I hope they bring up Cena bringing back Daniel Bryan to the WWE for SummerSlam 2010 and then giving him the title shot at SummerSlam 2013. Bryan losing cleanly to Cena would actually be a cool way to segue way him into a darker role -- not that the company wants to do actually do that.
BigCrippyZ

This match should be solid.
Mr. Nerfect
07-15-2013, 11:31 PM

Also, for those wondering, Ryback defeated The Brooklyn Brawler on Superstars.

Vote Gertner for King of the Forum
Mr. Nerfect
07-15-2013, 11:34 PM
Chris Jericho's entrance bothers me for the same reason that Kane's does -- the musical timing of it isn't right. Jericho should be standing there in the dark and in his pose and then his pyro should go off and music kick in. Kane's lead-in to his entrance should play before his pyro goes off and he makes his entrance.

I still think that The Undertaker vs. Daniel Bryan could happen at WrestleMania XXX, just because The Undertaker would no doubt have his pick of the litter and Bryan is one of the few guys on the active roster that could have a legitimate classic with The Undertaker.

That whole segment was virtually just highlighting the fact that Daniel Bryan is possibly the most over guy in the entire WWE. That the company felt they could put guys like Randy Orton and RVD out there, name drop them and still have the "WWE Universe" select Daniel Bryan shows that they actually realise what they've got.
Between Cena vs. Bryan and Punk vs. Lesnar, I've decided that I am already going to order SummerSlam.

07-16-2013, 12:16 AM
For some reason I think Wyatt vs. Kane should be a Steel Cage Match. The idea can be that Bray will be in there with a monster without his minions to fight for him. But Wyatt can just laugh and tell Kane that he's the one that's trapped in there with a monster.
Mr. Nerfect
07-16-2013, 12:23 AM
Given that spots for the card are filling up, I do think that it will probably be Del Rio vs. RVD to capitalise on RVD's return momentum. Sheamus and Orton could be partners for Henry against The Shield. They could maybe squeeze one more match onto the PPV card. I'd rather see Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara facing The Real Americans, but I could see Ryback vs. Mysterio or something like that. Is there any word on whether or not Mysterio is cleared?

Great show again. When you are looking forward to multiple segments going into Raw just for a build to the next ppv (The Wyatts, Bryan, Ziggler, RVD, 2 MITB cases), things are real good. Too bad its mostly downhill when Football comes back.
I feel like a great Halloween costume idea involving two people would be to go as John Cena and Daniel Bryan from their 2003 Velocity match.

Is it too soon after Money in the Bank for the WWE to make Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow at SummerSlam a Ladder Match for the contract? I do think that their personal issues would be enough to carry the feud, but hanging the briefcase above the ring would get your casual fan far more pumped for it.

I'm also wondering if they should give Del Rio two opponents for SummerSlam. Maybe he interrupts a #1 Contender's Match between two babyfaces and, being a foolish heel, has a Triple Threat Match made on him. It wouldn't be as great as one-on-one matches against either man, but Del Rio vs. RVD vs. Christian would tell a nice story and allow for the WWE to hype that Del Rio doesn't need to be pinned or submit to lose the title, which could get your average fan excited for the prospect of the match.
Del Rio should drop the title to RVD

To pop the crowd, I think that would be a good move at the PPV. RVD wouldn't need to hold the title long. They could have Ziggler win it as early as Night of Champions. An RVD vs. Ziggler match could be pretty exciting.

I'd laugh if they went with Del Rio vs. Triple H or something like that.

See, this is what I mean by sending the fans home happy. I bet under NYC there are entire subway cars with people chanting "YES! YES! YES!" It feels extra crappy knowing that and remembering sitting on a quiet subway car last night with people just looking pissed not saying anything.

Hell, imagine if they just wanted to put forward the biggest blockbuster match they could for SummerSlam, and had RVD win the World Title on SmackDown or something, and have Triple H challenge RVD for the big gold belt at SummerSlam. Random match that doesn't seem to fit plans, but it would certainly add another reason to buy the PPV to the growing list.
Not sure what they would then do with Del Rio. Since they seem to want to make the Kickstart seem special, he and Christian could have an awesome match on that to warm up the crowd for the show.

I'd say Brad Maddox's run as RAW General Manager is off to a good start for the young man.

Daniel Bryan should also make a challenge for Alberto Del Rio and the World Heavyweight Championship. Cena vs. Bryan and Del Rio vs. Bryan in the same night, with Bryan winning both championships but then getting cashed in on by both Orton and Sandow. Bryan's World Title win could open the PPV, and his WWE Title win could close it.
I'm joking, but that could be kind of awesome in a weird sort of way.

Or he could be WWE champ for 18 seconds before Orton does a heel turn and boom.

Don't know if the fans would fully embrace heel Orton. He's still so fucking popular. Could totally see that style of cash-in at SummerSlam, though.

Pretty good RAW tonight. Didn't care too much for RVD/Jericho, 100% RVD's fault because I hate him with an irrational passion. Everything else was good, though.
EXCEPT. I really wish they would have built Daniel Bryan up in some way during the night. I mean, they kept going on about how CM Punk was screwed out of the briefcase... but they all seemed to just forget that it came only after D-Bry destoryed everybody and was screwed out of the case by Curtis Axel.

Also, when the Wyatt Family came to attack R-Truth I immediately thought that Wyatt was going to go on a "white power" rant. Bunch of redneck southern hillbillies lynching a black man on RAW.

They're really going with "The Real Americans" as a team name. Nice.
I prefer "Team The Real Americans" personally

WWE could really save me some time by consolidating CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler into a a triple threat feud with the Shield and The Wyatt Family

For some reason I think Wyatt vs. Kane should be a Steel Cage Match. The idea can be that Bray will be in there with a monster without his minions to fight for him. But Wyatt can just laugh and tell Kane that he's the one that's trapped in there with a monster.
This sounds like an awesome match if they build it up.
This whole Summerslam sounds better than Wrestlemania right now.

This was a great episode of RAW. It showed what 3 hours can actually do for the show.

I really want Mark Henry to recruit a pseudo Nation/old partners team to face the Shield at Summerslam. Mark Henry/D'Lo (if Aces & Eights didn't kill him/exist)/MVP vs. the Shield, where D'Lo rips off his chest protector to reveal riot gear...then promptly annihilated by Mizark.
