View Full Version : Okay, what's up with Kane?
Kane Knight

They're hyping his horror movie so they're making him look like a total idiot for some cheesy, shitty-ass storyline?
And how long until Loopy and company jump on this bandwagon?
I looked it up and noted that he wrestled with Hawk in his last match on that date.
I could actually see them doing something about him having something to do with the death. :nono:

I heared that the plan is this:
WWE believes Kane is a more convincing main eventer as a heel.
They want to push Kane to the main event to promote his film.
WWE plans to have Kane defeat Big Show then get drafted to Smackdown.
WWE plans on having Kane defeat the world champion at Judgement Day for the title.
Apparently it is all Vince McMahon's idea to promote Kane's film as he believes it will make more money if the star was World Champion.
Many within WWE believe it shouldn't happen as they have not got enough time to make Kane a convincing main eventer by Judgement Day. But Vince is sticking to his idea.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I heared this about a month ago saying Kane was going to turn heel and feud with Big Show.
So he may just win the World title?

This seems totally probable and I was actually thinking the same thing last night: "Oh, he's got a movie coming out, they must be trying to give hm a push." Makes sense.

But we've had way too many title changes already... Kane winning it would be sorta overkill?
Then again, no one views Rey as a long standing champ anyway... :-\

I dont think him as champ would make the movie bring in more cash....the movie is gonna bomb and I believe everyone already knows that.
But what ever brings the old Kane back is well worth it...just hope this storyline doesnt end in a crappy way...

I heard that he's going to steal Rey's after he kills him during their title match and becomes champ. Of course it will only fit over one of his ears, but Vince thinks it'll be a good look for him. :shifty:

Nope. 'Cause unlike things that are entertaining like the Boogeyman, Pirate Paul Burchill, and especially the Spirit Squad; this was terrible. I hate "first-person" stuff in wrestling.
Although, the premise of a Kane/Show feud is sort of promising, considering some of the stuff they've done lately (the "second door" sketch, for example).

Kane becomming credible again = jizz in Alienoid's pants.
Kane is my favourite wrestler, so seeing him get the World Title would be seven shades of awesome, in my book. It might actually help me fall in love with the product again. If they really want to make him look good coming out of this, they will have him beat John Cena, though. Monster Kane having his way with John Cena? That would pop the crowd.

Kane's no Kurt Angle or Chris Jericho, but the funny thing is, Monster Kane is one of the most consistently over guys in the company. Kane has been riding his early accomplishments for years now. I fully expect the crowd to be behind Kane at Judgment Day, at least partially.

Then He wins it now at Judgement day and agian falls victum to the MITB winner.

Rey Mysterio vs. Kane at Judgment Day makes a lot of sense, too. Kurt Angle, Booker T, Chris Benoit, etc. will probably all be tied up with the King of the Ring Tournament. The best I can come up with as a challenger is JBL (who is US Champion at the moment).
I will definately be ordering Judgment Day if Kane is involved.

I don't really think it's a question of credibility. Kane has beaten countless main eventers and is still being misused.
Any time you have a deserving talent with an opportunity to win a belt, it's all good. Saying Kane doesn't have the credibility to win a belt is the equivalent of saying RVD doesn't deserve to win a World/WWE title.
For that matter, many thought Benoit would never win "the big one". But, he did. I think WWE purposely buries talent and then lets them win a title just so you'd believe their corny tag line "Anything can happen in the WWE!".
As for Kane's movie "See No Evil" it looks good, but, I'll reserve judgements until I see it. Having Kane chokeslam Show was a good, strong move towards making Kane a main-eventer.

But see, that's exactly what I'm saying. Kane could be a main eventer, but he's not. Right now he is a tier below the John Cena's, Triple H's, Edge's and Shawn Michaels' on RAW.
Kane is just outside the circle of being a "top guy". He's never really stepped into that circle. I doubt he will this time, but I would love to see it happen.
A few wins and a few mark out moments of destruction is all he really needs to be viewed as a title threat. Right now he has been away from the hunt for so long, they really need to ease him back in. A win against Big Show would do that.

I agree to some degree that Kane is outside the top-tier level. Why is that?
Simple. During the "Attitude" era in which the Kane character debuted, he made his impact and then floundered away to doing nothing. He was stuck with freakin' X-Pac[which is a punishment no wrestler should have to endure] and was then a member of the McMahon/Taker/Kane alliance. Although Kane was briefly WWF Champion for one day, having him lose the next RAW masked what credibility he had going into the main events..........
Fast forward about 7 years and you get the watered down version of Kane stuck doing nothing. The sad thing is in-between those 7 years, he only got 3 title shots. One against Austin, one against HHH, and one against Benoit.....
So, as I said, his history of being a main-event guy is there, it's just the misusing of his character that's the issue. I agree they need to improve his current character before giving him a World title.

Kane's been going for the World Title, just never winning it lately, much like Undertaker used to do. YES, I know they're not really brothers, but that's the first similie that came to mind. Kane was even in the Elimination Chamber earlier this year and usually is.
As for "John Cena's, Triple H's, Edge's and Shawn Michaels'", Kane's come pretty close with Triple H, and it seemed like Kane got at least as many wins over Edge when they were feuding last year as Edge got over Kane.

I remember Kane getting his ass kicked weekly cause he was a bitch about the whole Lita thing.
I, personally, feel like they've shattered Kane's credibility. This isn't something that occurred in a short period of time. Just consider years and years of losses in title matches/elimination chambers etc.
I want to get behind Kane, like I'm sure a number of people do. Its just after all this time of being in and out of the main event, having a one day title reign to show for it and a bunch of misses thereafter, its hard to believe he's finally gonna get it. It doesn't help that he'd be beating Mysterio and not Cena, as I think having him beat Cena would do wonders for his credibility. As is, I think if booked correctly, they could make him seem formidable, but it seems from what's been said, the just wanna send him over to SD, stomp out Ray and hold the belt in time for the whole movie project

Kane requested he lose the title the next night because as champ you had to do a lot of shit more then other wrestlers, and wearing a full body suit that didn't allow sweat wouldn't allow him to do that (According to him)

Kane needs to go Psycho on everything and everyone, remember a few years back, when he threw Bichoff off the stage? He needs to something like that on a bigger scale to everyone. Then he should go to smackdown and pull the fist down somehow. Just fuck up everything. Then give him a title shot.

That segment on Raw where we could hear Kanes thoughts would've been more realistic/made more sense if he couldn't hear his thoughts.I hate this style of writing WWE is using recently. They're making it as though we are watching a movie.Look back to Ortons feud with the Undertaker,we could see stuff Orton was seeing, and that no one else could. It makes no sense.I want the WWE writing team to explain to us how we see/hear these things.I imagine they would have a hard time doing so.

It's not as bad as the Ultimate Warrior/Hogan angle from WCW. Half the reason Kane was effetive was because of his mask, it brought mystery to his character, now he just looks like the worlds biggest transvestite. Kane wasnt that much of a main eventer back in the attitude era, but people avoided him like the plague. Without a face you couldn't see any emotions, its only a matter of time before we see kane cry. If he did put his mask back on, people wouldnt question it, they'd just be glad it was back.

Well, accept it or don't accept it, not much I can do about it. But there's a difference between a shitty gimmick and a campy gimmick. The Spirit Squad is good, campy fun. Kane hearing voices in his head (that, through the magic of bad storytelling, we can hear too!) is shit.
