Good episode with a shitty fight. So many lols though throughout the show, I can get over the sloppy fight.
Highlights:
The Gi was f'n amazing! Stole the show for sure, and has made me a life long fan of Wes.
Rampage doing the Rashad Stanky leg Ko impersonation, and the Wampage The Whining Bitch/ Gayshad Evans.
Matt sneaking the letter to the other team, then being made to look like a stupid bitch again. Also Matt turning out to be authentically batshit crazy. Then him blowing up and spazzing out during training, after he was supposedly sore or something. That boys cheese has definitely fell off his cracker.
Finally the replay of the fight with the extra sound effects to make their punches look like they weren't thrown by 12 year old girls had me cracking up. Dana skeeting himself about how hard and brutal they where punching each other was also great.

I'd say the best part was how even the coaches and teams would get real quiet for a few seconds then start yelling again then get quiet when they realized how bad the fight was just a couple minutes in.
The whole thing just had an awkward feeling to it.

it's embarassing to see, especially when these guys are fighting for one of the better contracts in the UFC. given that it was pretty much a boxing match for all intents and purposes too, it shames MMA as a whole when there's a whole boxing vs. mma debate going on. the only boxing matches i ever saw with guard that terrible were rocky films.

Also, I think the guys from Team Rampage should have taken 'Shad up on his offer. They might actually BENEFIT from having a coach.

Here's a good reason: Hype up Marcus Jones. He's a big guy (bigger than Kimbo), an interesting character (like Kimbo), and he has something called TALENT. He earned his fucking spot.
Another reason: Hype up the Dana vs. Roy feud. I honestly like how Roy isn't sucking at the teet of the Vince McMahon of MMA, just like everyone else. That's what Dana hates. That and the fact that he isn't the prototypical mold for MMA fighters (hell, THAT'S a marketing tool in and of itself) and that he killed the Kimbo Hype-train (which is ANOTHER marketing tool in and of itself).

I'm hoping for a finals consisting of some combo of Wren/Marcus/Nelson personally. Saddens me that everybody I want to win has to fight Nelson so early though. I didn't expect Kimbo to win, but I would of liked to see him advance a time or two just for fun. I just hope Wren can avoid getting caught in that crucifix like Kimbo did.

I can't help but think that Dana White has his hands all over the Wren/Nelson fight selection.
He claimed that something about Roy rubs him the wrong way, as if he doesn't know. And it's not the "He's Cocky" bullshit he's trying to say it is. By that logic, Junie Browning would have been long gone. Dana's fucking transparent as all hell. Let me spell it out.
1. He's fat. Why else would a former IFL Heavyweight Champion be in the Ultimate Fighter, and not in the UFC already?
2. He won't kiss Dana's ass. 'Shad felt he had an ego problem at first, but then pointed out that everything he did up to this point was on his own. Be it training, booking fights, getting sponsors, you name it. That's not the kind of person who's gonna suck up. That pisses Dana and his planet-sized ego up. Add to that, he isn't gonna listen to Dana when he tells you how he wants you to fight (See the past few fights of Sherk, Sean for an example of the above).
3. He derailed the Kimbo Hype-Train. Bitch about how he did it all you want, but he did it. And he made the Internet Sensation named Kevin Fergusson look completely impotent in the process. Slice couldn't get out of Crucifix, and he lost the fight. Do you know how much money that cost White? He seriously could have hyped Big Baby or Nelson himself more to prevent this disaster.
The thing is, there's really only 2 guys on Nelson's level: Wren and Jones. Honestly, if Nelson beats Wren, I wouldn't doubt him somehow getting matched up with Marcus Jones in the Semis. And the finals sucking ass as a result.

