Would've been better if it showed the moves though, but hopefully Elbow Drop w/ Push-ups is how Scott Steiner does it.

Incase nobody knew, Finishers created with Create-A-Finisher can be used for Signatures this time as well, though the limit of using only 2 Created Finishers remains.

Purgatory 10-21-2012 01:03 AM

They're focusing on the full-functionality of the PS3 and 360. I'm pretty sure the wii version is gonna be watered down

#BROKEN Hasney 10-21-2012 01:04 AM

Exactly. And they won't say what's missing until the last second so people will will pre-order based on the 360/PS3 features.

Than those people are dumb asses.

Ace 10-21-2012 02:30 PM

Apparently they've added the ability to pin in backstage brawl this year. I'm assuming to assist with the feel of Attitude Era hardcore matches.

whiteyford 10-21-2012 02:36 PM

Nice touch, hated the backstage brawls in '12

Ace 10-21-2012 02:45 PM

Kind of hated that you couldn't control when you end it, which is a big part of the single player game to me. Making it a bit dramatic like actual matches etc.

And sadly, they're going to hook the dumbasses from last year too. I thought it would be a clear sign to NOT buy the wii version if there hasn't been any info regarding features, especially when the release is 9 days away. That being said, I don't even plan on getting the 360 version till I hear some great things about it. The sell point for me this year is going to be the servers not sucking like last year.

Emperor Smeat 10-21-2012 10:50 PM

Been like that for the past few years in regards to any wrestling game from THQ on the Wii. Either it barely gets reviewed by places or THQ promises a bunch of stuff and ends up forgetting to mention its not in that version or barely works.

Then again most of the time the Wii version is literally just the PS2 version with a few control changes.

OCWFED.com - Ready for WWE '13!

I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this, but here goes.

Online Championship Wrestling
http://www.ocwfed.com

OCW Promotional Video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KPVc...layer_embedded

OCW Youtube Channel
http://www.youtube.com/ocwfedtv

OCWFED.com is the single longest running eFed in the world. We've been going since 2005 when we were huddled around our campfires, desperately trying to generate enough electricity to fire up our Playstation 2's. Since then, we've come a long way, and are now recruiting new members for the 2013 season (our 8th full year).

What is OCW?

OCW stands for Online Championship Wrestling, and we are an Xbox 360 efed - our current game is WWE 12, and moving to WWE '13 upon release. Over the past 8 years, we've become much more than just an efed - we're a family. We've got legends, we've got 8 years worth of storied history, and we've got a community the likes of which other efed's can only imagine.

Can I be a real life wrestler in OCW?

Absolutely not. We pride ourselves on our imagination, and as such, all current and past CAWs in OCWfed are built from the ground up. They have their own gimmicks, mannerisms, movesets, attires - they are completely unique. Often a user will take inspiration from a real life wrestler, but they mould and shape the character how they see fit.

How are shows structured in OCW?

We have a weekly "Television" show - OCW Riot (315 episodes and counting), where our storylines and matches take place - supplemented by a monthly Pay Per View event. Unlike other feds, every single match on all of our shows is recorded and uploaded (It's been that way since 2005), meaning that our show is as close to a real life event as you're going to get match wise. On the storytelling front, we tend to use RPs (Roleplaying), where you tell your story in the form of a written script. Not good at writing? Cool - we also cater for guys who want to make video RPs - there are plenty of guys who will help you out with this. When all the content is submitted via our submission area, the show will be posted (Usually a card is posted a week before the show is uploaded). Matches are booked by a GM, but its down to the competitors to hook up to do the match.

A show is comprised of a complete five page website, where all the content is available whenever you want it. This process means that, again like other efeds, we have 8 years of content CONSTANTLY available, and ready for you to watch. You can see all of this content here: http://www.ocwfed.com/forum/archive.php or http://www.ocwfed.com/forum/ppv.php

Are there any rules in OCW?

We operate a "Fair Play Rules" policy which is backed up by a three strikes and you're out protocol. FPR isn't as strict as it once was, but there are some key things you have to keep in mind when playing an OCW match. Firstly, your CAW must be 82 OVR and have no stats over 85. The next (and pretty much final rule) is respect your opponent. No constant running moves, hacks, standing over them so they can't get up. Reversing might be easy in this game, but thats no reason for you to constantly rush your opponent.

How do I join OCW?

Easy! Get yourself a copy of WWE 12 (13 when it arrives), an Xbox 360 and a gold membership- head to http://www.ocwfed.com/ and register for an account. There is a process whereby you will be evaluated (In order to keep undesirable players out). To speed this up, you can play "Dark Matches" with other members, and if you're not one of those undesirables, you'll become a full member of the roster. It's as simple as that. When you arrive though, its important to understand that you won't be OCW champion in a week. Just like real life, you have to earn your spot - prove yourself against the best.

