For some reason this game had so much hype to it, then it came out and no one gave a shit. My blockbuster only got one copy too, those dumb bastards.

Yeah, but they have a bad history of losing DVD's, and other netflix stuff here in my Dorm. I tried it for 2 months and it gave me a headache.

I like how every time you meet some one the voice in your head is like "hes week kill him" or "he will only slow you down kill him" then his wifes voice is in your head "give him a chance" or "he can help you"......I like to just blast them and listen to her yell "your hurting him stop" damn voices

The same thing happens to me everytime I'm put in a group project at school.

Damn, I have been wanting to play this game ever since I first heard of it like 2 months ago. The graphics look ok but the storyline and everything else about it looks so bad ass. It looks like it might be one of the freakishly scariest games out on the market today. I cant wait till I finally get to play it.

I realize I am about three months too late in posting here but I got this game recently and I love it.
So far, I have only killed inmates, hacks, and demons of course who pose a threat to me and attacked me first or the person I am protecting. And I have helped prisoners and guards alike escape.
I like how you have the choice of making Torque into any type of a person you want: A psycho killer who murdered his whole family or an innocent family man who was framed or a little of both.
I am a good guy though and I always try to help people. So far every time I have come across a chance to be a stand up guy, I have taken it and like I said I have helped and protected all convicts and staff members who pose no threat.
I always listen to the wife's voice over the demon's when coming across someone I could kill.
I admit, I like playing "the hero" in The Suffering and doing what Superman would do.

Hey, Manhunt was cool! LOL. :D
Although it seems that playing bad guys is a popular thing with video games these days, and The Suffering at least gives you a choice. And as I have said, I am old-school and I like being a good guy.
Although my only complaint is that it can get repetitive sometimes, and it can get real hard. Because you don't know where to turn next. But all it requires is a little patience and creativity and you'll figure out. Or you can just cheat and get the walkthrough online. ;)
Protecting people can be tough too. I can see why others who play this just kill em'. But I am too much of a sap for that so I gotta watch their back. I wish I could yell at them to get behind me or stay down and leave the fighting to me.
And when they die, I always feel bad like I failed the mission. Even though protecting them is just an extra thing and is really not that important but being the self-righteous fool I am....I gotta re-start it.
But the horror and the action and the story itself make up for the few flaws.
Funny tidbit that happened to me a few days ago: I was playing The Suffering at night time while it was thundering and lighting outside.
At one point, there was this LOUD thunder and at the exactly same time, a huge demon jumped from out of nowhere and attacked me in the game. I couldn't help but laugh after I wasted him. It was SO awesome. :D
