My annoyance is more over the bullshit he came out with at the start of tonights match about Bucharest.
Piata Muncii is actually not too bad.
He's a fuck nut.
Not as bad though as the ESPN commentators

Where was Tyldesley on tonight? I thought it was Jon Champion and Jim Beglin.

The thing about Big Ron is that he obviously felt comfortable enough to say those things with whoever he was talking to, which was probably Tyldesley. Whoever he was talking to laughed at his comments, also.
What I'm saying is: Tyldesley should be sacked too. If not for that, then for most of his commentating during Euro 2004 which went beyond jingoistic into xenophobia, especially against France.

Tyldesley is a knob and always has been. He should have been sacked. i am amazed that no one ever called either for the stuff they come out with. But ITV Sport is so fucking terrible. Andy Townsend is just the worst pundit ever, worse than ian Wright.
Euro 2004 was just the worst for commenating - I wish they'd realise that there is more to life than the fucking premiershit.

Big Ron wasn't thinking, I have the clip on my PC, the guy sounded genuinley annoyed that Chelsea had lost, and he didn't think the people int he studio would care he said it, he said it in the heat of the moment.

Barry Davies owns any other commentator.
Martin Tyler's a close second but he can get a bit preoccupied trying to make dull shite games seem like they're the most entertaining thing ever, cause it's the Premiership y'know.
Still not as bad as Motson.
Anyway, everyone knows the best commentator is Jonathan Pearce.*

Lawro is the worst pundit. The way he talks makes you want to go out and slash your wrists, he ALWAYS predicts Liverpool to win and when we played Liverpool in the cup, 2 weeks running he was doing the analysis and both weeks he kept calling Linvoy Primus "Leeroy". He was man of the match in the second game, you'd think someone would have pointed it out.</font>

I prefer Tyler, the worst is that one who mentioned Stepanovs not recovering from Arsenals 6-1 defeat against Man United in all of Latvia's games.I think that was Tyldesley.

With all due respect (because I know you have been to Romania) but who does?
To me he was coming out with every single stereotype about Romania. The basic lack of respect for teams who aren't Real Madrid or AC Milan.
The assumption that playing Man Utd is the most important game. As most of my mates told me - the most important game is against Steaua.
It's the with how they all patronise African or Asian teams. No one ever turned around and said that Senegal were a good team for beating France, or South Korea for beating Italy - it was always because France were poor and Italy were too defensive. All that bullshit about naive defending.
The bit that made me laugh was when United scored and the commentator claimed it had gone silent whilst anyone listening could hear that it had got louder.
Uk commentators should learn just because a UK team is playing doesn't mean that everyone is supporting them.

The very fact that he said it off air when he thought people wouldn't be listening shows that it wasn't heat of the moment and that he was in control of what he was saying.