We're waiting to hear from you - so get yourself over to OCWFED.COM right now and make a name for yourself in the longest running eWrestling company on the planet.

We don't claim ownership of any of the ingame stuff, obviously it's all THQ's sterling work

I dunno, this seems kinda neat if you're into this sort of thing.

I haven't been into wrestling or wrestling games for a while now, just payed mild attention to them, but I mean if you're looking to join one of these I'd say this guy has a pretty good e-fed running. I don't know what to compare it to though, if someone knows of a similar e-fed maybe they wanna give them a shout out and you can compare/contrast. Honestly, I dunno why TPWW doesn't just do something similar to this guy.

So yeah, seems neat if this is what you're looking for.

PorkSoda 10-22-2012 05:35 PM

I honestly don't think I'm going to look at ANYTHING from now in this thread. I'm gonna buy the game and be Penguin Surprised.

I don't actually run it, I'm just one of the members, we're trying to recruit for the upcoming season.

I'll still buy and play the game on the Wii, if it is a step up. I brought the Wii mainly for my kids to play. I just play the Lego games and the WWE games.

Purgatory 10-22-2012 06:28 PM

I'll definately look into this when I get Gold again. I was in an E-Fed for 6 years before it went defunct...well, the guy running it died.

OCW Youtube Channel

Do you guys broadcast over Justintv? If I was actually good at playing online I'd think about joining. Probably not.

No but we did have one Live Unleashed show earlier this summer on TwitchTV, and another is planned for November sometime.

Join even if you don't plan on competing, it's just like watching any other promotion excepts it requires a bit more reading.

Don't be scurred to check us out :)

Billy Gunn in the generic pre-lips attire. Fucking THQ.

Fignuts 10-24-2012 10:51 AM

I like how roadogg says "you better call somebody" instead of "your ass better call somebody", and yet The Mr.Ass theme and titantron is in full effect.

Yeah, this too. Fucking lazy.

Emperor Smeat 10-24-2012 03:11 PM

Yeah THQ was lazy with the Attitude Billy Gunn considering if it was about them not being able to use the word "ass" then they'd have used a different theme and tron music.

Corporate CockSnogger 10-24-2012 03:35 PM

I've been coming back to this thread whenever I see it on the main page, waiting for the Billy Gunn intro. Pretty glad they've used the music but what the fuck is that model. Awful. Could probably find a Caw from a game from 5 years ago that looked more like Billy Gunn.

whiteyford 10-24-2012 03:35 PM

Why waste time on a jobber though?

whiteyford 10-24-2012 03:36 PM

Some of the models are pretty terrible though.

Corporate CockSnogger 10-24-2012 03:37 PM

I will kill you.

Corporate CockSnogger 10-24-2012 03:38 PM

Dunno, was quite sure I'd be buying this a few months ago but the majority of the models just look terrible. Plus there's no real storyline right? Other than just going through stuff from the Attitue Era? Think I'll probably end up skipping it.

whiteyford 10-24-2012 03:41 PM

I think the storyline branches out but pretty much, the models are always hit or miss though.

Corporate CockSnogger 10-24-2012 03:43 PM

Well to be fair, each year I intend to get the game but then just end up forgetting about it and then after a while and after reading about faults in the game on here, I just end up not caring anyway.

whiteyford 10-24-2012 03:44 PM

I'll have Billy Gunn go on a losing streak just for you.

Corporate CockSnogger 10-24-2012 03:46 PM

That guy you'll be using may get called Billy Gunn by the commentators, and may have his moveset/entrance, but whatever that was in that video certainly wasn't Billy Gunn.

whiteyford 10-24-2012 03:49 PM

Fully intend to create a Freddie Prinze Jr CAW to bloody up Billy Gunn just for you

Skippord 10-25-2012 01:34 AM

Pretty glad Assassins Creed is coming out on the same day as this so I don't impulse buy it for full price stupidly

Ace 10-25-2012 10:02 AM

Got my advance copy yesterday, and played the crap out of it last night.

Few notes -

Gameplay is very similar to '12, but feels a lot more polished.

The OMG moments are pretty cool, and fighting on the commentary table is a welcome return.

The ring break is cool, but not something I'll be using on a regular basis, if ever again tbh.

Create an arena is pretty awesome, and there's a lot to fiddle with and keep you busy.

CAW is exactly the same as always, with a few parts added here and there (noting that they added Andre's bushy sideburns to facial hair)

Attitude mode is pretty awesome, IMO. If you've played the 'relive' mode on Legends of WM, expect the same formula, but much better.

