Why doesn't JR look at the camera??

Probably because he is looking at the camera.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:33 PM
Just wanna say I've been a Dustin Rhodes fan since the mid 90's and always thought he was an incredible worker so I'm feeling nostalgic watching him have the biggest match of his career in 2019.

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 10:36 PM
My body is ready for this.

Cuzziebro
05-25-2019, 10:36 PM
Cody is the new King of Kings

slik
05-25-2019, 10:36 PM
Probably because he is looking at the camera.

???

He is always looking down at the floor it seems

Hope he is ok!

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:37 PM
Was that some kind of Triple H reference?

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:37 PM
???

He is always looking down at the floor it seems

Hope he is ok!

Droford
05-25-2019, 10:37 PM
too much triple h references

Ben Rodrigues
05-25-2019, 10:37 PM
The two entry ways are confusing the camera men.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:38 PM
Oh shit I know what is about to happen. Some Drago shit!

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 10:38 PM
Just tuning in now. How has the show been?

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 10:38 PM
Well...this isn't a very subtle dig. Could do without it.

slik
05-25-2019, 10:38 PM
LOL

Droford
05-25-2019, 10:38 PM
I dont feel that was necessary but whatever

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:39 PM
Oh man that was fun. Good one.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:39 PM
Fucking Superstar moment for Cody.

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 10:40 PM
That was the kind of bush league shit they needed to avoid at all costs

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 10:40 PM
I like that they aren't showing the Cody vs. Dustin videos they have shown in other contexts, which rewards people for paying attention. But this one to Shoes is really boring.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:41 PM
Looks like goddamn Freddy Krueger!

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:41 PM
Damn these guys are in excellent condition Mene Gene!

Droford
05-25-2019, 10:41 PM
throne breaker

Fignuts
05-25-2019, 10:42 PM
Isn't this supposed to be different than WWE?

So far I've seen:
Bayley
Team Hell No's hug it out gimmick
The War Raiders, err Viking Raiders
Druids
Kairi Sane and Asuka
2 people having a shush off like a woo off
And they legit doing the point at Wredtlemania sign gimmick

Check out Dhalsim over here.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 10:42 PM
I don't mind the dig at Triple H. His whole thing is that he married into the McMahons, and Cody's thing is that there is more than one throne.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:43 PM
No way Earl can drop down fast enough for the near falls that are going to take place.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 10:43 PM
Brandi is fucking gorgeous.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 10:43 PM
Earl Hebner was a shit referee like 15 years ago.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 10:44 PM
Good look for Cody.

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 10:44 PM
I forgot how many tats Dustin has since I'm used to seeing him in a full body suit.

Droford
05-25-2019, 10:45 PM
i feel old remembering the natural dustin rhodes from 30 years ago

Droford
05-25-2019, 10:46 PM
I hope they dont PCO dustin

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 10:50 PM
Earl Hebner still being a thing in 2019 absolutely baffles me.

xrodmuc316
05-25-2019, 10:50 PM
That was the kind of bush league shit they needed to avoid at all costs

That was some Impact Wrestling right there

Cuzziebro
05-25-2019, 10:50 PM
I’m concerned Earl will ruin this somehow.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:50 PM
Dustin is so fucking good.

RP
05-25-2019, 10:55 PM
I wasnt worried about the matches. I was worried about the production of the show. The camera work. I looks fantastic.

Triple A
05-25-2019, 10:55 PM
Don't like Alex Marvez saying "wrassling"...

slik
05-25-2019, 10:56 PM
Really solid storytelling in this match

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:56 PM
My god that's a lot of blood.

RP
05-25-2019, 10:56 PM
I didnt need the close up of Dustin cutting himself even more.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 10:58 PM
So fucking much blood omg

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:00 PM

Evil Vito

Droford
05-25-2019, 11:00 PM

Blonde Moment
05-25-2019, 11:02 PM
They should put this on TNT next week

RP
05-25-2019, 11:02 PM
Alexa Bliss should run out naked and give Dustin a band-aid.

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 11:07 PM
Wonder where that match ended on the Muta Scale.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:07 PM
That was so good. I bet Meltz gives it 5.

Droford
05-25-2019, 11:10 PM

Wow what an incredible moment.

