock celebrate with the WWE title after ending the streak. The Rock would have beaten the game and you'd see credits on the Titan Tron.

Not to be rude, it just doesn't make much sense to me, especially when you consider what the WWE has invested in The Rock since his return. He practically bulldozed Miz and R-Truth (who had a good deal of steam at the time) on his way to John Cena, then beat him too, no problem. I think the WWE has different plans for The Rock.

He may become WWE champion as previously speculated, but if he loses it at Wrestlemania, it will probably be to someone else, whom the WWE feels is their next big flag bearer for the future. I believe the WWE's reasons for wanting The Rock to get the strap, if they even do, wouldn't really need much explanation, for obvious reasons. However, one of the obvious things that really sticks out is the media exposure that would come with such a big movie star "making his big return" and winning the championship. It'd put a big focus on the WWE championship meaning something.

But, for that matter, The Rock might not be in line to get the title at all. They might simply need an open-ended reason, like him wanting a title shot, to explain why they're slapping him up against an opponent they haven't even decided on yet for the Royal Rumble.

Anyway, short version, I'm not exactly sure how The Rock will be handled come Wrestlemania, but I'm fairly sure he isn't going to be having a match with the Undertaker for the WWE title.

Rock Bottom

I know Mark Callaway is a legitimate badass and all, and is definitely considered a stud to be married to K2, but his face looked like an aging David Bowie due to the makeup. I would like him better with the makeup-less biker look for his face while maintaining his Druid robes so that he looks like an ancient warlock, which would totally be aligned with his overall gimmick.

I believe it could pass in PG WWE because it's not far off from Harry Potter. Taker could even Tombstone Voldemort as part of an HP film crossover promotion. :shifty:

I think the Undertaker is done now. I doubt he'll be having any more matches and will only be making appearances now, but IF he does have another match, I get the feeling it'll be his absolute last match and that it'll be against either John Cena or Kane and it'll be used to put an end to The Undertaker character all together.

I don't think it'll be at WrestleMania though, but if it is, then I'm sure it'll be at WrestleMania XXX and that The Undertaker would be losing the match and giving more reason and a more "grander" story to the end of The Undertaker.

The reason for me thinking it'll be at WrestleMania XXX is because if he is to face Cena in his last match, then WrestleMania XXX would be the place, as I get the feeling we'll be seeing Rock/Cena II at WrestleMania XXIX. I think we'll see Rock/Punk for the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble and The Rock wins. CM Punk has his rematch at Elimination Chamber but falls short. Meanwhile, Cena wins the Elimination Chamber match to determine the Number One Contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXIX.

The match between Cena & Rock happens and Cena wins and becomes Champion. Then whatever happens during 2013 happens and Cena loses his title, and either at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble 2014, The Undertaker or Cena challenge the other to a match at WrestleMania XXX while both remaining as faces.

WrestleMania XXX comes along and Cena wins, thus ending The Undertaker and something memorable happens to The Undertaker to create a "WrestleMania Moment", for example, The Undertaker is lying in the ring, it's dark and the bells are sounding and his Druid's come out and he get's struck by lightning and is gone. Something like that.

If he faces Kane, it'll probably be at Survivor Series, where The Undertaker began and Undertaker will lose. Probably in either a Casket Match or a Buried Alive Match and something memorable will happen to The Undertaker after the match, like what I said about WrestleMania XXX.

Shisen Kopf
07-29-2012, 01:20 PM
Undertaker will be in a triple threat match vs Kane and Big Show and Kane will pin big show and undertakers streak will end w/out ever being pinned. Then he'll say one more match and will lose to Ryback.

I agree, with that lazy mohawk it just looks as though someone pranked him while he was drunk.

All of that aside, I'm not sure he should come back.
He looked really sallow and skinny (for him anyway) on RAW, and I could tell he was gassed midway through the match. Not only that, but his movements and punches, etc. just seemed to lack the energy they used to have.

It could be that he was just going through the motions because it was only RAW and not a big PPV, but in my opinion it was not a good showing.

John Cena vs Undertaker is the best choice for WrestleMania, although maybe Taker will veto that to keep up his streak of great Mania matches from the past few years...

I agree with Rock Bottom that there is not much gained from Rock vs Undertaker, but the same could be said of HBK and HHH's matches with Taker too. The main thing gained would, of course, be money.