The whole mode plays out in order, so the first chapter is the rise of DX, which ends with the 'Screwjob', then the following story, Austin 3:16, picks right up from there. It's fun to play through. So far I've cleared the 1st 2 chapters, now on Brothers of Destruction, having just played KOTR 98 (Which included beating Rock as Shamrock for KOTR, HIAC, and First Blood)

If anyone has any questions they want me to answer, go ahead and I'll do my best to answer!

Does Universe look like it will have legitimate replayability? Or can you see yourself getting bored fast?

#BROKEN Hasney 10-25-2012 10:56 AM

Should probably put the story part in Spoiler tags. Doesn't bother me, but it may others.

Other than that, yeah, go play Universe and see how long it is before something illogical happens. That's the "swing state" for my purchase right now.

The Fugitive 10-25-2012 11:08 AM

Has Story mode improved from "Press A to proceed"?

For me personally, yes. I think the inclusion of Attitude guys has added an extra something to the game.

Haven't looked at Universe that much yet, I always play the story first. But upon a glance, its a lot more in depth, especially with the ability to hold a show on each day. I see Universe being a big factor in replaying.

To be fair, there aren't any 'spoilers' in my post, seeing as the mode is based on events from 15 years ago

I'll play Universe properly tomorrow, and get back to you on this. (I plan on unlocking most of the Attitude guys through story first so I can split brands etc)

Hugely. Basically at the start of a match you'll get objectives (which also can be brought up in the corner of the screen during gameplay for reference by pressing back).

The main objective to continue the story is 'win by pinfall or submission. But then you have 'historical objectives' which recreate moments from the real match.

Don't get me wrong though, these aren't 'press A to finish the match with a cutscene' like in 12. Sometimes they trigger a small cutscene mid match which then progress on to you finishing the match after the scene (an example being Kane interfering in HIAC 1) They are excellently done and a lot of fun to watch unfold.

All in all, Attitude mode in itself is a lot of fun and I think for the first time in many years (especially the RTWM years) I'll be replaying a story mode in a WWE game!

#BROKEN Hasney 10-25-2012 11:40 AM

Also, do you know how to rip XBox 360 discs? :shifty:

Evil Vito 10-25-2012 12:34 PM

I'll await feedback on Universe, since that will be the make it or break it for me on whether or not I grab this.

How long does it usually take for prices to drop, anyway? Even if I want to get this I don't think throwing down $60 for a game is something I can readily do at this point.

whiteyford 10-25-2012 02:23 PM

It dropped in price pretty quick last year, was part of the black friday sale too.

Kalyx triaD 10-25-2012 02:37 PM

For the love of god can you put a custom theme song for a show you created when you make a storyline?!

Xero 10-25-2012 02:37 PM

Yeah on Black Friday/that week/the weeks leading up to it it will probably be down to like $40.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-25-2012 02:39 PM

Refreshing torrent sites like crazy now I know it's out in the wild.

If it's out before the weekend, it would be a nice touch.

whiteyford 10-25-2012 02:40 PM

Curse you and your pirating ways Hasney...not jealous at all :-\

#BROKEN Hasney 10-25-2012 02:44 PM

Well after I pre-ordered 12 and got royally screwed by shit servers and stupid online servers, you better believe I'm pirating this before cash changes hands.

Tommy Gunn 10-25-2012 04:41 PM

I bought XCOM a few weeks ago so I can't really justify another full price new game so soon, depends on feedback for Universe mode, which is again the main reason I want it, to have a killer interactive CAW campaign without faffing about with story designer mode.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-25-2012 04:49 PM

Hey, Assasins Creed III just hit the Torrents.

It may fuck off as they delayed the PC version, so I'll wait for a sale on that bad boy.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-25-2012 04:51 PM

That may or maybe in the wrong thread. Or not. Maybe just a tangent based on my earlier comments. Ohhh yeahhhh.

I ended up winning a copy from THQ on Twitter, for the Collector's Edition, Guess I saved myself 65 bucks.

whiteyford 10-27-2012 05:57 AM

I'm pretty much sold on this, well fully sold since I preordered it, only thing I'm curious about now is the servers for downloading caws.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-27-2012 06:59 AM

And you won't know that until release. It'll be fine once my version downloads.

whiteyford 10-27-2012 07:13 AM

Sneaky bastards, not expecting much improvement server wise though honestly, so anything is a bonus.

Nope.

Universe mode has some great non-WWE PPV themes though including Inferno, endurance (main event last man standing), outnumbered (main event handicap match).
