Still not sold on this. I need details on Universe Mode and, most importantly, I need to hear that the servers aren't a piece of shit this year.
Awww man. No Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry?
Entrances look good compaired to last year, but would rather they spend the time and resources fixing the AI as I normally skip them after I watch them once.
What?
The entrances Kalyx... He skips the entrances...
He said AI...
yes, he wants them to fix AI and worry less on entrances, as he usually skips them...
AH, I read it correctly now.
Feel like a douche writing "entrances Kalyx" like that, Disturbed's post was pretty confusing to read.
This game still isn't No Mercy and thus it sucks.

Wish that there were AI settings for each superstar/diva in the game

Right. Because that would be oh-so-much easier than entering the options menu and picking from either Easy, Normal, Hard or Legend difficulty.
I think he means more like Fire Pro where you can set workers' individual tendencies so they behave more like their real counterparts.
Translation, Heath Slater almost always losses.

Another "Attitude Era" guy confirmed, probably before he was intended to be:
SPOILER: show |
Well that's that. Great roster.
dammit, if that's actually true and not "internet rumor = true" i've gotta buy this
also, did mankind have that music when he started wearing the shirt and tie?
He had it at the KOTR HIAC with Taker, so yes.
Will be very pleased if Angle is in.
Well, we'll find out on Saturday when the roster is revealed.
Dunno, this isn't a big deal to me.
Since Community Creations has come out, there have been picture perfect Kurt Angle CAWs every year. All with 4 attires, spanning his career. This one will probably have one attire, and it will be one of his more simple and bland ones, like it's been for all legends lately. |

Wasn't the most in a SmackDown! game nine players?

Quick question and this one is more of a system question than game specific I guess, but aren't you supposed to be able to rip themes from a burned disc to the 360 hdd? Because I tried that the last time I played 12 and could not get it to work.
You have to put the songs into a playlist, a single-track playlist. It's an annoying issue they refuse to fix.
Ah, that makes sense, because I knew I had gotten it to work in the past. I thought maybe the most recent dashboard update had taken that out. Thanks.
Kind of hindered my enjoyment some seeing as most of the guys I wanted to play as didn't have theme music or had awful generic music. |
Attitude Era Undertaker(neck tattoo issue will be fixed)

Pretty stoked for the roster reveal tomorrow. I don't even really care about the current roster since it'll probably be nearly identical to last year's with maybe a couple of jobbers being switched out for one another. It's all about seeing the Attitude Era roster and if the rumors were true about Blackman, Shamrock, Angle, etc
Yeah, they'd be 3 of my most played this year easy.
If Blackman actually is in, it makes me hopeful that a decent amount of Attitude Era midcarders will get in.
If Blackman makes the cut and D'Lo Brown doesn't I'm not buying.
no Fink announcing the Attitude guys, booooo that
I'd like an online league like in madden or something like that.
Not this generation, but an online promotion is a logical step.
Nah, an online promotion wouldn't be fun in reality. You'd get every 12 year old with their John Cena rip off CAW or "Nothing but black and tattoos" CAW thinking they should be Main Eventing and just quitting when they get beat because their CAW isn't supposed to get beaten.
Unless the online promotion consisted of a guy running it and up to, say, 30 of his friends that he personally invites. He then makes the card for TV events a day or two in advance, which sends a message to the ingame mailbox of that player, telling them the match, the day and the time. The owner of the fed has access to who has won/lost and how often and can make matches based on that, if he likes. A sort of "House Show" feature could be used as a "quick play" option, if you fancy having matches inbetween scheduled TV events, without prior organisation. I'm not sure how you could work in the concept of promos or backstage scenes without it becoming a chore, so maybe it'd just be matches. |
A couple more Attitude Era guys confirmed...not that it's at all surprising but Attitude Era DX are in.
http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images...AMENDED_v2.jpg |
The online promotion can be judged by best match of the night rather than win/loss, and I think that would change things. I like the idea of a GM running things. He can put himself in matches as well. You can cap the players in the promotion to 20 and have two main championships (main event and mid-card). The GM could only use a Power 25 ranking to set championship matches, and the ranking will be based on the best matches rather than wins.

We did ECW Online, each person was picked a wrestler from the roster at random, cards were posted up a week in advance. It was pretty fun! |
LOL Brodus even has Cameron and Naomi in his entrance. Nice.
EXCITED
Lillian Garcia looks less like a horse than usual
He called 'IGN' 'ING'...
the One Man Baaaaaaaaannnnnnnnddddddddddd babyyyyyyyyyyyy
Classic Cena lol
Classic Cena, nice!
Chuffed for JBL, JR is wasted.
MR mcmahon looked amazing!
3 different Triple H's! fuck me!
Buying. Although Kurt Angle or Steve Blackman didn't show :/
LOL so after all that, the leaked Attitude Era roster ended up being 100% correct with a 3rd HHH added on. Awful.
LOLOLOLOL JR IS SOOOOO DRUNK
lol the whole roster will be, I wouldn't have posted it if I thought there was a chance it was fake or came from a "non trustworthy" source. Not sure how it leaking that early makes it awful
Damien Sandow
So after the 3rd set of the reveal, I do believe that they got absolutely everybody from the leaked roster. Also modern versions of Edge and Lita for some reason. JBL is cool though.
Still not going to get the game unless the servers are markedly better. |

Happy with it regardless, 3 Triple H's is a joke though...

