Played the demo a bit. A lot of things throw me off, because they've switched around so much stuff. Grappling seems to only be done by RB+Up (or B for some reason) and the others are either power moves or regular moves, though I may have it wrong.

The worst thing is the running, though. Either I'm doing it wrong or you constantly have to direct where you're running, even when running the ropes. Really fucked me up when trying to do any kind of running move.

Seems that while evolving last year's grappling engine (which I liked) they added it to unnecessary things like running and virtually broke the game.

You should do like I do and check the IGN page for SvR '08. Once they've "counted down" a superstar, their "page" or profile, or whatever becomes linked.

Not a whole lot of new legends this year, or really much of a legends roster at all for that matter:

Ya know, I'd like to see WWE put out a Legends game. I know there's already a "Legends Of Wrestling" series out there, but the gameplay on the third one is so hardcore bad.
All I'm asking for is a SmackDown style game with a small roster of 30 (just to have the right number for a royal rumble), and a whole heap of things to unlock like other legends, new move sets, FMVs of famous moments in wrestling history, and some little things.
I'd assume they have the bulk of the programing done already, so don't they crank out a Legends game in a year or two? Maybe take a year off from making the SmackDown games for this?

They could easily have 50 legends in the game.

A legends game would be boring, simply for the fact that movesets would be rather limited and unexiteing. In a game like firepro or KOC, it wouldn't matter since those games involve a lot more psychology and pacing. With smackdowns arcade/sim style play, it would get boring fast. Thats why they had wrestlers in the LOW series doing moves that hadn't even been invented in their time.

Also, either the folks at IGN got lazy and showed Foley's entrance from ’07, or they didn’t change his entrance in ’08 at all, because it sure looked like his entrance from ’07, with the ECW ONS P-P-V arena selected...:wtf:

Oh, and Sabu, if anything will probably be the 1 superstar that's on the roster that will make me go out and buy this title instead of renting despite it's review scores and whatnot.

The ign review states that if a wrestler gets injured in either gm or 24\7 mode theres no way to let him rest. :wtf:

I go to the calendar, and there's no option to rest Matt. In fact, it turns out there's no option in the game. If you get hurt, you have to wrestle with the injury. This meant I had to keep sending Matt into match after match, and his hurtin' back meant that as soon as the bell rang, his torso was already damaged. The opponent would get a couple moves in, and Matt would be dead weight.

This is a rather large problem. It's as if 24/7 Mode can't decide if it's an angle or a shoot. On the one hand, you have GM Mode where you're hiring people to write storylines and thus admitting wrestling's staged. Then, there's the career portion of 24/7 where you're forced to fight with injuries that would have the real Superstars laid up for months. You can make the argument that not performing in your season isn't fun, but I can assure you getting your ass handed to you match after match because all it takes is a hip toss to cripple you isn't a good time either.

Also, you have to create playlists for custom entrance music, no special ref matches, no option for title match mode however you can select to defend title when you wrestle as or against a champion.

This series just needs a serious kick in the ass for next year. The fact that I'm more than likely not going to buy it this year speaks volumes since I was always saying I'd buy every game just because its tradition.

The most important thing (besides obviously fixing the gameplay): get rid of the fucking voiceovers. Every year they add more VO and it limits everything: the season, and the space. If VO wasn't in I bet they could easily fit another 10-15 people in the game and people would be free to use anyone in season they felt like.

And they need to get their heads out of their asses with the rosters next year. The fact that there's only 1 tag team in the game is pathetic, especially when that tag team ISN'T the one that held the belts for the better part of a year.

I think it's time to start from scratch. They've taken this current engine as far as possible as far as I'm concerned, and it's starting to show it's age despite improvements. It's the same game every year with new graphics and one or two additions.

They should skip a year or two (maybe just release an XBL/PSN update) and do a new/adapt another engine. Or even improve the DOR engine, which was pretty much the superior engine last gen. The DOR engine with features from the SvR series could make for a fresh gameplay experience I think.

