I'm smiling from ear to ear right now what a fucking crowd pleaser, perfect perfect booking. Cole was AWESOME and then of course as expected Danielson. I had kind of expected Flight of the Valkaries because Final Countdown is a lot more expensive. The mix they did for Valkaries was awesome. Danielson looked so fresh and Cole looked like a major star. Just an incredible moment for wrestling.

The main event was great but obviously suffered from some crowd burn out so it came off like a Jay White match but at the same time the actual action was fantastic so it just was what it was.

Overall one of the best PPV's I can remember with so many great matches and moments, I would say well worth my $50. I had a few skips on Fite but only for a second nothing major and will likely continue using them for my AEW PPV's.

The whole scene just changed with Cole and Danielson arriving and of course not to mention CM Punk, Mox on a rage, the women's division turned up to a much higher level and new babyface tag champs that will bring a ton of fresh matches to that division. Just great!

Having The Elite with Kenny, The Bucks, The Good Brothers and Cole in the ring was pretty insane and then they top it off with Danielson, Cage and Jurassic Express in a showdown, what a f'n moment! So cool. Danielson was ON FIRE with his flurry too. So cool. That AEW chant at the end was one of the purest crowd chants ever.

Also I liked that Danielson wasn't playing the Yes Man gimmick up, maybe he will eventually but if he doesn't I think it's a good move.

And CM Punk man, he looked like a fucking movie star tonight. I feel like he's the coolest guy, he has cool hair, cool grey scuff, cool tatoos, he looked huge (for Punk)... Just awesome.

Mox also man, his promo's have been UNFILTERED lately and he looks MASSIVE. I am really digging how the guys in AEW aren't trying to have a body like EC3 they just look natural and bad ass as fuck.

I still dont understand the 3rd party stuff logically. Like MAYBE if it was say Kofi back when he was pretending to be Jamaican and then he was doing Twitch in his normal voice having an issue with it, but that is it.

Certainly whatever little bit of extra money Vince could squeeze out of controlling that isn't worth the embarrassment of having a guy turn down a multi million dollar contract and signing with the competition.

My only gripe, and it's not a big deal all things consider, is the terribleness of Danielson's theme.

And yet, I imagine he has some creative input into it and for whatever reason I could see Bryan actually thinking it would be hilarious to use a super generic rap theme you'd see as an extra song for CAWs in the video games.

I know we were all looking forward to hearing The Final Countdown. But Valkaries is free to the domain and it's a lot more identifiable to the WWE fans than Countdown. Plus the remix they did was pretty sick and made Danielson look fresh as fuck. I disagree with the hate for that song or any hate for this show other than Big Show. QT was great but damn, it's sad to see Big Show out there like that. He just didn't look good in any way to put it simply.

I know all yall Big Show fans out there saying "he stole the show", "he was the one the people came to see", "we love Paul Wight", "I think Paul Wight has strong legs" etc... But come on. It was SAD. He's in a large amount of debt due to never fulfilling his boxing contract from years ago and he has had to put himself in this position to get rich again. I could see the disappointment in his face after the match too, like he knew that nobody cared. It sucked all around. He's such an emotional guy.

Punk said one match he wanted was him and Danielson against The Young Bucks. If Punk joins the babyface alliance with Cage, Danielson and Jurassic Express oh man what an exciting match that would be for Grand Slam. Nothing like a main event Buck's match and then throw in Punk and Danielson and I will wrestlecum all over my section.

This is all very exciting for the future of aew, but this was done in the most boneheaded way imaginable. Fans barely had time to process adam cole before Bryan came out. This is literally how I booked my wrestling figures when I was a child.

Yeah AEW does have that problem where they crammed too much stuff at a time but on the flip side, that's also been one of the big appeals about AEW since it arrived compared to how WWE handles things.

When they want to go bananas, they go all out and don't hold back.

Similar to the way Vince & co saw how big of a gold mine embracing social media could be for the company after Zack Ryder's success, they saw the money their talent was raking in from third party deals and wanted it all for themselves instead.

Plus it helps keep the investors happy after them being pissed over the Saudi deals and other issues these past couple years.

A few months ago I would have thought it was a small list, but after they started releasing main event world champions, just about anybody there has to question their job security. Also, why would anybody want to sign a new deal with WWE when WWE can just release them at any time and only have to pay them during their non compete.

I am guessing since AEW has not released hardly anybody, that the wrestlers have far more trust in an AEW contract being honored over a WWE contract.

I get what Fignuts said and it's valid but they're trying to set the world on fire and you can make the argument that bringing Cole in as soon as possible after his deal expires is a big FU to Samford that's just as big a deal to the locker room as it is the show.

I thought Cole should have debuted on the last Dynamite, but if he was going to align with the heel Elite, I think it's perfect for him to be upstaged by a face. It gives him a far more interesting storyline and motivation than just "hey these are my friends", which without Bryan it would have been. Him and Bryan could use that for years, and I think this is better than him just debuting last Wednesday would have been.
