right, so im trying to install win 2000 over XP, but it seems it doesnt work that way. I have to format my C:/ windows xp thingy so i can install 2000. I have like those reformat disks. So can someone link me/detail me how i can format?

you need a windows 98 boot disk, you can find one here (http://www.bootdisk.com). once you have make a bootdisk restart and put the disk into the Disk drive... then just "Format c:"
I think that's all that's to it.

uhh yeah, thats another thing. I'm not posting from my computer. Mine doesnt have internet, so...is there any other way around this? :|
Download it on the computer you're on to a floppy disk. You need the floppy disk in the first place.
Put it in, restart the computer, press F8 to go into bios, search through and choose Boot 1st: Floppy, wait for the DOS field to come up and type Format C:
Done.

any 98 bootdisk SE or regular it doesn't matter.