I'd of course prefer an entirely new engine, but again, the SvR engine is getting played out, which is why I think I am skipping this game and going with FPR. (Will probably get it after the price drops in a year, though.)

Yeah there's no way they are skipping a year. And as KOOS said, they've started developing 2009 already. Pretty sure they've began developing the next game before the current one came out every year since the SVR series started.

What sucks though is that the fact that they've already started leads me to believe the engine will be the same. It feels like Madden: same engine, a few things tweaked, and there it is.

Things they need to remove for next year:

1. Commentary, seriously there is no need for it especially when it adds nothing to the game.

2. Voice Overs, see above. I'd much rather have text which frees up space in the game which allows for deeper story modes, rosters, attires, etc.

3. Less variety of match types. Okay, before you question my sanity on this on, hear me out. Why have a tag team Elimination Chamber? Since when was there one of those? Likewise with Ladder matches that end in a pinfall. If it has never happened on WWE TV, don't include it in the game.

I'm with Diesel Mac on this one, I'd have no problem with the commentary if it was actually good. As it stands though it's been the same thing for three years now and has barely improved. If thats going to be the trend then just remove it.

Voice Overs definately need to go, I've never heard a decent one and they added nothing to the game. Just handle talking via dialogue boxes and be done with it. It allows for storyline branching in careers and more usable characters in the career mode. It also frees up space for better features in the CAW mode and allows them to put more polish elsewhere.

A new engine could improve things a lot, the current one does look good but at the same time its probably the original game engine from the first game with bits and pieces tacked on over the years. Most likely a new engine could render better particle effects for the pyros, i think wwe raw still holds the crown for most impressive looking pyro effects and that was on their first attempt..pity the rest of the game blew.

Graphically while the game looks good the models still don't look that real, the lighting just doesn't seem to do them justice, and lighting a model or arena correctly can be the difference between real or cartooney looking characters.

I think the real question is though if they made a new enigne could the animations be ported over to it or would they have to be redone from scratch, if they all had to be redone then the first game on the new engine would probably have a very basic move set which would draw a lot of criticism. It would be like one step forwards while taking one step back in some respects.

For some reason though i see this existing engine hanging around till the next round of consoles or even longer.

You're probably right that the engine will be the same through this gen and possibly longer, but there HAS to be a point where they make a new engine. If THQ lost the rights to the WWE license it could, if picked up by the right company, be a good thing.

I'm interested to see just how different the TNA engine is going to be from SvR and if it's an improvement. It's been proven with a game like Skate that you CAN reinvent a genre.

SvR will change their engine when the Tony Hawk series does the same. I know; two franchises unrelated to each other. But they pretty started out the same year and had games released every year since. Both released solid games year after year by playing it safe although there were honorable exceptions (HCTP, THUG). They also face the same issues, a near decade old engine showing its age. However, Hawk never had any real comp until recently... they almost have a right to play it safe. Smackdown(vR) has been released alongside three other WWE game series (N64, Cube, XBox) and never once saw fit to include a feature that was well recieved in another game.

SvR 2007, being the first WWE game to go multiplatform in years, should have been awesome (as opposed to nice). And now we have a bunch of new excuses for absurd things like a small roster and a new wrestling engine that really is the old one cut and repasted. Mind you I like the Fighting Style system, it just feels like something that should have been done in the third SD or something...

I'm buying the game, the wrestling engine is interesting and the online play is said to be smoother. But that doesn't save the game from a Rant List:

