View Full Version : Bye Bye IMPACT!

It looks like TNA's run on Fox Sports Network is over. The final episode of Impact! is slated for this Friday (5/27) at 4 PM. Impact! is not on the schedule for 6/3 on FSN, with "The World Series Of Darts" taking its place.

TNA has no current listings on the FSN website which lists its line-ups all the way to July. It looks like TNA will go into the dark as far as TV exposure for the time being. They will continue to run their monthly PPVs.

Expect some sort of announcement re-gaurding TNA's television future within the next 7-10 days.

TNA is still talking to WGN and Spike TV about getting a timeslot on one of those networks. Currently, WGN seems like more of a possiblity.

Hahahaha ECW got shafted for Roller hockey and TNA got shafted for darts.

If they get on Spike TV that could be huge, but they better sure up there booking and programming cause the junk they put on FSN wont cut it on Spike.

 I was thinking the exact thing about TNA. Yeah... we think a DART show is more exciting.

A DART show.

At least roller hockey is understandable.

But a DART show??? Wow. :o

FSN: Guys, this just isn't working out. We're trying to reach our core demographic, but you guys just aren't doing it. So first off, we're gonna bump your show.

TNA: with what?

FSN: Poker. Also, we're not renewing you. We're going with something more to our target audience. You see, just in case Poker's not a big enough draw, we're bringing in the pure atheleticism of...Get this...Darts...

*TNA executives laugh nervously, and then realise it's not a joke*

Which is pretty much what happened with Spike TV.

STV: We're sorry guys, but wrestling doesn't fit in with our macho image. Without the pure testosterone of shows like McGyver and the Lance Grall show, we'd just be another chick station. Like Oxygen or the Playboy channel.

TNA: You guys don't even KNOW what guys watch, do you?

Poor TNA...

Jarrett: For fuck's sake, Jeff, you miss the ONE PPV where we're being reviewed and we lose our fucking spot! What do you have to say for yourself!?

Hardy: Hey man, don't look at me, you know I didn't have anyth-

Jarrett: YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DRIVE THE FSN EXECUTIVES HERE!

Hardy: Wha? OOOhhh, when Matt told me I had a call from you guys about picking someone up, I thought he was kidding! My bad, so when's my next title shot?

So you've heard Sid Waddell commentate then?

(He commentates on the darts and sometimes on pool for Sky Sports - for those unaware).

One of his classic comments (ie, the only one I can remember right now) was along the lines of:
"Like the wrestler Kurt, he knows his Angle's well."

Its brillian insight like that. That gets the World Dart Championship commentator the big bucks.

Some brilliant one's on there.

God damn, I knew that Impact sucked big time but this is ridiculous. That Dusty Rhodes certainly knew how to book a show.

That just gave me an idea. If TNA gets with WGN or even Spike, maybe they should take SmackDown!'s current 8-10 timeslot. Whatever people are left wanting to stay with Thursday as their wrestling night would take up TNA I would imagine.
