Man, I really wish the announcers put more effort in selling the free one-week preview of the WWE network.

Whoa! I am not required to provide my credit card information in order to get the one-week preview of the WWE network? That is so neat.

WWE is offering a free one week trial of the network!? I had no idea, they should mention it a time or two on air or something...

Rollins will make it into a title match, but before the bell rings, Ambrose runs out and attacks him, resulting in the non-title match ending via DQ.

lol. Can we get an official rule on what constitutes the contract being cashed in? I was pretty sure it was when it's handed over to an official.

Hate he carries the belts like that.

Supposedly its because both belts got welded together for some odd reason.

I'm pretty sure the precedent is that the bell has to ring. They did a similar angle with Ziggler.

So basically once the case gets handed in, it's up to the referee to decide if/when it's cashed in?

Pretty weak Raw after last week's amazing show. Lots of boggling losses and the biggest event to come out of the show was the Funkadactyls going extinct and Roman Reigns saying "Bitch."

I'll give this Raw two Shockmasters out of five.

Kinda. Last week the referee took about five minutes to ring the bell. But as well all know, Ambrose stopped that just as the bell was about to be rung.

James Steele

It isn't technically cashed in until the title match begins. What is so shocking about this? They've done this with Ziggler, Del Rio, and maybe even Edge.

If they counted it as cashed in without the match ever starting, that'd be bullshit and way too easy for Mr. MITB to get screwed out of his case. I remember both Edge and Punk begging the ref to hurry up and ring the bell so they could start the match and cash in.

So like I said, it's up to the referee. Why wouldn't he begin the match once the case is cashed in?

I give this episode of Raw a solid 1 "H" out of 3.

Also, Ambrose should probably just wait til the match begins next time to attack. Save himself a lot of trouble trying to stop it every week.

James Steele
07-08-2014, 12:16 AM
So like I said, it's up to the referee. Why wouldn't he begin the match once the case is cashed in?

They usually required both men to at least be standing and in the ring for the match to start. Have you not been watching wrestling for the past 9 years?

James Steele
07-08-2014, 12:17 AM
Of all the shit to overthink, overanalyze, and bitch about...it's that?

#1-norm-fan
07-08-2014, 12:19 AM
You mean like when Daniel Bryan cashed in on Big Show without Show ever getting up? Yeah, it's definitely an issue of "me not watching for the past 9 years" and not an issue of major rules changing to fit situations randomly.

James Steele
07-08-2014, 12:21 AM
I said generally. Common sense says you go by 90% of the cash-ins instead of the 1 that fits your argument.

SlickyTrickyDamon
07-08-2014, 12:21 AM
Daniel Bryan got cashed in without being standing along with Punk/Del Rio at Summerslam.

But I think they changed the rules for the Big Show because it would take too long for his fatass to get up after getting knocked down.

James Steele
07-08-2014, 12:25 AM
The Authority/Powers that be were basically screwing those guys over though, so it made sense. The Big Show deal is just the occasional incontinuity that pops up in WWE from time to time.

#1-norm-fan
07-08-2014, 12:25 AM
I said generally. Common sense says you go by 90% of the cash-ins instead of the 1 that fits your argument.

Oh, also Orton cashing in on Bryan.

Oh, and that other one STD mentioned.

Of course, there could be more too. But yeah, I think three is enough to say they should probably be more organized and have the rules set up.

BUT AS LONG AS YOU DON'T THINK ABOUT IT, IT ALL MAKES SENSE, RIGHT!?

#1-norm-fan
07-08-2014, 12:27 AM
So you're pointing out that there's been discontinuity in the whole MITB cash-in thing. Awesome. We agree.

James Steele
07-08-2014, 12:27 AM
I like that WWE has some different interviews for this Monday Night War. They have Luger, updated Hogan, updated Vince, and Undertaker.

James Steele
07-08-2014, 12:28 AM
It still has always been that the bell has to ring for the cash-in to count in recent WWE history. It'd be retarded for the briefcase to be "consumed" as soon as he hands it to the ref. This Ambrose/Rollins angle would have already been over.

SlickyTrickyDamon
07-08-2014, 12:29 AM

This was a pretty boring Raw. Ambrose/Orton was really good and there were several other solid matches as well, but there was next to no storyline advancement at all. Could have easily skipped a week and not have missed any sort of development.

James Steele
07-08-2014, 01:09 AM
The Alundra Blaze throwing the belt in the trash thing can't be undervalued. If it wasn't for that stunt, Vince might not have been so paranoid about Bret taking the WWF Title to WCW and doing some similar stunt with it and feeling forced to go through with the Montreal Screwjob.

SlickyTrickyDamon