Pitiful Roster: You can't expect me to believe they model each Superstar from stratch when its clear they merely update old models. Their excuse of "Time consuming modeling" and the WWE's "roller coaster roster" falls flat. Other developers find time to create rich downloadables after release. We should not have a slim roster after release as well.
VO: This has been said to death... Voice Overs take up space, limit Season Modes, and generally don't sound all that great. SvR 2006 was the best example of VO in a wrestling game, but not enough reason to waste time on it. Text doesn't bother me at all.
Roster: From now on, and this has been said before by me or some other poster, the (SD, RAW, ECW, Legends) roster should put to a vote on either WWE.com or THQ.com or both. This way we can be sure to have a decent roster. Close the polls off after a little while and hire a seperate team to work solely on modeling wrestlers - on the fly - right up until deadline. Mid-year roster updates should be DLC standard and be a three Superstar pack including their music, entrance camera angles, and two exclusive moves each.
Replay: DLC should also include music updates to wrestlers already in-game, but not move updates. This would be a fair developing routine.
Animation: Fire their mo-cap team and hire professional mimes to recreate taunts and entrance animations. Trust me on this. Actual wrestling moves sould be hand animated to make them sell better than real life.
CAW: Remove most of the joke parts and add choices that promote realistic 'he could exist' wrestlers. I've actually had to work harder to make legitimate looking CAWs as the years went by. UNACCEPTABLE

What gets me is some of this stuff doesn't sound hard on a tecnical level. I feel the SvR team is this close to releasing an awesome WWE game and they're just sandbaggin.

DLC is really something i don't see coming for wrestling games in general. If you could possibly update the roster via dlc with new tron vids and themes etc that would take away from their checkbox of features of the next iteration of the game.

Its obviously also the reason why we can't edit wrestlers attires, the 360 can store music and video..this year we're getting to change entrance themes. So why not go the whole hog and let user created videos be used for tron videos? Its something i think is pretty logical and something that wwe raw on the xbox done to a very limited extent but it was never explored after that game. It adds another layer of customisation to the game plus its something they could probably patch in (like custom music for 2007 could have been added in an update) but they won't do it.

Change the music the next logical step would be change the tron vid, instead of having a flashing wwe logo or some random wrestlers vid that just detracts from your creation. I mean how good would it be to be able to record vids of your created wrestler doing moves and adding text etc and having it play on the tron as your created wrestler makes his entrance?

When you look at it though wrestling games never really do change that much from year to year, if they did offer DLC for live points id say they'd be stuck for adding new features to the next game iteration. Which might be a foot up the ass for them to put extra work into the next game to make it stand out, doubtful though.

As previously stated the DLC would work quite well if they say released one package every month with say 4 wrestlers, 1 legend and 3 active members of the roster.

They could easily make a lot of money out of it too by having it something along the lines of

Wtf happened in that video with the rude awakening, ok he hits him with the neck breaker, some random shit then rude gets up the turnbuckle and does an elbow drop he seems to barely hit the mat then it jumps into a sneaky pin sequence..so the elbow drop (which clearly hit) just didn't do anything?

I noticed it, and beleive its a reversal of any 'striking move' that can be turned to a possum pin. which makes no sense unless its a move from the ground.

Makes as much sense as a legdrop off the top rope somehow being countered with knees to the gut. :wtf: The logical counter would be to roll out of the way, i guess attaching a roll animation to a counter would have set the game back 6 months though. :wavesad:

I didn't see all the instruction videos, but I just wish they had it like 07 rather than by wrestling style. Also lol @ CM Punk making HHH Submit in them.
Just had my first match, no idea what the controls were, loading time is still pretty piss poor, but HBK and Flair looked alright, and the weapons looked cool, as is selecting them under the ring. No idea how to grapple properly yet, wish they'd stuck to 07's scheme.

This is awful. 24/7 mode is shit, just the worst thing I've ever played in a wrestling game. Results count for nothing as emails will come through mocking you for losing when you won.... Gameplays shite and the only saving grace is the ECW match.

I feel bad wasting a DVD+R ON THIS SHIT.

I'd prefer that version too. But I guess their logic is that with more recent legends, they have to give them an older look to make them feel more like legends, rather than something we saw 3 or 4 years ago.

