View Full Version : So I've officially been added to the WWE blocked email list...

Today I went ahead and spent a few minutes writing to the WWE creative staff about my reactions to the SS ppv last night. I can only assume that they have immediately deleted my email and have had an intern or some computer program block my email address to prevent any future respondence from me.
The content of my letter to them is below. Some things of interest that you may notice: I included the obligatory HHH ass kissing that must come with anything that you might write if you had even the most remote hope that somebody on the creative team might read it. I tried my best to have perfect grammar and spelling in hopes, again, that if somebody did read it, it would stand out from the mass of emails they get that begin with "Jonh C3nnuhz Ru[ZoRrzzzZ!!1!"
Read and enjoy....
As a fan of the WWE, I was very disappointed with the results of the Survivor Series PPV. The workrate of the wrestlers during the show was as good as could be expected, as was the indivual spots throughout the matches. My disappointment results from the booking, however. The WWE's booking as of late has been very reminiscent of the booking of the WCW in its later years, giving the fans quick title changes and face victories for a quick ratings boost. However the current booking style may affect the WWE, good or bad, I feel personally as though I am being patronized by the creative staff. When a new storyline or character is introduced, I feel excited about what the story will bring, or what the character will do. However, everytime the story pans out, I am given another face squash match, or another disqualification victory by a heel.
Every new storyline is watered down until the same underlying formula for success shows through. Can't a heel get over without running like a coward? Last night, Randy Orton was the last man on his team. I recall on a previous Survivor Series, in a similar situation, he nearly single handedly took out the remainder of the opposing team. This year? He ran like a coward into the crowd where he was quintuple teamed and pinned in less than a half a minute. Why should I cheer for DX when I'm naturally predisposed to root on the underdog. I am reminded of the Undertaker's final run with the title. As a heel, he never ran away at the sight of a face. He never cheated for a quick victory. Taking all of this into consideration, the crowds still hated him. Another example is HHH. Though he has played the coward on some occasions, his range of characteristics has been varied to keep him interesting. Watching the same characters with different names makes the entire wrestling product very boring.
I also am concerned with the results of the first blood match between Mr. Kennedy and the Undertaker. Why should I believe that Kennedy is the future of Smackdown when he reacts in the exact same way that everybody else who fights the Undertaker reacts? Why should I even care about a match whose results are so obvious that I know exactly what is going to happen before the match even begins?
In conclusion, I am not writing this as a complaint, or as a threat to change the product before I choose to stop watching, but as a suggestion for improvement. I began this letter stating that I am a loyal fan of the WWE, and I still am. However, after spending my own money on a PPV that gave me nothing new, and everything of the old, I feel cheated. The same old results for every match bores me, and the excitement about new characters and storylines quickly fades and leaves me with the same DX victory, followed by the same Cena victory, followed by the same of everything else...and nothing more.
I should note that after sending the email, I read the following:
Storyline Ideas
WWE does not accept ideas for storylines, matches or merchandise. Please be aware that any e-mails we receive will not be reviewed and will be deleted without being read.
SHouldn't that read "Please be aware that any e-mails we recieve about storylines will not be reviewed and will be deleted without being read"?
I sense a freudian slip in there...

As a fan you have every right to say what you want to to the WWE. I totally see you're view points. I was also a little upset over how SS went, and I plan on e-mailing them about it. Well, first I have to head to the DMV. If that doesn't make me bitter enough to tell them how to do their jobs and pick apart every little part of the show when in all honesty I don't think I could do any better, what will?

You know, if I was going to write one (after recent Raws, I've been tempted to), I'd leave out "smark" talk. Now, you know and I know that between Vince, the announcers, and video games, all the insider terminology has been exposed to the point of devalue, but the last thing you want to do at this point is turn off any potential reader with "insider" terms that make you look like a smark. Don't say workrate. Say that wrestling is boring. Or the talking is boring. Don't talk about heel runs or faces. I know heel run's easier to say than "when Udertaker was the bad guy," but try.
And don't forget to mention merch. Remember, WWE wants you to buy tickets, T-Shirts, DVDs, and so on, and that'll hurt more than any issue of viewing. It'll also add more credibility when you talk about the product, whether or not you say you'll stop buying it. People take a consumer more seriously than not.
This operates under the assumption that someone reads it. But you're probably not writing it unless you're hoping someone does. Best to be professional as possible, even when dealing with carnies who probably still call us "rubes."