Simple Fan
05-25-2019, 11:11 PM
Damn did not expect that match to be so good. Had so much emotion to it.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:12 PM
I don't think that could have gone any better. That was the moment this company will be built on.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:13 PM
Going back and watching it from the start.

* Justin Roberts looking dapper and showing up for the occasion.

* Really don't like the Battle Royal is for a title shot.

* Nakazawa uses baby oil? This is a match with World Title implications.

* Love that MJF has got "heat." He's fucking great.

* A lot of these diamonds look like geeks.

* Shawn Spears looked good for a minute there, then got poked in the eyes. Is he wearing contacts?

* Jesus Christ, did Glacier just "freeze" someone? And is Janela smoking a cigarette?

* Wtf is a Marko Stunt?

* Tommy Dreamer looks like shit. And I don't know if trash can lids are what people remember from ECW.

* Hangman Page is the joke.

* Awful exchange between Janela and Page.

* Luchasaurus is in shape, but what a fucking awful gimmick.

* This would be fine if it didn't have tacked-on stakes. This is not making me want to spend any money on the promotion. As I type that they are doing an advertisement to suggest that if I enjoy this action I should buy the PPV.

* I'm enjoying Jack Perry in this match.

* Joey Janela is shit.

* Janela ate shit on that Chokeslam.

* Wtf is this Orange Cassidy shit?

* Jimmy Havoc looks like the lead singer from the Eurythmics.

* Jesus Christ, Havoc is shit too.

* Lol, they actually went with Hangman Page for an AEW World Title contender. He couldn't even hold fan attention against Luchasaurus. He's good, but nowhere near ready to be the guy they build around.

* Lots of WWE-style bullshit not sticking to their own rules, a fake-out finish, some cliched stuff and some bad indy comedy. I did like MJF and Jack Perry. Already forgotten a lot of the shit that happened, but some good eliminations informed by some really weird and abstract philosophical decisions.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:13 PM
Like all of the history in that moment, recalling the moment where Dusty asked Dustin to be his partner... what a moment man, seriously left me misty eyed.

Droford
05-25-2019, 11:14 PM
uh oh

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:15 PM
Hahaha! Fuck you Vince!

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:17 PM
Pretty sure Jericho is going to win and go against Page, which my joke in the AEW thread. Sounds like it would be an IC Title match in WWE.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:17 PM
This is why WWE scripts promo's lol.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:18 PM
Kylie Rae really coming off as a Bayley knock-off in this backstage segment. Oh god, this segment is awful.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:18 PM
I do like that they've eliminated microphones from this.

Triple A
05-25-2019, 11:19 PM
Cody vs. Dustin was amazing

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:19 PM
Why the fuck are there even librarians? And why did they think Peter Avalon and Leva Bates saying "Ssh" would sell a PPV? God fucking dammit, this is some WWE shit.

Droford
05-25-2019, 11:20 PM
lol i guess

RP
05-25-2019, 11:20 PM
Gonna go out on a limb and say Brett Hart got at least 500,000 to make an appearance.

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 11:21 PM
Glad Noid is on ignore for what is inevitably going to be him giving up on AEW by the end of the night.

Mr. Nerfect

Glad Noid is on ignore for what is inevitably going to be him giving up on AEW by the end of the night.

How dare I have standards, you fucking turd-slinger.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:23 PM
Bret is someone they should really try and get to do some consulting.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:23 PM
So glad they are pushing MJF like this.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:24 PM
I like that the commentators have introduced themselves and run down the card and the match order. I also like the match order.

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 11:24 PM
Seems like this segment is basically "introduce a bunch of characters to people who missed the preshow"

RP
05-25-2019, 11:25 PM
Who is Mr. Nerfect?

Nevermind.

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 11:25 PM

This has totally exceeded my expectations. I've been a WWE fan since I was about 6 years old in 1995... but, I've got a new fave now!

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:31 PM
I've personally slapped hands with The Lucha Bro's. So, you know...

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:32 PM
LOL I love The Bucks, this is gonna be special.

RP
05-25-2019, 11:32 PM
What time does AEW come on this week guys?

Corporate CockSnogger
05-25-2019, 11:33 PM
So this basically just seems like WWE but with different people.

Cody vs Goldust was great though.

Im a fan of Pentagon and Fenix. Never seen the young bucks before so should be interesting.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:34 PM
Liking the six-man so far. Daniels is so fucking good.