It should have done a lot worse believe me. Here's an average 24/7 mode storyline, I'll detail the whole progress:

RAW after Cyber Sunday. Stupid backstage thing while JR and Raw talk about the start of the show. These are random and have no bearing on whats happening. J.R. welcomes us to Smackdown! (Yup... Subtitle even confirms it :|) and talks about Cyber Sunday. I have a match against Shawn Michaels tonight. Bored of playing matches, I pick to play as Shawn and give myself a cheap DQ win.

After the match Dreamer leads Lashley out and talks about how ECW is the dominant brand and Lashley could beat anyone.

Vince brings out the "WWE Champion" Batista (Uh, World Heavyweight Champ actually) and calls me the World Heavyweight Champ (No, WWE Champ, dick) and at Survivor Series, it will be a triple threat with all the champs for each of the brand.

Shane leaves me a message saying that not every McMahon backs Batitsta and I'll be getting an interesting call.

Next week, I have a match against Batista, non-title. I win, nothing interesting happens.

Mid-week I get a message from Dreamer saying I will pay for not accepting their offer. I never got an offer and I've set it up so if I have a message, I'll get a warning message about proceeding with the days events, so it never came through.

Raw, I have a non-title match against Kenny Dykstra. I win it and then confetti is coming from the roof and J.R. and King are so happy that I didn't lose the title to ECW (ignoring the fact it was non-title and Kenny is on Smackdown....). King is very glad that I have ECWs help at the PPV because I won that match.

Another cutscene, Dreamer runs me over in his car and Lashley beats me up. Dreamer bitches about me getting Lashley out of the main event.... Again, no choice on that.

I get a message from Shane saying I should have accepted the offer from ECW and he worked hard to make that deal. Shanes not even been on camera yet....

Survivor Series starts, the main-event is now a Handicap match with me and Lashley teaming up against Batista for the WWE championship. Go to PPV hype video and J.R. is talking about a triple-threat match with all 3 titles on the line.....

And I'm about to do this match now. BTW, it's all like this, it's not just a messed up storyline that made it through testing....

Post match, it says I've won the World Heavyweight Championship as well although it's not referenced in my profile anywhere and Lashleys involvement has been forgotton by JR and King. Also, Lashley hasn't left the ring nor is he in the ring. He vanished....

EDIT: Got a message the day after from Coach saying I can either keep the WWE championship and stay on Raw, or go to Smackdown with the WHC. I also had a message saying that I had a salary bonus of $1 a year.....

I'll reserve judgement until I have played it, however watching some of the videos on YouTube, the selection in music this year really is poor. Thank God that custom soundtrack is available for the 360, because if it wasn't, the only song I could tolerate hearing would be 'Get Out Alive' by Three Days Grace.

Something else I noticed, a few people have drooled over the Rated RKO finisher. In my opinion, that's nothing compared to the Knee Facebuster. Something that's so simple, but is effective and appears devastating.

Played tonight for a while, seems to be a lot of hit detection issues, was swinging a "trash can" about like a loon earlier and every time it looked like it hit it was just sort of sliding off the opponent. Weapons on the mat create invisible walls that you have to walk around, can't remember if it was like that in 07, if so theres something that makes it even more annoying this year.

Grappling detection issues as well, i tried an ultimate control grapple with khali, the opponent was outside of the grapple range and khali missed the grapple but somehow ended up with him grappled anyway. Ive also been standing behind opponents who have just got off the mat and tried a quick grapple with my arm clipping through their head but the grapple refused to connect.

Ai also seems pretty stupid, in hardcore matches they just go for random walks around the ring, one time masters had me in a total control move for a frontslam or a fallaway slam, instead of doing anything he just stood with me for maybe 15 seconds then dropped me due to exhaustion, :wtf:

The game does feel really clunky, the demo actually felt better to me for whatever reason. As said above theres just no flow in the game, everything feels laboured and akward. And the new walking animations..well you seen them in the dmeo, looks like they got a brush pole lodged up their asses.

I was trying out a fatal fourway match and it seemed like i couldn't choose who to fight, the back button didn't seem to do anything and your focus would randomly change when you got close to someone..which sounds good but its a pain in the ass if theres a few people bunched together.

