If you don't like the content of the segment, that's one thing.
Are you really upset at Raw ending with a segment as opposed to a random thrown together match with an outcome that means nothing though?
Also, Raw ending in a segment to build a story and not a match has happened a lot. For like... a couple decades now.
I wouldn't be nearly so upset if this wasn't the time building to a SummerSlam or any of the other "Big 4" PPVs, but they've wasted the other two on Brie vs. Steph. I would have no problem with it being done so much had they been using the time to promote Brock v. Cena. God forbid they use it to promote the main event of a major PPV.
As for tonight, at least they teased at it, but still, I feel like more could have been done...FFS, have Brock pick up Hogan as if he was about to F-5 him, THEN, instead of having Cena race down to the ring and stare him down, have Brock put Hogan down, end with a brawl, and once the show goes off the air let Hogan have his party.
Just for the record, I'd like to make it perfectly clear I have no problem with a legendary guy like Hogan being honored on his birthday. Hell, in today's world with all the new diseases and illnesses that have cropped up recently, 61 years is remarkable. I just think they could have had the main event of SSlam hype in that time and devote 15-20 minutes beforehand for Hogan's party. That way you have your main event being promoted the way it should, and also those who don't have the network would've been able to see all of the celebration in its entirety.

Living to 61 is not a remarkable feat.
(For a wrestler, sadly is actually is, but that's not what you stated)

I know this is saying the same thing again and again, but Paul Heyman is incredible. In the Summerslam Prelude to come up with a way to convey the magnitude of Brock Lesnar breaking the streak to people who may not be hardcore wrestling fans:
"Forty people have held the WWE Championship. One beast has conquered the streak. So here's the analogy for you: Imagine being able to come in front of the cameras and say 'Ladies and gentlemen, I have been elected president of the United States of America.' It's a wonderful accomplishment, but around 40 men have been able to say the same thing. Now imagine being able to come out and say 'I have been elected God.'
(...)
He didn't just run for President and win. He ran for God."

I dunno, I guess maybe having someone close to me (my mother...RIP) pass away within a week and a half of turning 50, on 12/31/03, kind of influenced that particular comment a bit, and it wasn't a completely logical thought. I probably also subconciously was also thinking of all the wrestlers who have all died at tragically young ages, although as RDD has ppointed out, I flat out said 61 was remarkable for anyone, not for a wrestler. It still wouldn't have made my statement correct by a long shot but maybe it at least would have made some kind of damned sense.
I sincerely regret and apologize for the error.

man would really like to see a new NWO in WWE. Imagine Ziggler being the leader of it and people like Fandango, Adam Rose, Heath Slater, Sandow, and Rybaxle coming together to fight the WWE for the dumb stuff they have had to do for the last couple of years. NWO for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What Dark said, Paige is now the ultimate heel for letting Eva Marie beat AJ with the old "Razor/DiBiase/123 Kid" routine.
