He may not be the man anymore but damn, he's a quality hockey player and he's sure helping the Oil right now as they struggle and perhaps make it into the playoffs...

Once again, thanks Slats...:D

Yea, I remember that year. I believe the Flames and Oilers played each other in the first round and the Oilers were ousted in the first round...:wtf:

But I could be off a year or something :D

Nedved with another goal last night - Oilers beat the Kings 3-1

Next - The Yotes....:foc:

He'll be back in New York next year, or at least anywhere but here. Can't imagine Edmonton dishing out the cash for his contract.

Nedved used to play for the Pens. Then they traded him away like everyone else

Actually, I was reading the Journal this weekend and GM Kevin Lowe won't speculate but he was quoted in the paper saying that Nedved was not a rental player and that he wanted to keep him. The only way I see that is if the Oil make it to the first round and they use the money they were going to pay Salo with next season as Nedved's salary. A third possibility is that they would stretch the payments out. Either way, I wouldn't complain if he returned next season...:D

BTW, 2 assists and 1 sweet goal again last night. 13 points in 13 games...liking him a lot more than Oates...

yeah, I would put alot of the oilers success lately on him, he's been playing awesome since being traded.