I'd still give nothing more than to have VO taken out completely for SVR09. Even though the storylines were always recurring, I played HCTP's season about a dozen times because you could shift the rosters and always wound up feuding with new people. Now with the storage power of 360 and PS3, you could have a similar season but with even more different storylines.

I'd say positive. I'm really enjoying high flyer and hardcore. Conchairto and putting the chair on someones throat and stomping on it are incredible. I can't work out how to face someone else though. The back button worked in the demo, but just seems to do stamina now....

Played this alittle more earlier and got three red lights, although after taking the leads and cooling fan out, it seems to be ok.

24/7 is average, I'm really not liking the way you build up your caw attributes, especially the strength, they get reversed almost everytime due to A) No strength to begin with and B) Low stamina. Will press on with it though, even if its just to try and get the stats.

I'm liking the fighting styles, they make sense.

Still trying to work out how to set your attire for entrance only etc. Necklaces are still painted on to the skin, which is awful because Def Jam were doing 3d jewlery(and 3d facial hair, which is still missing) back in the ps2 days. So alot of work to be done there. I'm loving exhibition and all the match types. Just they took a step back with 24/7 imo.

You still need to press right stick to cycle through the match/cutscene/entrance thing but instead of having a list where you can see which has what, it just shows up in the list. You need to delete that stuff you dont want in your match or cutscene, very confussing and annoying.

Started 24/7 with my CAW. Trying to build up strength is pissing me off. 3 minutes to try and hurt the opponent long enough to do a bunch of ultimate grapple moves is just frustrating.

EDIT- Aha! The strength training is actually piss easy if your guy has a Powerhouse fighting style. I just did lots of low impact grapples and irish whips to get my meter up, saved the fighting icon, then if done quick enough you can get 3 ultimate grapple moves in before the rampage icon burns out. Then repeat. I think it was 5 ultimate grapples you need to do.

I'm not too sure on important music, but if you wanna import music you have to:

1. Rip a track to your hard drive
2. Create a playlist with only that song in it
3. Pick the playlist on the CAW screen.

The mp3 system is pretty annoying, you have to create a new playlist for EVERY fucking song.... how come raw 2 on the xbox just let you access the hard drive and select any tune you wanted?

Also is anyone getting momentary pauses\hitches in the gameplay? They've reduced the load times so i'll asume they done that by streaming the commentary during the match, on occasion you'll be doing a move or something and get a split second freeze in the gameplay, like the games accessing the disc for more commentary audio. Thought it might be a disc problem but a friend of mine with a 360 has the same issue so i have to assume its more widespread than just 2 consoles.

I'm quite getting into 24/7 if I'm honest. Yes there are a few mistakes, but as a caw, I'm enjoying building up and earning respect etc.

King of the Ring is fun, when you win you get a crowning ceremony with a diva of your choice. It then creates a stable automatically with the two of you with a Booker/Sharmel type entrance.

Main problems include: I still can't work out how to face someone else without walking right up to them and the computer doing it for you when its too late. And I'm pretty sure there must be a manual way to do it because the computer characters target indicator flick around quite often.

Another thing is they still haven't fixed the whole 'No Online' thing. I gave my CAW one tattoo on his shoulder, and suddenly I get 'N/A Online' in the corner. Its bullshit that they can't fix this.

Question for anyone doing 24/7 as a CAW - All of my entrance gear, pyro and video has gone. Is this normal, like just while you're a rookie or something?

B.) In the layer organizer, find the attires you want your C-A-W to use in matches, cutscenes and entrances. For the attires & misc. stuff you want ONLY to be worn in your entrances and/or (whichever your preference may be) cutscenes, select find those items in the checklist and uncheck the Match and/or Cutscene boxes (again whichever suits your preferences best...).

