I am really interested to see where this Donald Trump shit goes. It seems like Vince is "retiring" from TV, and eventually Shane/Steph will buy back RAW from Trump and start the 'New McMahon' era in WWE.

Despite the 15 pages of bitching, I actually didn't think it was that bad of a show. Storyline-wise things are messy (I do hate the Trump thing, but I was more upset over Adamle getting the job), but I thought the wrestling was good tonight for a change.

Jericho/Mysterio was very good, and I like how those two keep thinking of original ways to end their matches and work in a few moves that usually they wouldn't pull out in the usual formulaic TV style. Mickie/Rosa was fine for a woman's match, but I'm biased because I've got a crush on Rosa. The Fourway wasn't as bad as Fourways usually are, and I was impressed that Orton won clean. I also thought the triple threat was pretty entertaining, and Punk came off looking strong in a title defense for once, taking a nasty looking bump and winning with a busted knee when it seemed unlikely he'd pull it out. Even the battle royal wasn't bad in terms of making Legacy look strong for awhile.

I do think this was one of those instances of one really bad stinkbomb messing up the perception of the entire show. The Trump thing sucks, no doubt, but there were some redeeming things about this show. I'm not a fan of three hour Raws, but this wasn't as bad and plodding as others.

Then again...

This isn't the commercial free RAW, next week is.

RGS you are being too kind. The wrestling was good, but that alone can't save this show. Jericho/Rey is expected at this point. I'm glad they didn't dissappoint. The Four way was good only for Orton going over clean. Besides the finish, that four way was a piss break. We were all pining for the announcement, so we all wanted that match to end quickly. The Three way dance was great, but that's expected too. Edge Hardy truly have a magic chemistry. Punk couldn't fuck that up.

The best FRESH parts of the show that was entertaing was The Punk interview, and the Miz segment. I just felt a stale air around this epic three hour fail. King of the Ring would have been great.

I don't care what anyone else says. I think the selling of RAW to Donald Trump was not only a surprise, but something fresh and we don't know what will be coming in the next month or so. Sure, the bookers are probably still the same but i'm liking this concept. I mean c'mon, Flair? HBM? Been there, done that. HBM should be wrestling classic matches to help the younger guys and Flair should either stay on TV as a manager or retire like he said he was.

Sometimes, i think people are WAAAY too picky and hard to please. It is not the attitude era anymore people. Anyway, i'm also liking CM Punk's slowww turn and i can see Edge slowing becoming the face when Punk goes full 360. The only problem is that Edge is so good as a heel that idk when the turn will happen.

Definitely thought RAW was very interesting. Glad to see Orton get the strap back, HHH...well hopefully this angle will mold out to Orton somehow coming out on top. I didn't catch the Santino backstage thing with Vince but im sure it was hilarious. All in all, nice show for me. Just wish they would've (if they did excuse me) had John Morrison on there. The guy is my favorite wrestler and i'm getting behind him, no homo, like i did The Rock in '97.

Seriously, even when he came back and everyone was complimenting him for how much weight he'd lost, he was still 150lbs heavier than during his physical prime in 1995... in the 15 months since he returned, he has slipped back to nearly the same condition he was in when he left.

Come on, champ. I know this is wrestling and exaggeration is the norm. But the Show returned at 435lbs. You're telling me he weighed 285lbs in his prime? Taker weighs more than that now and he's a good 3 or more inches shorter and he himself has lost a tonne of weight since his real prime of about 1999.