Corporate CockSnogger
05-25-2019, 11:35 PM
There's been a few Lucha Underground guys which is good since it's the only wrassling I've watched in about 7 years. These guys should've just bought LU and ran with it

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:35 PM
Justin Roberts with the best intro ever just now.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:36 PM
LOL JR just sounded like Cartman "Let's git it own!"

Triple A

slik
05-25-2019, 11:38 PM
Cody vs Dustin probably one of my favorite matches of 2019

MJF is already the best heel in AEW, it didn't even take a whole show

Triple A
05-25-2019, 11:38 PM
Justin Roberts really good... wasn't really watching wrestling when he was in WWE, why did they replace him with their current shitty announcers

Triple A
05-25-2019, 11:39 PM
Glad guys like MJF can be "showcased" and be themselves in AEW... Would have probably had all personality zapped from him and become an EC3-like guy in WWE

Triple A
05-25-2019, 11:41 PM
Forgot Darby Allin is also in AEW... so many good guys on the roster

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:43 PM
This is the best JR has been in years.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:46 PM
Really good six-man tag. Lots of fun. Kind of surprised by the finish.

KIRA
05-25-2019, 11:46 PM
Oh my God I'm having fun watching wrestling I almost forgot what this was like(excluding nxt)

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:46 PM
JR's commentary is excellent.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:48 PM
Allie looks fine, but I wish they'd not do the WWE/TNA thing of giving women one name.

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:50 PM
The Young Bucks are incredible.

Mr. Nerfect
05-25-2019, 11:50 PM
Kylie Rae was fine at the conference, but god damn is this gimmick annoying. It's Bayley.

Evil Vito
05-25-2019, 11:53 PM

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:56 PM

Jordan
05-25-2019, 11:58 PM
OH man I love this shit.

Jordan
05-26-2019, 12:01 AM

Mr. Nerfect
05-26-2019, 12:06 AM
AEW: We can't put Hangman Page vs. PAC on a show, because we can't have PAC lose and wins and losses matter.

Also AEW: The main event of our next PPV is going to feature the loser of the opening match.

Evil Vito
05-26-2019, 12:11 AM
Chris Jericho headlining major PPV events on different continents across one month in 2019 is brilliant.

Mr. Nerfect

Didn't consider the possibility that Jericho could be AEW World Champion and IWGP Heavyweight Champion at the same time. Not sure New Japan would go for that, but it would be a "story."

I'm also new to it. Casino Battle Royale was goofy and shit, like a Battle Royal usually is. MJF was the stand out. Opening six-man tag of the real show was really good. Daniels is a great man. Women's multi-person is pretty poor so far.

Two natural programs... Jericho has always been fascinated with Adam Page, probably for the obvious reason that Page resembles a young Jericho. That match for the AEW Championship makes a lot of sense to me while distracting Omega with Mox. But first we get to see Omega in an exhibition of sorts vs CIMA and a tag match with The Rhodes Brothers vs The Young Bucks. Sounds great so far. Some of the undercard talent is under developed but that's okay, not everyone needs to be a star. The amount of amazing work in all of the matches was really high. I would be okay if it was still on right now because I just want to keep watching it.

No, it cant. WWE goes from making $130 million to $450 million without doing anything different. They will be making so much more then they ever have before.

If WWE decides to increase their spending by an extra $100 million a year, they STILL will make more profit then they ever had before by MANY MANY millions.

AEW can put on the best wrestling shows we have ever seen, that still doesn't mean WWE won't be swimming in more money then ever.

No matter how shitty a company is, if they are making a profit of $200+ million a year, they aren't going anywhere.

WWE is losing attendance and sales in merchandise as well as weekly tv viewers. They're not unstoppable nor are they immune to attrition. Clearly. AEW just produced an excellent ppv, got a prime time deal on an excellent network, and is creating buzz for themselves. Of course they're not going to overthrow WWE. Just finished watching the 1st half of the show I missed earlier.

Battle Royale was very entertaining. Yikes at Janela getting a lit cigarette stapled to his head. Wonder who was meant to be the original final surprise and winner had the Page-PAC match not been canned.

Kip vs Sammy match was pretty good overall.

 at the jab thrown at Vince and WWE's habit to inflate their crowd numbers.

SCU vs. Strong Hearts was really great.