C.) Then, just go ahead and touch up any last details of your C-A-W, and save. Hopefully this advice will help. If not, sorry, at least I tried...:-\

Sorry, I probably wasn't too clear. All my pyro, entrance gear, and my video works in exhibition. But in 24/7 he just comes out with the entrance that I gave him, with the WWE logo tron, no jacket, and no pyro. But because I'm only like 5% towards legend status, I'm thinking maybe I have to get more popular before it activates those things.

Btw, the sooner someone tells me how to face another opponent the happier I'll be :rant:

24/7 is growing on me, especially when I found out you can simulate the training. You get .25% less added on, but still beats the hell out of doing it yourself. Beat Rey for WHC at Cyber Sunday, even though I have a popularity of 3, very odd.

My Tuesday setup has completely changed. I will now only pick up Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Fire Pro Returns, SvR '08(PS3/360), but I won't be playing them right away now as I will not play any game for about a week or two. Because since it's almost 9:00am for me, in 4 ½ hours my grandfather would have been dead for a day, so to show my grandmother respect I'd have to follow the Macedonian customs which are to stay up till after midnight, no radio, no music, and no T.V./Games/Movies for about 2 weeks.

The one thing that pissed me off was that I was looking at the back at the features and didnt see anything about downloadable content....

I was really hoping that perhaps they might release updates now and then adding wresters to the game. That way in a few weeks we might have a Jericho download.....

Well tbh, it would be kinda pointless. Its THQs decision to not have all the wrestlers do VO for playable characters. Hell, they even have people you can't play as doing VO for cutscenes. And with the amount the actual player controlled character actually speaks in season, its bullshit that you can't play as whoever you like.

So yeah, I just think that voice actors wouldn't make any difference. Its THQ that are making the problem. I was against going back to text for a while when VO came onto these games, but after the lack of playable wrestlers this year, I'm all for going back to text.

Gotta admit, some options just not clear despite effort to streamline the interface. The Stamina system is broken, I turn it off now. What do I have to tell me I'm close to breaking down? I do like that this is the first game to take limb damage into gameplay in more ways than "Oh you could submit or get pinned now."

If you can choose what Hardcore moves you could do with the chair (like previous years) please tell me how. Making a big deal out of new weapon grapples and not giving us options to customize that is f'n stupid. Like honest to God game-development stupid.

After some extensive play time with my buds (a mess of 4-Way bouts for each title), I have these comments:

Turn off Stamina, it no longer works in this play engine. Some of you may have already did this and I for one do not miss it.

Possum Pin is the greatest way to win a match, but I still don't understand it being a High Flyer thing.

Doesn't pay to be a Showman at all; more risks than rewards.

A nice long 4plyr Ladder Match is still the most fun gametype in a wrestling game.

The targeting system is trash and I'd love to hear the reason for taking out the Manual 1/2 options. we need some type of Afterthoughts interview for that and a number of other odd and disappointing exclusions.

Yeah i think targeting is my biggest issue too. But thats the only big problem. 24/7 is still screwed up. Normally on these games I'll plough straight through season and unlock everything, but this year I've only been playing it on and off, but mostly playing exhibition.

If they'd kept targeting in, and left season mode alone, or even put it back to text, this game would be great.

How do you powerbomb someone onto the steel steps?
And I still can't grab a sign from the crowd! (never managed to do it in 07 either)

You have to do the Ultimate Control Powerbomb (The Lesnar Style one, not the Crucifix style one) and then walk over to dislodge stairs, and Powerbomb them on it...however never gave me my archivement for doing so.

I've been playing this fora few days now. I think its great. The new fighting styles are great (High flyer is awesome), theyve added some new match types, like Beat the Clock, 24/7 mode so far is fun due to the adding of achievements, nearly every move from the RKO to a freakin headlock takedown has been reanimated, even the hard irish whip into the buckle has been reanimated. The submission thing is great, the ultimate control reversal system is great, I just think that there are alot of positive elements about this game. THere are a few cons that I can live with, like mentioned before, possum pin....anybody can do that, and hardcore moves like a DDT onto a chair......anybody can do that....but its liveable.