3 Foleys
I, for one, am happy about having 3 Triple H's.

We have Triple Triple H!

There is nothing about this roster I'm unhappy about tbh.
Sure, there are a few Attitude Era guys I'd have liked, but they usually release 3 or 4 DLC packs, so who knows? The past attires of current superstars was pretty obvious, but I love it. Debut Jericho & Big Show? Awesome. APA as well as JBL? Very cool. The classic Cena is a nice touch, as well as having 3 eras of HHH. 2 versions of the Brothers of Destruction, plus the entire classic DX. Looks awesome to me! |
Also LOL @ Godfathers Hos in his entrance.

Wow what a roster. Might be the first wrestling game I buy since Day of Reckoning 2.

I can't wait til these soundbytes of drunken JR make its rounds. Wish I had remembered to catch this live.

Anyone else!? :) |
Seriously though, my thoughts on the roster are pretty much the same as it was when it was first leaked. The current roster is fine. But the Attitude Era one is just meh to me. Just way too many duplicates. Ledesma says that the Attitude Era versions of guys will have their own unique movesets and entrances.
Entrances, sure. But movesets? I doubt it. What's really going to be different? 1999 Big Show won't have a knockout punch. 1999 Jericho won't have a Codebreaker. 1999 Undertaker won't have the Hell's Gate or Last Ride. Hunter Hearst Helmsley will have different taunts than his other HHH counterparts. That's about it. All in all it's really not a whole lot different than there being 2 Cody Rhodes' last year. But by making them their own roster spots they can artificially tout the largest roster to date. Same thing really with JBL, thuganomics Cena, and modern Edge/Lita. They'll have a different entrance and theme, that's about it. The only "surprise" was Laurinaitis getting in and I assumed he'd always get in as a NPC for Story Creator mode. In the end, it all comes down to gameplay and I got bored of the last few games very quickly. Not a day 1 buy for me. I'll rent first and see how it goes. |
Yeah... gonna put Brock and Shamrock in a cage match.
What's the story mode or whatever on this game? Has that been announced yet? If it's some sort of thing where you can kill a bunch of the current roster with Attitude Era guys then I'll buy it. I might even just buy it to make my own story of DX + Kevin Nash running round destroying everyone.
Basically you re-live the Attitude Era. You play about 60 or so matches and play them out exactly as they happened, kinda like Legends of WrestleMania. Then there's cutscenes in between and the like.
That doesn't sound that interesting really, already know what happens in those storylines. Should just have John Laurinaitis invent a time travel machine and show that he's the best GM of all time by bringing back a bunch of interesting wrestlers to wipe out the useless current guys. Then Brodus Clay can dance for a while.
Ledesma said in an interview at one point that the 24/7 Hardcore Title defenses would be part of the mode. And yet pretty much none of those guys are in there.
Almost wonder if they should have just gone balls out with the Attitude Era. Like 80 Attitude Era guys or something. Would have been kinda surreal. |
Yeahhh would much rather have Attitude Era midcarders like Test, Val Venis, Crash Holly, Hardys etc than the likes of Primo, Epico, Jinder Mahal, Justin Gabriel.
Really want Test in there to make a full Corporation, minus the stooges. |
Actually he mentioned the Monday Night Wars factoring into the mode too but there's little WCW representation in the game. They kinda half-assed it with the WCW storyline in last year's game.
I'm going to do a storyline where The Great Khali builds a time machine in his feud with Damien Sandow. Sadly, while Sandow is trapped in time he meets "Blue Blood" HHH and forever changes history. DX is never formed, and Shawn Michaels ends up beating Rockabilly at WrestleMania XIV to retain the WWF Championship and he goes on to dominate the WWF. The Great Khali then has to get Sin Cara and Road Dogg to help him go back in time and stop Sandow from completely destroying the WWE Universe. This of course will lead to Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon being stuck in alternate time periods. Vince McMahon is stuck in the future and Shane is forced to run the WWF in 1999. The Great Khali decides to take the ultimate risk and join the WWF roster in 1999. He decides to run over Stone Cold Steve Austin at Survivor Series and go on to dominate the WWF from 2000 onward. Sin Cara and Road Dogg have to decide what to do about Khali's greed potentially destroying the space-time continuum. Sin Cara and Road Dogg also find out that have to find the cure for an unknown disease given to them after a huge orgy with Lita and Vader. Can they rebuild the time machine and stop Khali from succumbing to his greed? Can the duo stop Damien Sandow from ruining Road Dogg's career? Can they find a way to pee without that burning sensation? Play WWE '13 to find out.
AJ and Sandow as DLC. I'd be surprised if Tensai and Ryback aren't DLC also. Could see the heavily rumored Blackman, Rikishi, and Too Cool being DLC as well.

I demand that the Boss Man/Big Show storyline is represented in Attitude Era mode. :shifty:

If I do get this it might be the first year I don't download the entire missing current roster. I'll use as many spots as possible on missing Attitude Era guys and might just deactivate all of the current guys for Universe Mode.
Are the downloadable guys free or cost extra?