Based on the little I've seen of her, Kylie Rae does a better Bayley than Bayley herself. Awesome Kong as the surprise addition was great. Women's 4-way match was good.

Best Friends vs. Angelico/Evans was great. Had to look up who were the guys who did the post-match beating since I don't remember if I ever saw them before.

Overall, its been a pretty entertaining show soo far. Alex Marvez's commentary has been the worst thing about it although not sure if its due to a lack of experience calling wrestling, he's way too nervous, or both.

Though I will say that Hangman throwing MJF out to win was a crazy predictable finish as soon as Hangman came out. Didn’t help that the awkward announcer reminded us MJF was still in the match when we were clearly supposed to forget about him. And the direction was really bad. There were like 3 big spots where the camera inexplicably cut away RIGHT at the moment of impact. It was weird.

From the sounds of it, the rest of the show was stellar. Hopefully the technical kinks get worked out I’ll check out at least the Rhodes match and the main event tomorrow. Not a fan of Hangman Page as a main event guy though. They need to put in some serious work in making him a star in the handful of shows between now and the TNT debut or just give the title to Jericho and start his journey with a strong showing in defeat.

AEW put on a great show, WWE produces at least 6 great PPVs a year.
AEW got a no rights paid deal on a cable channel.
WWE got a $1 billion paid rights deal on a network.

This is not trying to bash AEW whatsoever, but WWE doesn't just go away because another wrestling company has a great show. The whole narrative is foolish.

WWE attendance was down by like $4 million the 1st quarter compared to the first quarter in 2018. They also ran 9 less shows, and has zero international shows in the first quarter of 2019.

For perspective, their new tv deal will add an additional $75 million to their quarterly income.

Even if WWE attendance went down an additional 75%, from $26 million to $6.5 million, they STILL will make $55.5 million more per quarter once the new TV contracts kick in.

Point is they are going to be making so much money that AEW having good shows every few months is almost inconsequential to WWE.

It is great for AEW and us wrestling fans, but that is not the debate point.

WWE PPVs are bland as fuck. Also, those TV deals are not guaranteed to last forever. I’m not sure I would pay WWE rights fees if I could get AEW for production costs (which is a lot of money, mind you). What leverage is WWE going to have next negotiating cycle? That has always been the threat of AEW. If they’re putting out a better quality product for less money, maybe possibly with more people watching it when it does start on TV (seriously, why wouldn’t every wrestling fan at least check this out?), there’s no reason to value WWE programming that highly.

It would still take quite a bit of time for WWE to be in trouble directly because of AEW's success. It's not gonna happen overnight. And one would think that if signs popped up that they were starting to get in trouble they wouldn't just sit there and keep churning out the same product.

Just fnished watching everything else prior to Jericho-Omega.

No wonder WWE is suddenly interested in Gatoh Move, AEW had 2 people from there for their 6-women tag match. Aja Kong busted out a really brutal looking Saito suplex to Riho. at the bell keeper botch. Whole match was amazing and easily match of the night soo far.

 at the Triple H jabs during Cody's entrance and makes sense as payback for H's AEW diss at WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony. Holy shit at Dustin Rhodes' crimson mask. Not sure what looked more of a crazy mess, Dustin being drenched in blood or Cody being drenched in his bro's blood. Cody vs Dustin was really great overall and arguably Cody's best ever singles match.

AEW getting Bret Hart for their championship belt reveal was cool. Also way better job than Foley with the 24/7 belt since Bret didn't botch hyping up the belt nor its reveal. MJF was amazing in this segment.

Lucha Bros vs Young Bucks was amazing. Tonight was a fantastic showcase for tag wrestling since that is one thing the Bucks said they want to be a strong point for AEW and help make them feel different than WWE.

Between all of that and the main event plus Ambrose/Moxley surprise, Double or Nothing is a very strong contender for show of the year. JR was pretty good and commentary overall was night and day compared to WWE with the lack of constant bickering and actually sounding genuine for enthusiasm.

Probably need at least 2 years of building and momentum to even start to become any sort of legit threat to WWE.

Took NXT roughly the same amount of time to build up into the powerhouse its been for WWE. Its aso why NXT UK feels flat by comparisons since they rushed into their first big Takeover show and don't really take advantage of the British style of wrestling.

