WWE '13
I know it's a bit early but their has been some comfirmed info from THQ.



Cory Ledesma said that if he saw a sign on Raw that said that, he will release minor detailes on WWE '13. When he found he had the following put on wwe.thq.com

Well, I'm a man of my word. I threw out a challenge on April 1st to the WWE Games Community on Twitter to get the “Miz Fears Ledesma” crowd sign on T.V. and I promised that if I spotted it I would reveal a tidbit on WWE ’13. Low and behold on the April 6th edition of SmackDown! it has been spotted!!

Credit should go to @WWEBradWard for creating the sign, getting it on air, and helping to deliver news on WWE ’13. Our WWE Games Community knows how to rise to a challenge and we’re planning on throwing more challenges out to our WWE Games Community in the coming months.
Now for the tidbit reveal on WWE ’13. It gives me great pleasure to reveal that we’ve been able to increase the CAS Layer count for PS3 from 32 to 64. This is huge news for our PS3 owners and something the PS3 fans have been requesting. We worked extremely hard to optimize the Create-A-Superstar system to support this and we want to continue to work hard to address your feedback.

Thanks for your continued support and we look forward to revealing more when the game is officially announced in the next few months. Did we mention 6 Diva's in the ring next year as well?! OHHHH YEAH!

I haven't seen THQ confirm this but apparently there are rumors that Road Dogg is saying that WWE '13 will be heavily influenced by the Attitude Era and that he has also completed his voice over work with Billy Gunn.

I buy it every year regardless but '12 hasn't been in my Xbox since the last DLC pack came out,dunno if i'll buy this the day of release. Come October my stance will have changed of course.

They need to go the UFC route and skip a year,i get why they dont but yeah,glitchy as fuck at times,especially the online. I know i'll get it release day the same as every year though.

Gonna learn from the past 2 years and NOT buy it on release day. Can usually pick it up for almost half price a month after release and I don't play games enough to justify the extra expense to make that release purchase.

Create a story, and being able to edit downloade caws made 2011 a day one buy for me, but all the stupid little bullshit made me not play it after a few months.

WWE 12 has had more staying power, but it's no where near where it could be.

Some things I'd like to see:

More moves, and more wrestler specific animations, like there were in the past. The movesets in 12 are absolute shit. Maybe I'm just used to Firepro, but it feels like a lot of wrestlers have the same moves.

Full customization of Universe mode. I could make a whole wall of text on problems with universe mode, but the biggest flaw is the restrictions. There is no reason not to do this, other than to be dicks, and unlock a little bit more customization each year, so they don't have to be creative, and think of actual new ideas.

Bring back GM mode. Maybe even integrate it into universe mode.

Customization of the stage in create an arena.

Now that playing matches online is smoother, and there are more options, they should bring back create a belt.

Entrances for gimmick matches.

I would get rid of champion entrances, and just have the belt around their waist during their normal entrance. It is neat to see the champion entrances, and how they interact with the belt, but it ruins any caw's entrance that uses advanced creation. I've created some awesome, elaborate entrances in the past, but I've had to choose whether I want to see the entrance, or the wrestler come out with a belt. I don't know how everyone else feels about this.

BETTER FUCKING SERVERS FOR COMMUNITY CREATIONS


There are more things I'd like to see, those are just the ones off the top of my head.

Sting was just added to the WWE.com alumni page for his work in wcw.

Would be awesome if they worked out a legends deal with him.

That's what I'm going to do as well. Since HCTP I've always bought it on release and this year I leaning to wait a while. Also, apparently RTWM is out this year and replaced with a new Storyline mode.

I agree 110% about the tournaments. They would definitely add some replay value...don't think they've been in a game since SvR ’09, though...

- Edit stages for CA-Arena.
- More CAW slots, please.
- No more championship entrances, go with Figgy's idea of just having the belt on them.
- Actual stage entrance time edit, hate choosing pre-entrance camera clips to time the right appearance. Same with firework timing.
- More moves, obviously.
- More wrestler specific moves and animations. Past Smackdown's were adamant about this and they just stopped caring after a while.
- Players should not be able to counter Come Back moves with that stupid minigame. It's easy and kills the hype.
- Buff crawling when in a submission, way too slow to mean anything.
- Crowd should lose their fucking minds during 'extreme' stunts like table breaking, jumping off a turnbuckle to the outside, and anything involving a ladder. It's currently like having a show in Orlando every night.
- For the millionth time and for how many years I've asked for this: The counter winder for high flying moves should be when your opponent jumps off whatever he's on rather than contact.
- Highflying moves should deal you half damage when they connect, full damage if they miss (except for moves that land you on your feet).
- Choose custom themes for shows. This series is very close to a fully realized create-a-show system but they miss silly little things.
- Fix/improve create-a-titontron. Or expand the options in there.

I actually ended up enjoying WWE 12 quite a bit.
I got it, and got annoyed with the RTWM so I put it aside for a bit.
Over the months, I went back to it and always had a good time. The Universe Mode still needs a lot of work. I am probably going to skip 13 UNLESS it has something that completely blows me out of the fucking water. I typically skip every other year.
