It's been a good RAW tonight, washes away my work day, had to work overtime to pick up the slack of others and getting a mad push too, gotta stay true and turn heel someday though. Don't want them to book me all the time

Yeah, but I was used to being disappointed by the WWE Title scene by then...

Wonder how many times Orton and Cena have actually wrestled each other. That would be a staggering stat.

Including tonight, they've been in the same match together 89 times on PPV/TV. (That includes battle royals and matches where they teamed together.)

Not including battle royals, they have been opponents 60 times. 20 of those have been one on one matches.

I feel like the timing with Ambrose coming out was off. Also the staredown went on like five minutes too long. Still a great way to close the show.

The pre and post-shows being from a glass cubicle in WWE HQ is pretty pathetic now. Are they really saving that much money by doing it this way?

the build for roman reigns has been handled really well so far. hopefully they can keep that momentum going without blowing their load too early.

Cool King
07-01-2014, 12:18 AM
It was a pretty good Raw tonight. More due to the returns and storylines than the actual matches though.

I'm really looking forward to Swagger/Rusev and to see how Swagger does as a face. More Swagger is fine by me.

Jericho is back and with me being biased, anything with Jericho is great.

Paige no longer the Divas Champion is pretty sweet too. A random double turn, but hopefully this actually gives Paige something to be, other than some 21 year old from England who gets her ass handed to her in every match and then pulls off a lucky win.

And it sucks that Barrett is out of action now for what could be the rest of the year, but we do get an Intercontinental Champion Battle Royal Match, which is always great to see.

They need to keep doing moments like that where Reigns stands out like that. Between him just being part of a build for the MITB match with 7 other guys and teaming up with Cena for a meaningless tag match tonight, his singles run was not making him stand out at all. That image of him standing there staring down Triple H to close the show though was perfect.

Really good RAW tonight. Except for the horrible Bella vs Funkadactyls match and the weird promo between AJ/Paige.

I swear, the first couple times I heard Paige I thought she was decent on the mic, but as time as gone on she seems to have gotten worse and awkward as hell on the mic.

ron the dial
07-01-2014, 01:10 AM
well, they took her from nxt where she got decent enough mic time, and brought her to the main roster where she basically had no mic time for 3 months. she was never the best, but she definitely used to be better. it also didn't help that they were pushing her as a face when she's clearly better at playing a tweener at the very least. let her continue to develop in that role before forcing her to switch gears. definitely should have kept the anti-diva thing from nxt going, but i see why they didn't considering aj's character at the time.

WWE.com has confirmed that Cesaro suffered an eye injury during his match with Kofi Kingston on Raw thanks to what WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann described as a poke from Kingston’s finger that rendered the eye red and swollen.

“We did some specialized testing and staining of the eye which showed he did have a scratch on the right side of the eye, which is called the sclera and not on the cornea, which is the clear part of the eye,” said Amann. “We’re going to keep his eye patched for the next 24-48 hours, use some artificial tears and re-evaluate him tomorrow prior to his match [against Dolph Ziggler on WWE Main Event].”

So I'm officially super stoked for Bray/Y2J feud. One of my 3 favorite performers ever against my current favorite. The potential here is so awesome. The things they can and will do on the mic excite me. Gonna bust at least 17 (thousand) nuts over the course of this feud.

Pretty great RAW tonight. Maybe the best in years. Whoever booked it was trained well by Russo. Hope they keep this up.

<font color=goldenrod>Heh, imagine if they actually had Ambrose stick to that threat the whole next year. Stops Rollins from cashing in every single time he makes a surprise run-in. June 2015 rolls around and Rollins is panicking as his contract expires soon and he needs to find a way to get rid of Ambrose.</font>

Imagine they hold MITB 2015 like a week or 2 before Rollins full year is up and Ambrose wins it. Rollins gets all sketchy about time running out the week after MITB, and cashes in at his last chance and wins the title, and then Ambrose immediately cashes his in to beat Rollins. Would be epic.

Really liked RAW tonight and the storylines they set up. Y2J vs Wyatt, AJ vs Paige, continuing Rollins vs Ambrose (this better end up being the feud of the year), Fandayla vs Zigglrae, tag team diversity. Good stuff. Quite good stuff.

20 one-on-one matches. 66 times they've been including one-on-one, tag, multi-man matches.
Probably less than Kofi Kingston/Dolph Ziggler
Right. 26 one-on-ones, 73 times they've been opponents.
