It's not as if this was the series finale. There's still plenty of time to explain stuff.

My only fear is that this could turn into an X-Files situation where shit just goes on and stops making sense. But as of right now, I'm loving it and have no problems with what they have/haven't explained.

They did explain the polar bears when saw the first Dharma video. And this show is fucking phenominal. I'm pissed in a way though because I just started watching it all 6 weeks ago and now I have nothing. No LOST. No The Shield. No The Sopranos (yet). Fuckers.

Des will survive. No way can he be killed off when they just started the gimmick of his bird looking for him. I think Locke and Ecko are alive too. Alex will play a much bigger role next year.
