Christian's match with Swagger was much better than Matt's.

Well, it wasn't like he was in a terrible position or anything. Little Bastard jumped the gun on the interference.

wow...I didnt think they could waste Christians comeback...but they did a great job rendering him useless and uninteresting.

Not a bad match, Christian seemed to a have a little bit of ring rust. But overall, not bad. And I'm not surprised at the interference, I figured it would happen since Finlay has Swagger at the ppv.
Hey be fair. As INNO pointed out, he's got two less sides of the ring to work with now :shifty:

I just got a semi-erection:
Let's say Christian wins the ECW Title at WrestleMania from Jack Swagger. This leads to a backstage segment between Edge, who is defending the WWE Title against Triple H that night, and Christian. The younger Christian offers the older Edge luck in his match against Triple H, and says that it will be a great moment if they're both holding World Title gold at the end of the night.
Triple H defeats Edge to win his eighth WWE Title that night, and Edge is none too happy. On SmackDown!, Christian (who can appear on any show he wants) puts his hand on Edge's shoulder, and tells him that maybe things will go better next time. Basically, this sort of stuff mounts and mounts, until Edge has had enough and makes the journey over to Sci-Fi to try and win the ECW Championship from Christian.
This would make Edge the first man to have held the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, ECW Championship, Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship, World Tag Team Championship and WWE Tag Team Championship. Throw in his King of the Ring and Money in the Bank wins, and all he has left to do in his WWE career is win the Royal Rumble.
Basically, I think it's just an awesome way to start an Edge vs. Christian feud, and really give ECW a boost.

Christian and Elijah Burke would have been hot. They need to rehire him.

Elijah Burke, along with Gail Kim and Shantelle Taylor, is just one of those releases I never understood. From any perspective. Yes, the WWE most certainly does need to re-hire Elijah Burke.

Dammit! It figures the one night I had to work later than normal everything happens. I got home just in time to see the shillelagh sweep on Swagger.

I got in just in time to see the replay. I'm upset I missed it actually happening, but I am SO FUCKING EXCITED. (And I'm glad I remembered ECW was on tonight.)
I liked his match with Swagger. And initially didn't like the fact he needed interference to win it, but it does make sense now that I think about it.

Looks like they're going with a triple threat angle for WM
I would love to see that. Mainly because I think Christian would win the belt in that scenario.

I would just like to say that I was glad to tune in to ECW from the beginning of the show so I didn't miss Christian's entrance and debut. and actually I don't think it was that bad of a return.
I mean if it was on Smackdown then it would have been spoiled tomorrow and the return wouldn't of been as huge... and then if it happened on Raw... who would it be against and chances are it would be buried underneath Legacy/Shane/Steph/Cena/whoever else
So at least on ECW it got the show altering effect that it deserved.

Why aren't you watching, Tazz Dan?
ECW doesn't get shown until later in the week in Australia, and all my mates with pay tv are away at the moment.
Another YouTube moment for me to enjoy I guess.

Turned on ECW just to see what was going on out of boredom and Christian was on. SWEET. Wish I saw his return from when his music hit though.
Interesting they put him on ECW. I will be watching (DVRing at least) until Mania.

Have no problems with Christian's return. Still think it's weird that Finlay, the face, needs cheating and interference every week, though.

Good thing ECW isn't canon so Christian can make his real debut later on Raw.

So ECW is live?
So ECW is live?
It hasn't been the last 3 or 4 weeks or so, but it was today.

Does that mean they changed the timeslot specifically for this week? Or was it the start of going back live?

No, they changed the timeslot a few months ago to cater to the PG audience.
I think I read somewhere that they're gonna stop doing back-to-back Smackdown tapings, so yeah I think ECW is gonna be live for the time being.

If they're going to focus on Matt vs Jeff for mania, this could be good. It'd give the ECW title some credibility, and give Christian a chance to be re-integrated.
After mania, he could very well still be the "attacker", or be involved in those storylines. This is likely because those potential plans have been delayed in favor of Matt v Jeff and Edge v HHH. It gets him back out there with the crowd, and on the mania card for now. I'd much rather see the ECW title on Christian than most other people.
I'd also much rather see Christian on ECW than in TNA.
