MGS and FF7 aside, my PSP has been collecting dust. I know I can't speak for everyone, but while I am amazingly excited about the new MGS (Big Boss FUCK YEAH), I can't help but feel that the PSP just needs to die and let the new generation take over.

Again, just my take on it, but aside from a few games, the PSP is a lot more shine than substance.

There were several points during that conference I got myself ready for Sony, but nothing really got my full attention until Guardian and GoW3.

Still, gonna see if I can re-get a PSP with a UMD drive when they come down in price, if only for MGS. I think I'll get an old PS3 when the slims come out (I know they were not announced, they'll be at TGS, with a price cut) and hopefully lower cost

At first was thinking "oh look another mediocre 3-d castlevania." But watching the trailer, it looks like they might have finally got it right here, as that looked really good. And Kojima Production's involvement is promising.

I'm liking the soundtrack, if it is any indication of what the rest will be like. Less gothic, more epic. Good stuff.

I don't think Kratos is a good fit for Soul Calibur. I mean, It's gonna make people buy it (OMFGOMFGOMFGOMFGOMFG KRAAAATOOSS *splooge*) but consider that a ton of the gameplay in GOW is based around dismembering things, and then assaulting said things with their own dismembered parts. Sticking him in the SC universe where he is quite obviously not going to pull off both of Cassandra's arms & spin them like windmills is going to result in dissapointment for the fanbase.

Meh, they're never going to have MY Soul Calibur Splooge char anyway.

You're right as far as content goes, but Kratos fits in regards to general themes. This is why he was shown battling Sophie - the Greek Gods thing.
