Started out 3-1 last night doing just that. Then teamed up with alvy and we had several losses because our healers were standing around with their dick in their hands.

After he left I went back to mercy and won 3 more games again. Pr obably made the tracers and reapers that were flanking salty, as I outmanuevered them long enough for my team to kill them every time.

Based on recent job postings by blizzard there is rumor of a possible story campaign, though it could be for another uprising style event.

I've been down for a campaign for a while, as I love the world building and lore of overwatch, and theres a lot of cool shit you could do in a story mode, with all the different characters and powers.

Yeah I took a nosedive in rank all the way down ro 1700. Dunno how it happened. But wow, the difference between silver and high gold is pretty big. Spent last night getting back up to around 2000 and I was just decimating with Tracer, Reaper, and Symmetra. Getting 35+ kills a game. They had no answer for those characters when played well.

Was on a squad with three healers on Horizon, and somehow didn't get healed very much. They were in a group together and I think they were just focused on healing eachother. Two other dudes I was with played fantastic, and we just barely took the second point.

We only had a minute for overtime so I hit the fuckers with Junkrat.

A riptire immediately after that helped capped the second point a few seconds later.

The three of us that weren't healers stuck together and got paired with three other players who were good, and communicated well, and we stuck together as a six stack.

With only hours left til the end of the season, I managed back to get into gold before it ended, and make up for my epic nosedive a few days ago.

Feels good man. This game is fucking amazing when things come together, and you have good chemistry with your team. Played Sombra at Gibralter and my team took advantage of every Reinhardt hack I made. Got to the point where Rein was abandoning his team and just trying to chase me down after the hack. The salt flowed freely, my friends.

My Sombra is going to be terrifying when the changes hit consoles.

Sombra, Reaper, and Symmetra are gonna be my go-tos this season. Always tried to fill in what the team needs, but this season I'm playing selfish and instalocking my best characters.
40-55 enemies hacked per match with Sombra on escort, constantly getting multiple golds with reaper on control, and consistently stopping the enemy team at point A of assault with symmetra. I'm not sleeping on my mains anymore to be a fill in. Goin for platinum.

She honestly doesn't play any different than she used to. The buffs, particularly the new effects on certain characters simply make her more viable now.. as beforehand the other offense characters were generally better picks for a lot of situations.

Some people are saying she's over powered, but that's just the usual overwatch talk that comes after a character buff. People typically don't give themselves time to adapt and just go straight to shouting "OP!".

She's still the weakest in terms of delivering straight DPS. The other Offense characters are all better in that regard. She still needs to rely on her teammates taking advantage of her hacks, unless you're on the high ground and can just fire downwards and wait to hack your next tatrget, you're probably gonna have to get out of there as soon as you hack.

I'd say the reduction of Sombra's bullet spread alone will make her an annoying bitch. With a good Rein or Orisa she can do damage (Sombra requires a big anchor tank that diverts attention).

Just training her up in deathmatch and quickplay yields better results than I've had with her in months.

Oh well yeah, if you're a reinhardt you're going to get hacked a lot. I always prioritize hacking tanks, as without their abilities they're bsically just big walking targets, but Rein in particular is an effective hack, as taking that sheild away can ruin the dynamic of the teams comp.

Yeah, if a group doesn't have very good teamwork, a good tracer can single handedly shred them, and and win the match for her team.

When I nosedived into mid silver, I pulled myself back up to gold mainly by picking tracer and going on a tear against all the bad teams at that level.

I don't think the ult itself needs to be adjusted. Yeah it does a lot of damage and can get multikills, but you can hear it coming a mile away, so if a team doesnt spread out, thats on them. However with all his recent buffs I think it would be fair to increase the time it takes to build to it, as its one of the fastest charging ults in the game.

I wanted to play something different like Tracer or Genjii. Even thought about going full Hanzo ( you never go full Hanzo ). But i gotta stick with my bread and butter, Reinhardt if i'm gonna get out. 66-51 as Reinhardt all time in competitive seasons.

If you really want to climb out, you might want to keep playing reaper, or like you said, learn Genji. He's always a viable pick.

Her buffs make her more viable, but she's still a niche character that depends on her team to take advantage of the opportunities she creates. That's why the talk of her being OP is nonsense. She's not single handedly carrying games the way Tracer and Reaper can.

Will I enjoy this game? It looks fun and Ive heard so many good things about it, but I'm horrible in shooters, and get lost because I always have to be a support unit and alot of games I've played don't reward that.

You will enjoy it. Plenty of heroes that don't require gun accuracy. I honestly barely play any offensive heroes. Ibdont find them fun. I enjoy support and defensive heroes. Tanks are fun too if you know what you are doing.

Went on a 4 game losing streak. Finally said fuck everyone and started instalocking Zarya, and I won 4 in a row.

She's fucking monstrous at lower levels if you're good with her and have at least a couple people to communicate with. Everyone just feeds my bubbles and I hover between 80-100 charge the whole match. No one can consistently deal with her.

I mean, she literally only has the shield bash as her one counter-move. You could say the knock back (I forget the name) attack is another counter, but that seems more defensive as it only give slight breathing room.

I think the shield bash should stay, but shouldnt be able to stop all moves like Rein's charge.

