Yes, the quality has picked up - the show feels more new/fresh than it did half a year ago. Roman is a good wrestler and has had some really great matches - but since he doesn't really have a character/is bad on the mic - most fans boo him since he was "the chosen one"
I'm glad Rollins is back, I've missed him. Charlotte is also a good heel (in my opinion).

In homage to the Wrestling Sim Topic/EWR...
Did you ever play those original data EWR games where you decided that Shelton Benjamin was the future of the business?
So you'd have Benjamin (Reigns), you'd give him a turn and a new gimmick to get a bit of a overness boost. You'd book him to win loads and loads and loads of matches and cut loads and loads and loads of promos for a year, he'd win all his feuds, he'd win the Royal Rumble and he'd go onto Wrestlemania and win the title from Kurt Angle.
His overness is 81, he started at 79. Sophie tells you he's not suitable to be WWE champion. There's just something in his stats that says that 81 over is his maximum level.
Now, whilst you've been booking Shelton as an unbeatable fighting god, you obviously signed a couple of indie darlings, Chris Daniels (Zayn) and AJ Styles (Owens) and booked them in tons of speed based gimmick matches and they're over as fuck, both in the 90's despite feuding over the IC title at best and jobbing to all your main eventers.
Even more weird is, because of some combination of gimmick and stats, Tajiri (Rollins) and Rhyno (Ambrose) are both 98 over despite winning 4 matches between them all year. Benjamin destroys them both, Shelton drops to 80 and Tajiri and Rhyno rise to 100, it makes no sense.
You quit the game because it obviously sucks and obviously you know better. Except Vince can't quit the game.

My opinion of Reigns is that he's as good as the guy he's working with. Put him with AJ Styles or Seth Rollins and you've got yourself a fantastic match. Put him with Big Show or 2016 Triple H, and... well... we've all seen the outcome. :nono:

Not sure how anyone can say this was a great PPV. Nothing really happened or progressed storylines. The first few matches were dull so who cares. The asylum match was ok, it defintely dragged but the end was great. The fatal 4way was pretty good, I get why Miz retained but I think they need to hand that title to Cesearo or KO and let them run with it for a few months to elevate them to the main event scene. The womens match was good but really stupid ending, I would love to see the fued end in a cage with Nattie winning; I think she deserves a title run. The main event was pretty good. RR defintely needs an opponent like AJ who can make him look like a million bucks, the only shity thing was e super cena finish. With AJ throwing all those chair shots and finishers at him why would he go for that flying forearm only to lose via spear? At the very least RR should have rolled out of the ring, have aj fight to get him back in the ring, thus allowing RR time to recover. This finish was very Cena.
Overall itwas a very average PPV. Average set, average matches, average number of decent matches, 6/10 tops.

Having watched this after a six/seven week break from following WWE, I wasn't at all involved with the storylines or anything. From a match perspective I found it a pretty entertaining show. Not every show needs to progress into the next, sometimes it's good to just have good matches and not worry about "omg how will that lead into the next show?!".
I dunno. I just enjoyed it. I can't think of anyone on here who has been more critical of WWE over the last year than myself, but this was a good show in my opinion.

PPVs seem to be enjoyable as a whole with the TV itself becoming increasingly irrelevant, Raw included.

Basically it might just be worth the $10/month just to watch a good 3 hours of wrestling every couple of Sundays. Toss in NXT still being an enjoyable hour and whatever stuff you want to watch on the archives and it's pretty great.

Spot on. He seems to look better against smaller guys. Hes a big guy without a powerhouse moveset so I see why. Working with Rollins should be good for him both in the ring and on the mic as he should have better chemistry with Seth.

Yeah I thought it was a great show. Every match was solid, 4 way was probably the best but didn't see a match that didn't belong at a PPV. Thought the show was booked great all the way up to the spear finish but that just WWE. Think the Asylum match was perfect for Extreme Rules and understand why it got that amount of time. Just wish Lesner/Ambrose would have been more like that match. From a wrestling stand point it was a great show.

I heard a segment got cut thats why the cage match went so long.....probably should have given more time to the tag match though.

I believe it was the Usos/Gallows-Anderson match that people thought was cut short.

Not sure where the nothing happened thing is coming from. I mean, I guess they could have had the IC title change hands but as long as Zayn didn't win I was fine with it. Vaudevillians shouldn't even be in that spot so them winning was definitely out of question.
I'm a fan of Zayn just think his first title should come later on.

Well when I was really down on the product I still didn't have a whole lot of desire to spend money on it. And if the PPVs go to shit again I'll be back in that boat.

Only thing that would have popped me bigger at the end would have been a curb stomp.
Surprised about the lack of love for this show from Meltzer though, too harsh on this one, I thought it was top notch.

Meltzer seems like he has absurdly high standards that are almost impossible to meet at this point because he's grown so jaded of WWE as a whole.

Ambrose wins MITB. The Shield in the title picture. Culminates at Mania.
Holy shit at Michael Cole's titantron and music. Those have to be recent; I don't remember them being that awful.
He used to use Kerwin White's music, which fit him pretty well.

Early to mid 2000s WWF/WWE had tons of awesome themes. Can't believe they still use Trump's WWE c. 2007 theme as the MitB PPV theme... (singsongy) LAAAAAAAZYYY! :nono:

Skipped through most of the ppv, it just didn't hold my interest. Only watched Ambrose vs Jericho (which was quite terrible outside the final 5 minutes) and the end of the main event, which was just booked horribly. I really hope they aren't turning Reigns into the next Super-Cena.

They spent the last two years doing that.
