Did I miss anything with the post-show, didn't watch it
John Cena got up off of the stretcher and walked away saying "I'm fine. Just got my eggs scrambled."
If your not joking #1 that is totally lame and kills what little momentum I have to tune into tomorrow, and I usually tune in regardless.

If this isn't enough momentum for Zack Ryder and the Ruff-Ryder finisher....I don't know what could help him anymore.
Natalya will sit on it hard.

Wait, John Cena actually said that? So they stopped the match for literally no reason at all?

Seriously, just put the title on Ryback if you don't want him losing. If you don't want him winning, have him lose.

Supposedly people at the event were tweeting or telling others that was done to please all the kids that were upset or crying for the rest of the show. The WWE wanted to show that Cena was not really hurt and he'd be ok for tomorrow's RAW.

I'd like to thank Adamle for making a great rasslin ppv thread that was a great Team Gorm production. I bet the Raw thread will be equally as great. Show some respect and everyone who posted in here give uber rep to him. Serious thread. serious business.

IT WAS AMAZING BEING THERE LIVE! The crowd was high energy but like stated earlier, it died off in the last hour. I was really hoping for a *GONG* when the shield were celebrating. A really disappointing end to Cena and Ryback match.

They're pro-longing the feud. Not having a clear winner was fine. I just don't like how they made the whole ending meaningless by having Cena be fine immediately afterward. Like the speech he gave after last year's Extreme Rules. They wanna make these huge "moments" but they end up not meaning shit because they don't have any lasting impact.

I couldn't hold it up for more than a few sec cuz people were getting upset. The seats are too small, no leg room, feels like your boxed in. when someone had to scoot past ya to get to the exits, you had to keep getting up and standing in someones way. its way too cramped.

I know they're prolonging the feud, but do they really need to? The whole point of big gimmick matches like is that they solve something. A Last Man Standing Match is there so we can know who the bigger man is at the end of the night. Not so that we can have the match called off because it's "too extreme" and then no one being announced the last man standing so that we can get the two continuing to feud anyway. What was the point of people paying down money to see John Cena vs. The Ryback in a Last Man Standing Match then?

Seems to me they don't have confidence in his ability to have a good title run, so they're going back and forth on whether they should give him the strap or not.

I just went on WWE.com. They advertise Extreme Rules as the night the rulebook gets thrown out the window...and yet we have our first ever instant replay in WWE history.
Not true...

Also, WTF @ Last Man Standing?
Ryback puts Cena through the prop lights, sending both men to the ground.
Instead of counting to 10 and doing their jobs, the refs call for trainers and medics. Note also that despite being a RAW match and Teddy Long being Senior Advisor to SmackDown! GM Booker T, he is present instead of, oh I don’t know, RAW Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero (:?:)
While Cena is being "tended to", Ryback STANDS UP and walks away with a couple of trainers, which the refs still refuse to acknowledge in any way, and do not count.
Instead Cena is put in a neckbrace and onto a stretcher before being loaded onto a gurney and wheeled out of the arena on it.
Just another way to keep RyBack from the belt and piss off everyone sick of seeing Cena with the belt. Probably worst Cena LMS match ever except for the infamous one where he used duct tape.

Also, LOL @ Charles Robinson (who reffed the match) being interviewed backstage, and he said [Michael Cole]and I quote[/MC] ...but to watch John Cena and Ryback, beat each other, literally to death...I’ve heard some pretty outlandish exaggerations of things in my time but this has got to be one of the most hilarious.

they didn't really do much last night that couldn't have been done on Raw or Smackdown. The ending of the last man standing match in the past has been done similarly to set up the ppv; but a draw in a pay show is just bad form.
This was really my first time checking out one of these lesser ppv's . I usually check the traditionally big ones like Survivor Series, Rumble and WM. So I'm not sure if this is typical for these filler month ppvs, but i can't see people repeatedly putting out 40-50 bucks for that quality of a show.

I agree about the draw part, especially for a main title match. Just be glad you never saw the LMS where Cena uses duct tape to win. Horrible.

Last year's Extreme Rules was well worth it. Probably better than WrestleMania if you ignore the "aura" and just judge it on quality.
This one was phoned in.

Kind of retarded that Ryback was the last man standing in the last man standing match, but it was declared no contest.
If they wanted to end it that way, they might as well have had them both leave on stretchers.
#1-norm-fan
05-21-2013, 02:15 AM
Well technically, Cena got off the stretcher and stood up after being taken to the back. Ryback may have been in the dressing room sitting down at that point.

They couldn't have had Ryback come out all cocky and confident on the ambulance to kick off RAW with the WWE Title and rub it all in the Cenation's faces? They couldn't have had the vicious new WWE Champion get greedy and want to destroy John Cena's entire career now that he has the championship?
I bet the WWE just didn't want to make customized plates for the guy.

Are they still going with the Booker-Teddy feud or whatever it is they were doing?

I think so. Booker T has taken a few weeks off, but the SmackDown announce team have been making a deal of it whenever Long makes a decision.

Just watched Kingston-Ambrose again. They could teach Bret Hart a thing or two about countering the crossface chickenwing. Dude was in it for over 8 minutes at Survivor Series 1994, yet Kingston countered in a matter of seconds.
Mr. Nerfect
05-21-2013, 09:10 PM
Ambrose used the Crossface Chickenwing as a submission finisher for a while at some point in his career, I believe. I like that he's brought it back. I wouldn't like to see him win every match with it, but occasionally getting a dude in it and choking the fucker out wouldn't be so bad.

Doubt that'll happen the way Kofi just got up with ease and countered it.

Things randomly change. Wade Barrett's Winds of Change was a transitional move, became a finisher, and is now back to being just a move again.

It wasn't a MOTY candidate or anything, XL, but it was well worked and made Kofi look good (he opted not to take a countout victory) but allowed Ambrose to get the clean pin and take the title.
