I was hoping that would just be a very bad joke. But man... that is just... :wtf:
This is the kind of thing that happens when states don't sanction MMA. How the fuck can this even be allowed? Maynard can't even block a punch and it's not MMA when you can't kick him since he is classed as a downed opponent.
Credit to him for his acheivements but he shouldn't be allowed to fight MMA.

This.
Also, I don't know who to be more pissed off at: The trainers making money off of him when he can't really do much (win by repeated takedowns? Some GnP?) or the promoter making money off of him and making a mockery of MMA in the process.
The losers? Ultimately this guy's well being (he's lucky this opponent had no striking power.) and anyone unlucky enough to be booked to face him. I mean how can you come out of a fight against this guy looking good?

CRIPPLE FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...what? Too soon?

I'd actually have less of a problem with this but there is nobody with the wrestling ability of Maynard out there to make anything competitive.

Pretty much summed up my thoughts on this..

It was like a human fighting a headless pitbull.

How do you know? There could be a bodyless person who only has a head who is an amateur headbutting champion.

Could be but his wrestling still would suck and the wrestling part was my point :)

It did look alot like a Jack russell scooting about the cage.
So, what would be his offence then? Like, he must have a method of winning a fight, or it really would be rediculous.
You know, because it isn't rediculous yet...

Yeah this is just plain stupid, its not just the promoters fault, this guy was pushing everybody hard to get a match. http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=89595

I'd like to see him verse Lesnar and get thrown over the cage.

He is an exciting fighter who will bring in buys. Why hasn't Dana hired and pushed this guy yet?

He is actually a very good grappler who is very good at submissions believe it or not.

If they want him to win a fight, they'll have to feed him someone retarded enough to not simply stay out of his way and tag him over and over again.
They tried that with this guy. He had a 0-2 record going in.
Klye Maynard can't fight MMA. Simple as that really.

You would just lift him up and run him straight into a post or something. Or throw him in the air and tray to catch him with a volley.

Seriously that would be hilarious!

I am going to email his people. If I can get paid to fuck up a guy with no limbs, i'll take it.
While you're at it, ask if I could volley him.

He should fight Kimbo Slice. It seems like it's be such an even fight between the 2. I mean, with this kid having no limbs and Kimbo having no skills...

He was actually a really good amature wrestler that graduated high school the same year as me. I got to meet him at the High school nationals my senior year and hes a real cool guy. He can like lift 300 lbs on a bench bar with his upper arms like using his shoulder muscles or something. He also wins matches! He dresses himself, brushes his own teeth... He can do everything a normal human can. Hes really amazing to be quite honest.
He can do everything a normal human can.
He can't pick his nose, give me the finger or defend a kick to the face though.

He probably has figured out a way to pick his nose

He couldn't do a chokeslam either.
So that's 'The Undertaker' off the list of possible Halloween guises.

.................Wow, just wow.......................
For the showcase that is pro wrestling he would be a draw.
For the sport of MMA, he's a punching bag for christ's sake.

Pro wrestling he would not be a draw. The novelty would wear off after one match. Just like it did in MMA. And they already had Zach Gowen with one leg and he drew nothing.

Well, its hard to draw when your career highlight is being involved in the Mr. America storyline and being thrown down stairs by Brock Lesnar.

Hate to bump this, but it just occurred to me that I've met Kyle. Was always around the dining hall freshman year at UGA. I watched the video weeks ago no realizing I knew who he was.
Really nice guy. Just thought I'd bring that up.
