That's my conundrum, I have a pretty decent stud in LaRoche, yet on my team he ranks as my 3rd best 1B.

Like I said, LaRoche is a very good player, but ranked 3rd in depth at his position on my team. I was feeling like trading him was never going to happen. Feverpitch has accepted a deal for him. Now Snell isn't a stud of a pitcher, but I do believe he's the 'Ace' as things go for the Pirates.

So relieved right now. Thing is I think LaRoche is going to do a 30/100 year no matter what, so Howard and Giambi better not have shit years.

From what I've heard about Drew he seems to be a Barry Larkin type. He hit 7 triples last year in about 200 ABs so I'd assume he's got pretty good speed but he only stole 2 bases so go figure.

Wouldn't be shocked if El Duque especially doesn't last the season, but should be much better value than Colon. Jeff Weaver should be as well, just depends which Jeff Weaver we see (the world series winning one or the crap one). Garcia should improve in the NL, and nothing really needs be said about Maddux

I would get Brad Hawpe and JD Drew which would solidify my OF which is my weakest position and Adder would get Alex Rodriguez who I can depart with since I have Garret Atkins. What do you guys think?

Nah, you should be fine. For the first week or so, Yahoo has live scoring, so whenever someone does something it adds to your total, so your totals will rise and fall during the day. After the live scoring ends it'll update daily.

Well, you can only get 12 points per catagory and judging by the stats in the roto league you were already really highly ranked in the pitching categories so you couldn't improve that much. But you did widen the gap between your pitching and the next team's.

but anyway, the stats you accumulate are added daily to your totals. At weeks end (Sunday) the grand total is compared to your opponent and you are awarded officially that amount of points. Each day when you look at the totals they will change (likely) I was for ex: up 9-6 on Friday, but am now down 2-12. What I was up or down during the week it really irrelevant. All that matters is the end totals. You can strategizes categorically during the week if you are really up or down about how you'll play the remainder of the week.

You can get better value than Chris Ray. Closers are a dime a dozen, and can often be found on waivers (Dan Wheeler, Al Reyes, already this year). He's not an elite closer or anything. I don't think I'd trade Giambi and Figgins for Nathan, Papelbon, K-Rod or Rivera.

I still have no interest in Figgins, and with Clemens coming back the last thing I need is a SP, I'm also a little reluctant to move a RP till we see if BJ Ryan comes back.

That being said, if you really want to get a RP off me, my need is a power hitter, offer me some package where you get a closer and one of my hitters (not a real good one, but average) for one of your 300/30hr type guys and we can talk. 2-1 (you getting the two) until then it doesn't help me any to make these deals and with Clemens coming back dealing 2-1 and having to eat another roster spot really doesn't help me. It'd have to be a 1-1 or 1-2 (you getting the two).

The thing is Ramirez is a money in the bank kind of guy. The other two, whilst doing well at this point do not have the track record. Pretty tempting trade me thinks. All depends on what your needs are of course.

Well Upton is one of 4 guys I have eligible at 2B, the others being Weeks, Kinsler, and F. Sanchez. And Sanchez is a backup UTIL player, since that's where I'm playing Youk right now. I figure Youk will break his hitting streak soon since he's probably at his peak now, and Upton has been on the decline since early May. Ramirez can make up for the loss in AVG and OBP from losing Youk and Upton, and he adds more HR which is my biggest need.

because Upton is 2B and 3B eligible, perhaps OF eligible soon too (Yahoo leagues) I'd rather hold on to him and move Kinsler. But that's just me. It's not a combination of how many days you win. That means nothing. It's who has the most catergory victories at the end of Sunday.

At some point you may have been leading that category, but that doesn't mater, all that matters is come the end of play Sunday, the player with the most (in this case) runs, wins that category.

Same thing for all the other catergories... During this week, your teams pitching combined for an ERA of 3.56 whilst Gooner's posted a weekly ERA of 3.98. You won that categories, therefore you got 1 point.

If you click on 'Week 9' and then click on 'match up' you will see the week's totals for all the categories we play. The winner's will be in bold and they are tallied to show you the amount of points you/he won.