Seriously, though, Roy Nelson will look damned smart if it is indeed the case.
Doesn't matter what Nelson did. He's still an ass and rubs people the wrong way. You can even see it in the comment his own coach Rashad said to him during the fight selection.
And I think Rashad has become cocky and instigated the last thing. He could have made the offer and then back off but he didn't and he keeps on talking after. Rampage walked away but Rashad kept on talking. In fact I think he starts most of the shit and Rampage can only stand up for himself.

I think Rashad starts a majority of the verbal exchanges with small comments here and there. Not saying Rampage is any more mature about it but Shad definitely provokes the shit out of him.
See, I'm not the only one who sees it. I didn't say it's okay but Rampage is Rampage. What can you really expect from him? He's not a coach and he goofs off when things aren't serious. Then you have Rashad who is trying to help the fighters and acting like a coach but at the same time he's being cocky and full of himself because his team is 7-1 and provokes Rampage.
It's like an older kid poking a pitbull with a stick and thinks he's okay because the dog is chained up but keeps poking it and all the dog can do is bark. I'm not a Rashad fan but there was one point on the show where I actually started to like him and respect him. Then he keeps doing this stuff and all that went through the window. But I guess the show wouldn't be so entertaining without this stuff going on.

With proper training I think a few of these guys could be decent. Marcus is definitely the big star this year, but I'm also looking at Schoonover, Wren, Demico and the dude who beat him (can never remember the guy's name) as definitely getting into the UFC.

Alright, thought I wouldn't be able to see it but I'm watching it now. Roy won the first round to me for sure. Justin pressed forward more but Roy was great at being evasive and working counter punches. You can tell Roy is a veteran. He knows exactly what the judges want to see.

Yeah, Dana is pretty much being a major biased shithead about it. Justin had some explosive moments but Roy did a masterful job diffusing his momentum by utilizing his jab and his evasiveness.

I thought the first round was very close, but in the last minute Roy won in it my mind as Wren kept swinging and missing.
I really want to see one of these fights this season make the second round without someone with their hands on their hips for half the second round.
Someone should take the Homer Simpson strategy of just taking all the hits for the first round and then in the second just nudge his opponent over. With this group the strategy might just work.

Well, Big Country got past Wren. That thing called "experience" is a bitch. Cardio is a funny thing. It exposes people who look like they're in shape to actually not be and vice versa.
Wren will be back, he's a good fighter and has potential. I think this fight will be a learning experience for him and he'll come back 100x better.
Now, 3 more weeks until we find out about Marcus Jones vs. Roy Nelson in the Semis.

I think all these guys would get WRECKED by the current fighters in the Heavyweight Division. I am trying to picture some of these guys fighting Lesnar, Kongo, Velasquez, Carwin, Nog, Mir, Dos Santos, Herring or even Cro Cop and having it be a close fight, but I can't.
The only one I can see putting up a fight is Marcus Jones. Even then, I was not too impressed with his Zombie-esque stand up.

It's funny how the slob has more stamina than any other fighter on the show. He clearly picked apart Wren, and besides one or two flurry from Wren he dominated. I'll admit I didn't like the dude at first, but he is starting to grow on me. Plus the fact that he is always pissing Dana off is a definite plus.

In the UFC heavyweight division there are not as many lesser known undercard guys to fight from though. Besides these guys fighting each other, the only fights for them are the guys I mentioned. And Maybe that guy that got kicked in the nuts

Easily the best ep of the series so far. Fucking delighted about Big Baby again :D He fucking killed Darrell. lol @ him going after Mitrione as well. My guess for the semis would be Nelson rolling over McSweeney with ease. Never know however. Dunno about Marcus/Brendan, pulling big time for Big Baby though. Gonna check it in a bit/later.

McSweeney has a rather overinflated opinion of himself. He claimed that Nelson never fought anyone with the proficient striking that he has.
So, allegedly, McSweeney is a better striker than Arlovski and Ben Rothwell. Two words come to mind: Bull and Shit.
I was thinking the same thing when he said that. I like how he got all cocky and taunted Nelson then proceeded to get punched in the face.
