Yeah messed up although there was some ambiguity on the 10 minutes for a bit since refs didn't clear up until a while later it was just a normal 10 minute misconduct and not a game misconduct.

Been disappointed by the Bruins today since today could have been something similar to the playoffs against the Candians where they lost in 7 but never gave up which ended up helping them a lot the following year. After the 1st period, they fell flat again and started to do the same stuff that's been causing them problems all year (bad passing or spacing, bad defense, etc).

Like Roy, Hasek, Gretzky, Lemieux to Hockey and The Rock, Austin, HBK and Flair to wrestling they were the best at what they did. There are highly talented players, Ovy, Malkin, Getzlaf, Luongo, Miller, Mason Crosby (yep I said Crosby) but I dare any of you to suggest they are even close to the legends I listed above. Makes me sad, I do like a lot of new players but its depressing watching the old guys go.

You can't really call them "even close" to those guys 5 years into their careers. In 10, 15 years maybe. All of those guys are on the right track to be equal to or better than those legends tho.

Ideally I'll be rooting for Bruins to win the title and if Sharks lose the 1st game against the Avs, they going to lose the series.

This year might be different for a variety of reasons:
1) Last year the Caps lost to the eventual champion Penguins so they want the chance for rvenge should they meet in the 2nd round or conference finals
2) Ovie and Russia had a poor showing in the Winter Olympics compared to how good they were on paper while his main rival ends up winning the gold medal and the game winning goal.
3) Penguins and Crosby might not be as "hungry" to win the title compared to last year's playoffs and I doubt NHL really wants to have Penguins-Red Wings III for the title game.

Unlike the Sharks and their predictable playoff collapses, Capitals really don't have any issues mentally when it comes to the playoffs.

These stats are stupid. What that's saying is that in the last 24 years the best team in the league has won 30% of the time. Is that really that bad? Considering that over half of the league makes the playoffs having a 3/10 chance is pretty good. Which seed has won the most of the other 17 times? Is there any other position with more than 7 wins?

Well at least Crosby didn't win it unanimously. Only thing Ovechkin has going for him for the Hart trophy is that he has a crazy +/- whereas Crosby is like -3 or something. And some people say that Ovechkin should win because he missed like 10 games due to suspension and would have had better numbers, but I think that hurts his case, cause being valuable to the team does not = missing games.

Sedin will get consideration. I think Ovechkin will still win it, because the NHL llikes his *face* in terms of publicity.

Jose and Hasek are the only two that come to mind. Theodore may be a shell of his former self, but he was pretty amazing back then. If he can get to 75% of that former greatness in the playoffs I don't think anyone can stop the Caps.

Interesting series between the Caps and Montreal. I think it will be a lot closer than the odds makers think. Halak can carry the Habs and they are finally getting healthy.

I'm not gonna start or join an argument with anything else but the facts on this matter. I love the Avs, but they have been dominated this entire series. And yes I understand that the next thing out of anyone's mouth is going to be, "They've won two games." Yes, they have. But that does not change the fact that they have been dominated. Both wins were from goals off of a San Jose player, and they have been outshot 174-103 or something like that. Anderson has been brilliant, and the only reason that the Avs weren't swept.

Either way, the winner of this series is the team I'm gonna hope wins the Stanley Cup. Born and raised in San Jose, the Sharks are obviously a part of me. But when I first gained interest in hockey, I liked Quebec too which became the Avalanche so I like them as well. The series has been interesting thus far, and pretty bizarre.