* Chuck Taylor does everything in autopilot.

* I appreciate the effort from Evans. You can tell he's the most special guy in there. Beretta has got something too.

* Lol, wtf are with these Ascension looking wankers showing up?

* This looks like gay group sex porn gone terribly wrong.

* There's literally a dude on the left waving his arms around and putting them on the other guys. JR is asking questions and the crowd is asking questions, but no one gave any answers. That was fucking atrocious.

* I'm glad they got Aja Kong, but she's obviously not as nimble as she used to be. Still has presence like a champ.

* Hikaru Shida comes off as a star.

* Riho is impressive.

* Sakazaki plays into her gimmick well. She actually seems like she's supposed to be a bit wormy.

* Really awkward stuff with the girls just standing around in the corner waiting for stuff to happen.

* Like Ryo more and more as the match goes on.

* Bit ridiculous there is a "This is wrestling" chant during this match.

* The hardcore spots in this match make no sense. Why can't the referee hear that?

* Love Aubrey Edwards sticking to her count and holding that two to get things back on track. Good stuff. One of my favorite reffing moments in a long time.

Mr. Nerfect
05-26-2019, 07:35 AM
So far, SCU vs. Strong Hearts is probably the best match in terms of technical stuff, but the joshi stuff was refreshingly different, if not the best possible outing you could expect from the women. Now onto Cody vs. Dustin:

* Lol, Cody destroying the WWE symbols and what they represent is awesome. Fuck you all.

* Like Cody's color scheme. It's bright. Makes him look interesting.

* Very interesting to see Dustin playing babyface. Makes sense, truthfully.

* Love the crimson mask completing Dustin's look.

* Okay, Alex Marvez is horrible. Have him host an AEW podcast or do some sort of panel/hype work.

* Jesus Christ! That blood gushing!

* I hate the chants, but the crowd giving this a standing O is cool.

* Lol, genuine reactions from crowds. Take note, Kevin Dunn.

* What an emotional moment between Cody and Dustin. Great stuff. Really got people too. Got me. I think Cody & Dustin vs. The Young Bucks has to be the main event of that Fight for the Fallen show.

* Young Bucks coming out like stars.

* Great introduction for this match. Love the touch of Rick Knox saying something.

* God, The Young Bucks calling out that shit during the match. I forgot about that shit.

* Not sure I buy the ring rust story they're telling, but like matches where the Bucks sell an injury, I appreciate the effort.

* Great to hear a crowd that gets caught up in the moments, as opposed to waiting for them to wake up.

* JR really hitting the button of tag team wrestling being significant in AEW.

* Excalibur really thriving in these main events. He reminds me of Mauro Ranallo.

* Fuck me, can Rey Fenix fucking fly.

* Fun match. Finish came out of nowhere though, because everything and anything gets kicked out, then you just get the end. They built emotion during that match though.

* I kind of think they shouldn't show recaps of those sorts of matches. The highlights are the story, so it kind of reduces the emotional impact to see the reel.

It was the best thing on the show up until that point. It's not the same as the shit TNA or WCW used to do. It was a symbol to set themselves apart and move them into main event territory.

Price scared me away overall. So, I ended up not buying.

Buzzed through the results on the main page and the last couple pages of posts here, sounds like I missed a hell of a show.

Droford's post above has an interesting point. Once they get the final numbers in from all the streaming and PPV buys, will the next show be the same price? Or will they change up the pricing again?

FFtF is the amphitheater show it'll have a different feel to it but they already started building towards it with the Cody/Dustin angle. Its basically 7 weeks away which is 7 weeks from All Out. If they do a PPV every 7-8 weeks thats not bad, but it'll be hard to sell Fight for the Fallen in 7 weeks with All Out and (I assume) the Jericho/Page title match and Moxley/Omega probably being on All Out 7 weeks later.

It's too bad they can't ride this momentum into their t.v deal.

I'm finding it hard to pay attention at this point.

Yeah, a lot of the matches have included stuff that would actually be really good playing out on TV. Lots of tension and teases for different directions.

I think All Out will be a huge show. Omega/Moxley and Jericho/Page Title match almost ensures it.

Feel like they could get away with spreading out their main event-level stuff a lot more. I can understand why they swung for the fence with Double or Nothing, but Fight for the Fallen doesn't need to have too many exhausting matches.

