Prime Time Players being #1 contenders actually has some build. Them getting a tag title match would almost constitute a storyline. That would be taboo for the undercard of the PPV. Random tag title match on the pre-show fits much better. Saves room for an impromptu Jack Swagger vs Zack Ryder match on the PPV.

I believe they wouldn't be giving her such a big spot in a feud such as this, if they didn't have anything set in stone from the start.

Are we thinking of the same company? lol

And they say Paul Heyman was a master Kool-Aid pusher...

Right. Also, PTP can now be pissed that the wetback connection got the title shot they had earned and feud with them about it while R-Kingston sit back and relax.

Just how I see it playa. I can agree that things get thrown togather and it usually goes the clusterfuck route or becomes a money draw. I'm just the type of viewer that just waits to see what unfold instead of scratching my head and question if they know what the fuck they are doing?

TNA has been showing more direction lately than WWE has by a million miles. WWE may need to watch it careless wandering, or it will be bitten on the ass like Santino was.

So PTP's hatred of Mexicans continues to distract them from cashing in their title shot. I like it.

I can agree that TNA has been on a roll the past several weeks. But as far as direction, I couldn't give them credit of being a million miles away ahead of WWE all because they pushed Austin Aries to the TNA championship.

I'd love to see it unfold into a big climax. But it's become almost a sure thing recently that they write stuff week by week with no resolution in mind and it all comes to a subtle change into something else with no climax whatsoever.

TNA isn't even on WWE's radar so I don't think that matters. Plus TNA can have more direction than WWE for a while but in the end, we'll have one well built up story with Rock-Cena or HHH-Taker or Cena-Lesnar or Lesnar-HHH that will just make TNA seem even further off the radar than it already is.

Yeah, that was just... strange. Henry was one of the best built heel champions I can remember. I don't wanna fault them too much for what happened to him because it definitely seemed like a sudden decision was made that he couldn't go or something.

That's true, they are still a long way from toppling WWE, but they are on a rise. If anything, TNA needs to pay attention to WWE to not steal ideas, but to know what not to do.

I remember watching Triple H throughout that entire ceremony just standing there smiling while everyone knew that he was about to just explode at some point. And then he said the line about "Now I'm seeing you tonight for exactly who you are..." and the crowd just gave a collective "Aww shit, here it comes!" kind of reaction. Brilliant.

Anytime they need to blow-off an angle, they use Hornswoggle.

Same thing happened when they were searching for "McMahon's Illegitimate Son". They were like "Meh, let's get this over with. Let's say it's Hornswoggle".

I'm happy with how far CM Punk has come since last year. Nothing like he was then but he is still good. But the product itself is still pretty stagnant - nothing like the hype from last year.

Should have been New Jack as the Raw GM. Balls Mahoney as Co-GM.

Wouldn't be surprised if she was originally meant to be with Kane before the sudden drop of him from the Bryan-Punk feud.

I'm thinking that's what Punk was allegedly upset about. The akward love triangle... square... triforce... thing they were doing added more intrigue, not to mention the added depth of "conflicted" Kane. And the fact that Kane was already dragged into the angle not by AJ, but by the actions of Bryan and Punk using him to soften each other up. There was more dynamic just having that third man there. Now, it's back to being simply face vs heel.

There's quite a bit of bite missing from this angle now just from dropping one person. Imagine how that table thing could have played out if Kane was waiting for her at the top of the stage. Or even if he were down there and went through the wood too.

Oh and Mark Henry, remember how long his reign was? Sure, it was injury, but he was still competing right after he lost it.

Yeah, that was just... strange. Henry was one of the best built heel champions I can remember. I don't wanna fault them too much for what happened to him because it definitely seemed like a sudden decision was made that he couldn't go or something.

Henry's going to be the guy who steps in to stop Big Show from "doing whatever he wants to do", much like Sheamus was the guy to halt Henry's steamrolling. He's the only guy believable enough to straight up stop Show, and since he's injured, he is going to come back as a face like he always does. I can see Show winning MITB, and Henry costing him, making him not only a 15 second champion, but the first cash-in loser, adding to his embarassing moments.

Or maybe I'm reading too much into this, since I'm a dreamer.

Total longshot, but how would you feel if this scenario came true on Sunday.

WWE Title MITB starts the show and Jericho wins.

AJ screws Punk, but then hits Daniel with a low blow or something. Jericho comes out and cashes in on Daniel, leaves with AJ. Turns out she was the girl in the video all along.

To WWE's credit, maybe they've been "taking it easy" with RAW these last couple weeks (especially last night) given that we just had WrestleMania a couple of months back, a couple PPV's after that (including one coming up), and the writing staff probably is a bit tired. And taking into account that RAW is going to be a 3 hour show permanently now, Vince is probably giving the writing staff some "active rest" because what's coming up, isn't easy.

But still, there's no excuse to them bringing back the Anonymous RAW GM angle for no reason whatsoever and out of the blue, just so they could write it off by revealing to us it was Hornswoggle.

How to make 3 hour Raws better:

1) More matches, less promos. 1 or 2 promos is fine and dandy, but when you have a 3 hour show and half of that is promos, then what's the point?

2) Showcase your tag and women's division more prominently now. You have the time to do so now without the need to rush it, so let them have their time and put on a show.

3) Have more specialty matches during the show. How long has it been since Raw had an Iron Man match, or a Last Man Standing Match? Do something to keep the fans entertained.

To be quite honest, if they start putting Iron Man Matches on Raw, or specialty matches, then whats the point of buying PPVs? Its hard to pull off those matches on Raw and then still have gimmicks worth seeing pushed at a PPV during a possibly weak card.

I don't get the complaints about CM Punk's character. There is only so long a guy can run around burying everybody before "OMG! DID HE REALLY JUST SAY THAT HOLY SHITTTTTTTTT!!!!!" reaction dies down. RAW wasn't great by any means, but the main events were built up and making me wonder who will win those matches and possibly buying the PPV to find out. It feels like WWE is building more toward RAW1000 than MITB, but it makes sense since 1000 episodes is pretty historic. I just hope it is a good show and not just 3 hours of cramming as many people onto the show from the past 20 years as possible.

Destination X was a great PPV though. Good for TNA, hope they can actually keep building off of it.

Tom Guycott

Also, I agree about that spinning backfist/knee spot. Prob'ly put that in just to see if anyone would notice/amuse themselves.

And this will happen. At first. Just like when RAW went 2 hours fulltime, or Smackdown first went 2 hours permanantly.

It'll start out with going all-out in star power (The Rock, Brock, all the hottest Smackdown talent... etc.,) Next, they WILL have more matches and put more guys on TV... more of the Gabriels and the Kidds and the Tatsus.

Eventually, however, they'll squeeze in more skits and promos, and in about 18 months, we'll be back to where we are now with the same "lack of depth" problem, and only a 4 hour RAW will be able to fix that... or the mythical WWE Network.