Undertaker has much bigger mainstream appeal than C.M. Punk, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Kane and pretty much any other opponent you could visualize being the one to end his streak.

And that's assuming that his streak will ever end.

Damndirty

I say Taker vs. Ryback, streak vs. streak. Very likely this isn't gonna happen, and if those bastards have any regard for my respect, they would NOT NOT NOT have the streak end with Cena winning. They are better off letting Taker keep something he can hold to his name.

As if Ryan Clark got this he obviously made it up, as it's obviously the one or the two that'll happen..

CM Punk vs Rock at Mania or
Cena vs Rock

Lmfao, I have to laugh at Ryan, I might start my own wrestling
news website. and start making shit up. see how it turns out

I heard Ryan Clark's 2 hour WZR Broadcast last night, and it wasn't very good. He and the other guy spent the first 30 minutes talking about what they did during the weekend. The next 30 minutes were spent talking about JTG's tweets, and the last hour was spent talking about Roddy Piper (yes, this shit's still being talked about).

So WWE patching things up with WWF aka World Wildlife Fund.
Do you think WWE would try to buy out the rights to the name WWF.
And use it full time like they did in the past?.

Also have they had more success with WWF or WWE????.

I doubt it.

But who knows? I still haven't gotten used to "World Wrestling Entertainment". It just doesn't sound as "sexy" as "World Wrestling Federation".

During the era of "sports entertainment" I don't think so.

If they ever get the movie division successful though, they MIGHT have some interest in using "WWF" again for the wrestling. But the overall company will NEVER go back to WWF again.

Why would they? They've established WWE as a viable brand. The shift might do more harm than good.

Can't believe people are still recycling the whole "WWF was better than WWE" thing. I got use to the term WWE like, way back in fucking 2003 or something. Who cares about "WWF" anymore.

A] I would like to see that nature conservancy fund change it's name, and let WWE get the full rights to the initials back.

B] WWE could still be used as the corporate company name, with the WWF being the TV identity.

C] The initials 'WWF' and the words 'World Wrestling Federation' roll off the tounge more naturally and organically than the initials 'WWE' and the words 'World Wrestling Entertainment'.

And if regaining the initials, and the right to speak them on TV, ever happened, it would likely come with a heavy price...about $100,000,000 minimum for it to happen. =P

No considering if they wanted to have gone back to the old WWF, it would have been done early on instead of having to spend all that money blurring and re-edit tons of footage for tv and dvd releases.

A] I would like to see that nature conservancy fund change it's name, and let WWE get the full rights to the initials back.

No way the Wildlife Fund just gives up their initials considering they owned them first and almost 20 years before the WWE had them. The WWE is older than the Fund but not in the name itself.

It's most likely because the last time they watched wrestling was back when it was known as WWF, so that's what they know it as.

Even wrestling fans were saying WWF sometimes when the change happened, but because we continued to watch the WWE after the name change and without us realising it, we slowly taught ourselves that the name "WWE" was correct and "WWF" was wrong.

So now, saying "WWE" feels right, whereas saying "WWF" feels wrong, unless we're referring to the past.

I see it as WWF before the mergers, but afterwards it became WCW+ECW+WWF=WWE.

I still watch it every now and again to this day. But back in 97
Was when I taped every episode of Raw and the ppv's. up until the late 2000s

WWF Was at it's peak, then I think when it became to popular, World Widelife Fund got greedy and jealous, and decided to take action. hoping to crumble WWF..

But it never happened WWE Became a product on it's own.

WWF Had it's Attitude Era

WWE Has it's PG Era

Of course if WWE had the chance to go back to WWF it would probably
be more :S than anything to new fans, of the product.

What good would going back to the WWF name do after more than ten years of establishing WWE? Most people here are talking about the differences between the WWF product and the WWE product. Changing the name is not going to change the product at all.

The only good it would do is they can stop annoyingly blurring selective "WWF" signs, banners, mic covers, ring aprons, etc.

But then, they'll still do things like overdub some wrestler themes with either shit producion songs or a WWE theme they weren't even close to using at that time, redact events containing Chris Benoit, grey the screen when there is a lot of blood in a recap, and pipe in pops or boos accordingly even if the actual moment didn't produce the desired results.

In other words, it would be a small consolation in being able to correct history that comes with what is sure to be a hefty price tag. And not too many people who SHOULD be bugged by the inital thing even are anymore for it to be a factor.