THe only real complaint I have is the roster. How come no Highlanders, Cade and Murdoch, Deuce and Domino, WGTT, and Santino Marella?

Other than that, I'm really enjoying this. It doesnt get old when I become the Sandman and smash the shit out of Kelly Kelly with a chair :rofl:

So I'm US Champ with CM Punk, right? And my 'buddy' is WWE Champ with Randy Orton. He's talking down to me because in the last big session between us guys I came out with one title while he got one of the big two. I tell him its not the title, its the prestige (I already defended my US Title, he's a new champ) and my belt has more prestige than his whatever level it is. He gets big-headed and offers me a challenge against him playing as Edge with Orton (CPU) in his corner. If I, as Punk, can beat Edge I can face Orton for his WWE Title. I'm like shit-yeah. If I were to lose Edge would have a free challenge for my US Title. I was down for the stipulations. The game was on.

Edge(Buddy) vs CM Punk(Me)
He's using his Dirty Style to the FULLEST, doing everything it could offer as well as using Orton all tactical wise. I use my Submission Style to ease my limb damage and soften him up for an Anaconda Vice. After some of the damndest cheating done against me, I get him in a Dragon Sleeper with Ultimate Submission activated. Right as he taps he gets Orton to distract the reff. I'm pissed. What do I do? I lock it on again, and this time the reff sees me making Edge tap.

CM Punk(Me) w/HBK(CPU) vs Randy Orton(Buddy) w/Edge(Human Controlled!!) Title vs Title
Its main event time, and this cowardly sack of crap gets another dude to play as his ring enforcer while I got the CPU playing as HBK in my corner. I mix up my attacks and wait till his limbs are colored before I lock any submissions, while he waits for the perfect chance to steal a win. I lock three Dragon Sleepers in a row (all broken up by Edge) before he retreats out of the ring. I see him going under the ring for a chair and I try to get a free shot in during the animation, but that was his intent. The second I make it outside of the ring he smashes me with a chairshot, ending the biggest match since we got this game with a DQ.

As you can imagine I'm pissed and can't wait til he faces me in an Extreme Rulez Match... not even for the title either. He needs a lesson in humiliation that tapping out can bring. And I will try to take that title with Punk real soon.

Yeah, just not as happy as most years. Usually I'm excited to get it when it comes out, and is for the most part the only game I play for the 1st few months. Where as with this one, I can tell its a good game, and it is fun. But it just lacks that special something. So this year I've been playing Assassins Creed, PES, as well as PC games instead of it.

So to sum up, I'm happy with it, just not as much as I should be.

Most of that is true, but if logic, and the stubbornness of the game on certain issues is any indicator, no matter which 2 I choose and sign for 1 Year, I will still have to go day-by-day...at least that would be the way it seems. Maybe you've played through that way in GM mode, and if so, and your advice works, I'm sorry I doubted you, but this OBV wasn't that great of a game to begin with.

I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that the developers are lazy douchebags who will take massive steps backward for every small step forward. For each new feature, an old feature is retardedly downgraded, and the commentary is going to be the same fucking obnoxious a;jokdfj;ajf for the rest of my life.

I don't watch wrestling at all now. Haven't watched it regularly since 03'. However, I always played the Smackdown games, then later the Smackdown vs. Raw games, and when I saw the new one at Blockbuster, I had to rent it.

There's so many wrestlers now that I've never heard of. And all the older wrestlers I liked..Ric Flair, The Undertaker, and Kane were all on Smackdown. And I'm a Raw guy and wanted to wrestle on Raw...and I don't recall, but I think I used HBK as my main wrestler last year, and I wanted someone different, so I picked Triple H. I'm just beat and defended the title at Chris Masters at New Years Revolution PPV, and I first won the belt at Vengeance, and I've had it since.

It's a pretty fun game. I had trouble getting into it at first since I'm not really a wrestling fan anymore, but as time went by, I started getting into it. It's been fun beating down those young punks.

I wish there were more legends though, and that Hulk Hogan was included.