The thought had crossed my mind at one point while writing all of that that by using insider terminology they'd disregard me as some IWC clown who was just bitching for the sake of bitching, but I decided that I'd go ahead and just write what I was thinking in as professional a tone as possible. I didn't want to go as far as threatening them about refusing to not watch or not buy their merchandise, but thinking back, I could have mentioned that I felt less inclined to spend money when I'm bored with the product.
I just got a reply email that said I should wait between 1 and 2 days for my email to be read. Here's the email

BAH GAWD wwe listens to its fans, FREEDOM OF SPEECH FREEDOM OF SPEECH confiscate that lil fuckers sign, censor the crowd, add crowd noise to this taping like the crowds actually interested in this match etc etc. :shifty:
I never even bothered watching the main event last night of surivor series, pretty fucking obvious batista was gonna win if this was his last chance at the title. :foc:

You wait in a few years when they have to write good angles with a competitor, they will be like "Shit, we should have read those ideas".
Besides the fact that they really don't give a shit about the fans, or seem to not at least. The chances of them listening or reading you opinion are slim to nil. I tried it once to ask a question, I got the same thing.
and my question was
" Was the end to the evolution versus rock n' sock a mistake"?
The way it ended always bugged me, and mick and rock just seemed so pissed, and like what the hell just happened, it seemed like the ref was counting against his will, as Orton held down Mick too long, and wanted to keep the realistic illusion, I also asked about the Edge/Hardy match, where Matt was busted open, that match was another that seemed odd to me.

As long as TNA keeps on booking their shit the way they do, WWE doesn't have to worry about much. ;)

'Dude', if that's how you type your e-mails to the WWE, then I'm sure that they can't even read them, let alone respond.

You're the idiot. You're like those people who toss their political ideas out like candy but don't vote because they think the voting machines are rigged. It took five minutes of my time which I could have wasted typing a post here bitching to people who can't do anything about it (Which I kinda did that as well with a copy/paste job that killed two birds with one stone.) And why the hell wouldn't they read it? Maybe an intern who skims through it and trashes it afterwards is possible, but to assume that because you send it and can't see where it's going that it will never get there is caveman-esque in stupidity. Lose the paranoia and the shitty attitude, deuce.
BTW, for everyone else here... After one day there's still no reply. I've still got another day before I assume that they've ignored me. I'd send another if they did, but like the topic says, they've probably just blocked one more email address of yet another in a long long list of smarks.

:shifty:
What, I just wanted to be included...
I don't recall seeing Jordan toss out any ideas on wrestling recently. Why would he be comparable to the guy who tosses out political ideas, but won't vote? While we're on it, what kind of shitty analogy is that? You "vote" for TV with your watching or not watch, which affects ratings. You "vote" in an election by ballots. Both are comparable because they are extensions of approval or disapproval with no context or feedback. What you did was write your Congressman. In this case, a corrupt congressman who is known for disregarding his constituants, but a congressman nontheless. He might still vote, regardless of whether he thinks there's a point to writing his congressman, or whether he thinks you're an idiot for expecting yours to read your letter.
Not to mention you pretty much said "I am dissatisfied with your work, but don't take it as a threat I won't vote for you."

ya, I don't follow wrestling anymore, aside from the odd thread in tpww forums; but noone in a creative position would sit through such a long essay email such as this one about wwe storylines, it has to be short and sweet to make a point, just like any email to a friend or something.
you could easily sum it all up in a paragraph or less.

Yeah. The more I think about it, it probably was too long. I was just pissed that I spent my money thinking that this PPV being a big 4 couldn't really be so bad that I would wish I had my money back. I just wanted to get everything out. They're lucky I wrote it in such a professional tone, though I say they're lucky as though they would even care about what I have to say, should they even read it at all.
Maybe I should do what KK said and ride a panda naked....or was it a naked panda?
I think I'll just save myself the trouble and just not order PPVs or watch Raw anymore. Then I don't have to worry about getting pissed off again.

Dear e-mailer,
Thank you for your feedback regards the WWE product(s).
Your comments have been taken on board and passed to the writers at the earliest possible oppotunity.
Please be aware, however, that due to the fact that our writers are simply a group of Nickolodeon-loving monkey's with typewriters, whether or not your comments will lead to anything other some inane monkey chatter, jumping on chairs and scratching of heads is unknown at this time.
You will be happy to know that the WWE recently signed a 15-pound crab named 'Eugene Crabs', who starred in the hit movie 'The Spongebob Squarepants Movie' and will be debuting in the very near future on RAW! (Monday Nights at 9/8 CT on USA).
We hope that you continue to enjoy our product(s), and don't forget DECEMBER TO DISMEMBER! (This Sunday on PPV), where the Extremists take XXX-Mas to a whole new level of EXTREME with 2 HOT matches signed already. Santa Claus won't be delivering to any of the Extremists, that's for sure!
Look out for the release of SEE NO EVIL (starring WWE Superstar KANE), out now on DVD, wherever DVD's are sold, or have SALE STOCK!
Also, THE MARINE, starring WWE Champion John Cena is still on at cinemas everywhere! Check out John making things explode, feuding with the T-1000 from Terminator 2, and taking CHEESY line-delivery to a whole new level of THUGONOMICS!
Kind Regards,
