It saves you from having to fiddle with the sliders to begin with.

When me and my guys do a show we start off with jobber matches to kick it off. Usually one of us has to deliver a massive beating to give the impression of a 'piss break match'. In other cases, when we have our main events and PPVs, we add a lot of semi-staged spots and false finishes to simulate big matches.

The new options regarding how matches are supposed to be directly appeals to us and people who care for that. Yes it is essentially a fighting game handicap slider, so fucking what.

I haven't tried epic mode yet, but it is probably that. So, it's the convenience of not having to do that and then change it every time.

Just got an update for the game. Any idea what it is?

Only thing they announced about it was a specific bug that crashes the game sometimes when using a custom arena in Universe mode. Nothing else specific mentioned.

I know I'm probably missing something really obvious but do you create a title?

you gotta go to like title history or some title menu and then hit lb/rb r1/l1 to move over to the custom title menu

So far I have only been playing through the attitude era mode. I have it beat with the exception of the Jericho match in the off the script part, very frustrating. I really love the game so far, glad I picked it up on day one.

Beat 'Taker at Wrestlemania with a custom superstar on Legend difficulty and no achievement...is there something specific you've got to do? Won by DQ and submission, is it pinfall only?

Universe mode only. You can make he match in card editor at Wrestlemania at least.

Damn, not being able to save stuff to the hard drive really hurts. Want to have WWF vs WCW for Universe mode, but that means most, if not all my caw and caa slots will have to go to wcw stuff. Won't leave me much space for legends, tna, japan, etc.

So yeah where are these WWE Universe storymodes? Were they part of create-a-story mode? They seem to have more options there now. They have an "APA Card Game" where APA beats the shit out of somebody for cheating.

Create a story has gotten too convoluted for my taste.

Dunno, Create a Story is pretty fantastic, imo.

It's beyond annoying in my opinion. I can understand how back in the day when data had to be saved to memory cards that you'll have a limit on created wrestlers and other features.

But in this day and age, with consoles having hard drives with at least 4GB of space, why you would be limited to how much custom content you desire to create and download by a per-determined number of slots... it's just stupid.

I guess maybe because they still catered to the PS2 until a few years back, as well as the Wii, so they are still hamstrung by old tech. That's the problem with a yearly game, they don't have time to rebuild things properly, they just nip and tuck the same game and put it out again. Much like COD games I suppose, a new gloss of paint and more reliance on DLC to make money.

Damn Universe mode won't even seemingly recognize any Attitude Era teams (Acolytes/DX/NAO)...sucks because I am trying (so far in futility :nono:) to get one of them #1 Contender status so I can then go ahead and pick up the belts for them and unlock the last unlockable I have left to go, the WTT Championships (’98-’02).

Suggest you just edit the title rankings and move one of the Attitude Tag Teams up to the #1 Contender spot the show before a PPV.

That being said, even if said Attitude Tag Team wins the belts, it may not register. I originally had the Road Warriors win and didn't have the belt unlocked. Had to repeat the process and have the New Age Outlaws win the belts from them to get that unlock.

you have to actually make the team first, then you can just make a title match on any show you want. don't see how this is difficult.

How would I go about that process?

And I should note, I HAVE tried editing the titles to the Acolytes and having them drop the belts to the former champs at a PPV in hopes that a rematch at the next PPV followed by the Acolytes winning them back would unlock it but no such luck.

Figure I might just set up the Acolytes with the belts again and have them face N.A.O. at the next PPV and have N.A.O. win them, see if that does anything... :-\

Not giving up without a fight though. Especially since I never did unlock Goldust in ’12.

I think it did that in '12. I'm gonna finish that before I even pick up '13, though.

Loved it so far but found the Y2J V Road Dogg match fucking torture, and my mate did it in abt a minute and a half

Pull out the table and set it up first. Get in the ring do a quick move, then taunt. Repeat until you get two specials. Do a the LionTamer and quickly release. Then get him outside and do a special table move. It took me a WHILE to master this though...

Whoops, sorry. Go to Rankings, then hit X (or the relevant PS3 button) to edit the rankings. If you can't see them on the Ranking page, then you'll need to move the team to either RAW or Smackdown so they're listed on the rankings page. If they are there, then you just highlight their name and select them, then move up to the Number 1 Contender slot and select that team. Should switch them and you should be fine to advance.

For me, Lita vs. Stephanie was an absolute nightmare. If it wasn't for The Rock's flip-flopping on fast and slow counts, it was Trips interfering with every pin.
