Final Segment: Eric Bischoff comes down and boy, howdy, is he mad. He calls out Chris Benoit. He did the same thing last night at the house show here in town and he ate Crossface. That was sweet. Foley is called out next and it really does seem like a bunch of high school guys getting called into the pricipal's office. Shawn's the pretty boy kid who always avoids trouble, Benoit's the rugged and tough guy who doesn't take shit, and Foley's the lovable nice guy who just tags along for the experience. Eric announces Evolution vs. Benoit, Michaels, Foley, and Benjamin for next week. Hyping future shows? MADNESS I SAY! Evolution comes in for the donnybrook as HBK eats a spinebuster from Batista. Foley and Orton exit stage left. HBK takes the sledgehammer and Benoit takes a chop block trying to make the save. Foley gets laid out next and Benoit takes a chair shot from HHH. And it just won't be Raw without a Pedigree and indeed Benoit takes the bullet on the chair. It hypes next week AND Backlash at the same time so it's all good.

Overall, nothing too offensive aside from the whole Eugene crap and unfairly short matches. And who did Rhyno piss off? Backlash is shaping up nice and is looking (on paper) like the best Raw PPV so far. A positive step forward this week.

That was a stupid ending... But overall not a bad show. The low point wold have to be Eugene. The pluses IMO would be Regal's return, Shelton's second win in a row, and the announcing of more Backlash matches AND next week's main event which will be sick. Shelton Benjamin should face Batista at Backlash. Neither has an opponent...

I think the rating might go up after 10:00, because the championship game (the only real competition) turned into a blowout quickly.

Probably because Evolution kicked his ass earlier and they are making him out to be too hurt or something.

Well, not a bad RAW, probably not as good as last week though. I gotta say I really like Shelton's music, kinda catchy.

I don't know what to think about the whole "Eugene" angle. I don't even know who he is, but the way it sounds is like the Goldust Tourettes angle from last year.

Already seeing some tension between Trish and Christian. I gotta say I predicted, right when Foley had the box, a 2x4 with barbed wire, but it was a bat, so close. Molly looked pretty hot in her new wig, and like Nidia, it looks that Gail Kim has gotten implants while gone. I like the new recaps of SmackDown and RAW on each others shows now. And it looked like a RAW ending from the past few years where we end with HHH and Evolution beating people down.

And lastly, what have we learned about hometowns within the last month? Benoit and Jericho both are in the US, while Rob Conway is now from Quebec and Gail Kim is now from Korea.

speaking of the 'diva battle royal', that match was horrible. it took longer for the enterances than it took for all but the last two to be eliminated. all the women looked sloppy; ALL the spots looked contrived; lita and trish looked EXTREMELY sloppy in thier match; lita is the worst female wrestler EVER.

Just an afterthought about Raw: Didn't HBK seem a little.......more like a homosexual than usual Monday? The whole "Oh no, I'm scared" thing seemed less like a immature act of rebellion, but more like a queer eye sort of thing. When he said he felt like a schoolboy again, he should have said that he felt like doing a school boy again.
