Dude's been through some shit in his career, I imagine, so he just gut-checked it, I think. I don't know that it's super bad, but it could very conceivably require him to be out for a while. Still no word on exactly what it was, but he was definitely protecting it and cradling it afterwards in a way that would make it seem serious.

I'm a huge fan of Daniel Bryan. He's come a long way since I watched him win a cage match with like a twenty-five rotation airplane spin in front of like forty people at an RoH show, which is probably one of my least favorite finishes I've ever seen. WM30 was an incredible night and moment, probably one of the top ever, even if it hadn't been the plan for very long.

All of that said, I hope he retires and enjoys his life wearing flip flops, raising chickens, and fucking a Bella, because if he comes back, it's probable he'll never get another major push and who knows how his health will be.

Was hoping that when the Elimination Chamber made its return, it would have been a "big deal" emerging from storylines and announced by Triple H or something.

Not just announced by Michael Cole going "Hey, we're going to have an Elimination Chamber this month just because!"

That's what I loved about the first few Chamber matches... kind of happened "organically" with a bunch of contenders emerging and then the GM being all "Alright, only one way to settle this, the Elimination Chamber is back!"

They've probably lost the touch for that with all the scheduled gimmick PPVs, which is a shame. It's really devalued a lot of the stipulations, because they're 'supposed' to happen as opposed to being an added story layer.

Extreme Rules is just a lot of random guys fighting probably for not much reason. There's no real edge or hatred to really make the stips organic and matter, which is extra problematic since that's really all they have to make them work in the PG era.

Hell in a Cell was supposed to be the ultimate feud-ender. Now it's just a thing that happens in October.

I really hope one day they go back to just having generic PPVs and stips when they make sense.