That All Out card is looking pretty heavyweight. And letting those things stew for 14 weeks is a good way to get people hyped.

Can’t wait for WWE to counter this with a barnburner Lashley/Corbin tag match on Raw

Personally feel that's a big part of what makes wwe's longer PPV events drag so much. The pacing of the card is all over the place. I prefer the NJPW style of building up to the longer main event matches.

Apparently Dustin went into last night assuming it was his retirement match and he planned on leaving his boots in the ring after. Cody's comments after the match and invitation to face the Bucks were a surprise to him.

Vince better realize what's going on. He is in bad shape. AEW did in one night what WWE has failed to do in the past 2-3 years: create meaningful storylines. Doesn't matter in my eyes that they are a fresh company or not. Everything that happened last night had a purpose.

While I wanted them to stay away from anything WWE, Cody destroying the throne served it's purpose. It's an iconic moment that will be a foundation for this company for years to come.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the first few matches, the three "main-event matches" plus the title showing were the things that really sold me on this company.

I'm digging MJF. Guy looks and acts like the Miz but he might be better than the Miz. His arrogance is just outstanding. While it was painful to watch Bret Hart get in and out of the ring, that was a major name to show that first world title for AEW. Major props to them for getting him.

Dustin versus Cody was just AMAZING. I loved how Brandi got involved. Earl Hebner was the right guy to referee that. While I was legit wondering if Dustin was going to pass out from blood loss, there were so many moments in that match. When he turned the figure four into pain for Cody, it reminded me of Austin/Bret when Austin was in the sharpshooter and blood was streaming down his face. There's some poetic justice in that though. Austin was in pain but he was in the move. Dustin had reversed the submission hold so while he was fighting through the pain with blood dripping out of him, he actually was using the move to his advantage. Loved the ending how Dustin and Cody will team up for Fight for the Fallen.
The part that literally stuns me about this was how Vince and Hunter did not think this match would sell. They did ONE PROMO about it and had this match. Blood added to the overall standing of the match, but man did those two put on one hell of a show.

Bucks versus Lucha

I've watched tag team wrestling in NXT and walked away feeling impressed. Back when the Bucks, Cody, and Omega turned down WWE, I thought they were fools. I retract that statement 1000%. While Cody and Omega looked good tonight, the Bucks looked like the best tag team on the planet. I have no doubt when it's all said and done, they will be the greatest tag team of all time. I loved the story telling of this match. The Bucks missing spots added so much to the match. The crispness of the Lucha Bros. The near falls. The moves to the outside. The ONLY thing that concerns me is that this is the STANDARD for what they want in this company.

Jericho versus Omega. Great storytelling. While Jericho is not in the best shape of his life, that guy told one hell of a story last night. His finishing the match with the Judas elbow was so sudden that it actually had me pop for it. Jericho cutting the promo at the end made me think that Page was coming back out which was going to make me cringe because it would be so WWE...

But Moxley...the way they had him come in, hit dirty deeds against everyone, and close the show standing tall...they instantly erased everything WWE had done with him in the past year. And if they just let him be an absolute psycho like we know he can be, he will be one of the faces of AEW and his run with the Shield won't mean shit when it's all said and done.

I could not be more excited for their next two events. A friend and I will be online trying to get tickets for All In 2 since we live in Detroit and we could go over to Chicago very easily. The product won't grow stale because you know there will be angles shot for youtube and such.

It's hard to say and believe it, but this show made me love wrestling again last night. WWE has become so stale.

I'm so happy that everyone loved the show. I'm still buzzing from it. I'm just happy. It reminded me of the best of everything, the best of WCW, Lucha Underground, New Japan, ROH... just the best of everything all put on one show.

From the little that I saw it felt above TNA but not on WWE standards. They need to stop with the WWE references- it reeks of insecurity.

I didn't feel any TNA from AEW... The references at the beginning made me laugh, the throne breaking works only if you watched Game of Thrones.

This is what's wrong with wrestling. You base it off of reading results ( or lack thereof because I've not seen one site bash what happened) and watching 10 minutes of it (you probably watched what happened before the Dustin/Cody match with Cody destroying the throne).

Sit through the entire PPV and if you feel the same way, then it is what it is. But making a comment that you watched a little and it's above TNA and below WWE is so incredibly short-sighted.