No it's where you go for SR. You can test your skill in privates, DM, TDM (my shit), 3v3 lock out. The only mode that's honestly a dumpster fire is quickplay. This is also how characters get evaluated well before they hit comp, otherwise nerfs would only happen after weeks in comp. You can get the vibe of a character in most modes and comp players had every chance to learn Bridgette's weaknesses before she got in comp.

And she's likely getting nerfed for the same reason as all the other kneejerk nerfs; braindead dps players are getting blown up.

Seriously, the OW community is the worst online community I've ever played in. These people seem to look for things to be offended by. The only thing I dislike about Torb is his instantly auto-locking, 100% accuracy turret.

I wish the turret would either take a sec to spot you and lock on or it would miss a shot every now and then or you could crouch/sneak up behind it and it wouldn't react to you until you attacked it or made noise with movement. Something, anything that didn't make it frustrating to take on.

I'm usually D.Va so I can typically dispatch it pretty well but when I'm someone like Sombra or anyone else who isn't a tank, it sucks. I'm sure that's the point but at least give me a chance against it. Maybe it would work a dream if teams were actually co-ordinated against it but that's a rarity and a half in my experiences and I've been playing since the beta.

Torb is awesome besides that, though, in my opinion.

I'd be totally cool with Torbs turret doing the same. It gives you a chance to either try and take it out or back off the point/payload.

I hopped on to try her and Hammond out and Hammond seems pretty fun. Didn't go outside the training area but I like how he feels. He seems like a faster D.Va but with Spider-mans swing and Marios ground pound. All good.

Symmetras new set-up is cool but I have to bind "interact" to something to enter her portal and I'm using every button already. So, what am I supposed to do? What's everyone elses layouts?

I've probably ranted about this before but Mystery Heroes needs a Hero or Role cap of some type. Probably Role cap.

I'm just out of a match in which the enemy (on defence) had a Bastion, a Torb, Three Roadhogs and a D.Va. My team were getting healers left and right with the occasional Pharah or Soldier.
We managed to take out Bastion who then became a Torb. So it's now two Torbs, three Hogs and a D.Va. Practically Impenetrable.
In the last minute, we took out the Torb who then became a FOURTH ROADHOG!

I know the Arcade is for fun but, come on, we need some kind of balance.

I'm not upset, I just feel it's a little ridiculous that Mystery Heroes can play out like this.

Most of the time, the mode boils down to who can get 3+ tanks first.

I don't like Mystery Heroes unless forced to play but some kind of minimum role check should be added to make sure you don't end up with a lame comp. The Hero selection screen can read unbalanced comps so it's odd to me this isn't factored into Mystery selection.

Ashe is a good all around Hero. Many of the DLC Heroes were very specific or gimmicky and Ashe comes off as a dropped launch character. Very straight forward.

I guess because of the nature of mystery heroes I don't care if I lose, or even get rolled. I just look at it as practice and have fun with whoever they give me.

Agreed on the headshots for Ashe. I noticed myself getting a lot more headshots with her. Pharah also seemed a lot easier to hit. Maybe her default sensitivity is better. I dunno.

Probably a higher degree of bullet magnetism is at play. I get a similar feel with Hanzo and Mei's ice shot. Probably a blanket buff to any low rate of fire precision attack, hell if I can hold headshots with Sombra or Soldier.

In fact there's a sort of civil war going on in the community regarding characters that can neutralize the more traditional 'shooter' characters, abilities that can stun, boop, or obstruct movement is pissing off the DPS babies. While the other side feels characters that subvert FPS conventions is part of OW's mechanical premise (of which I agree).

Seriously, though. Soldier isn't suddenly gay. He was probably designed with this detail pretty early.

They said way back that the game had multiple LGBT characters, they even made a point to emphasis "multiple". They then said they weren't going to tell us who was or wasn't part of the LGBT community immediately because they wanted us to get familiar with the characters first, without having their sexuality or gender cloud how we saw them.
That was likely a good move because I highly doubt the community would have made Dad:76 a thing had we been told immediately he was gay, for example.

Lucio being gay works because his backstory is a message of inclusivity and individual acceptance, expressed thru his activism concerning human-omnic relations. Him being gay would add to his motivations. People aren't saying it because he 'acts gay' or something, It's fitting thematically speaking.

Soldier, of all characters, being gay is subversive and clickbait. Even in the way of imitating life, somebody like Zarya is an extremely safe bet to be gay. It would even be socially significant given the LGBT issues in Russia. This is characterization a writer only concerned with story telling would do. But Blizzard's mythology authors aren't concerned with that, they do these things for the headlines. That's 90% how these developments are written; for the headline.

Tracer the poster girl on the box? Make her gay. Soldier, one of the most stereotypically male characters and crossover pick for new OW players? Make him gay. Zarya? Too 'obvious'. Lucio? Too 'obvious'.

It's not bad to use some semblance of archetypes to build characters, since fiction always has a sense of 'hyper reality' to it. Progressive writers mistake this for toxic stereotypes, even though that reflects life way better than their attempts to be subversive to make a point.

That is my issue with this and general Progressive writing, it's disengenuous. And most of the criticisms are from this enthusiast perspective, too, not some mass bigotry. The writing is shit. Characterizations are shit.
