8, anything Jake was know for has already been said. He screws with your head, he had the moves, he was just.. evil. It is just unfortunate that drugs took over. Just watch 'Beyond the Mat' movie and find out.

And one last thing.... I hyped it for weeks, I was going to give him a 9.6.. and I missed his RTW.. I missed DiBiase! But he got a great score, so I'm happy. HAHA MONEY MONEY MONEY MONNNEEEYY!

When you said the master of the DDT, i thought you meant torrie Wilson :shifty:

aaaanywayz, credit to Ted Debiasse, true icon of sports entertainment
onto Jake the Snake

Ability: 8 - good ability, not brilliant but strong
Overness: 10 - always had the crowd in the palm on his hand
Entrance/music: 9
Finisher: 10 - the ddt isnt a brilliant move, but he came up with it! plus it has helped create many other moves today, such as the Pedigree, edgecution (i think), X-Factor :wtf:, unprettier and the double arm DDT (i think that was mankind's old move).
Charisma/mic: 10
Look: 10 - always fit the part perfectly

9.5. However, he dropped the ball for himself, and that reduces him to 9

His match against Rick Martel when they both had to have the bags over their heads was one of my favorite matches of all time. It was just so funny..

That makes me want to dominate Rick Martel for a future rate the wrestler

One of the best ring psychologists ever. Not the best looking physique in the ring, but since when did that matter?

At first I was inclined to say "he had problems and it shouldn't affect his rating as a WRESTLER". But being a crack addict, I'm sure, has cost him opportunities that would have enabled him to accomplish more and thus improve his rating.

You know Jake isn't the only wrestler in the world to have a drug problem, I think it's unfair to mark him down because of it, we are basising this on how he was as a performer, not how he was on a wrestling documentary film.

And when the others have a drug problem that affects their performance too, well then they will get the appropriate rating.

Look, I'm not bashing him; he is one of my all time favorites, top five for sure. However, I'm going to rate him objectively, and not according to how I personally feel.

He was one of the best ring psychologists EVER. To me, how he was as a performer might have been rated higher if he could have kept his shit together and therefore perhaps accomplished more. His crack addiction cost him the ability to capitilize on opportunities that would have helped to justify the 9.5 I would have given him otherwise. Its not like 8 is terrible. It still puts him in the same league with really good guys.

I wasn't aiming this any anyone in particular, just that some people may take that into consideration.

And to be fair his work rate in the WWF from what I can remember wasn't tarnished that much by drugs, he still performed well.

It was when he started the indy circuit that things went downhill, I should know i've worked on 4 shows that he's been working on (cheap plug!).

-EDIT- That is exactly what I'm talking about. His earlier stellar work would have garnered him the 9.5 but then he fell to an 8; which is still respectful.
