So, Piper's gonna have a new "protege" sometime soon. Does anyone else forsee Sean O'Haire making his monumental return? Or did Cousin Sal sign a long term contract?

I miss Sean O'Haire...too bad he wants Brian Kendrick's ass too much.

I'm guessing it will be somebody who's been sniffing around the WWE fringe for a while now and will thusly be repackaged as "young Piper."

Carlito is the way to go.
I wouldn't be surprised if they repackaged one of the Highlanders, and that's the obvious one from a gimmick standpoint.

So Piper's actually sticking around now? That's a good thing (unless he wrestles).
If they really want to utilise his verbal skills on a full time basis, may I suggest he replace Jerry Lawler as Raw's colour analyst.

I actually think that Colt Cabana and Piper would be a funny ass combination but after seeing what Piper did to a very, VERY promising Sean O'haire gimmick I wouldn't wish that upon anyone I actually like, much less Colt.

Isnt Piper's fault the guy couldnt talk or do anything good once he was live and not cutting pre-taped promos.

No, it's the writers' fault that the guy wasn't given much chance, then watered down, and eventually pushed aside completely.

Piper Rambles way too much when he talks. It would be nice if he stuck around for a while. I'd like for him to be the main WWE go to guy. He could do backstage interviews, commentate (every now and then if he can stick to the point), announce (sure he doesn't have a good announcer voice, but he'd be a good fill in for a night or two).
I'd rather not have him wrestle. He looks to be in a lot better shape now than he's been in at least 5 years.

Piper was the original heel colour commentator (before Ventura) and also made an entertaining (if a little overbearing) face announcer in the early 90s too. The man can talk. And he'd be better than current Lawler... maybe even bring out the competitive side in Lawler to force him to up his game... perhaps return 'The King' to his heel leanings.
