Mavs/Spurs game last night was pretty sweet.

Also Marion dunked it on somebody last night (it might have been more than one person) and was blatantly fouled and nothing was called. C'mon give the guy a break he plays for the fuckin heat

Juan 03-01-2008 12:58 AM

I can't believe we fuckin lost to the Blazers...

SammyG 03-01-2008 02:50 AM

I can. I'm not that torn about that loss, we haven't won there in the last 6 meetings. Blazers play very well at home, definite home court advantage with that crowd there. We always struggle in the Rose Garden, It's all good, so what, you can't win em all. 41-18 is a ok.

Juan 03-01-2008 07:06 AM

True

alvarado52 03-01-2008 06:34 PM

the Blazers are one of those team, where it seems like its the jersey that gives the Lakers hell. Doesnt matter what player has it on, they always give us a run. I didnt mind the loss, and like Sammy said, cant win 'em all.

Crimson 03-01-2008 06:58 PM

That's what the Patriots said

rofl SUNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Ninti the Mad 03-02-2008 01:34 AM

Man, that team seems to be losing it.

Its going to be the beginning of the end for Nash soon if they dont fix their shit.

tman220 03-02-2008 04:50 AM

im off the suns bandwagon now..how can you possibly be an elite team when you loose to a team in the east under .500? On top of giving up tons of points when shaq was brought in for D

DaveWadding 03-02-2008 02:14 PM

The Suns just need to stop coasting during stretches...I cvan think of at least 3/4 times where they would get down by 10 and then be tied again in about a minute and a half...then they would get down again. Then, they finally came to play during the last half of the 4th and they couldnt make it happen.

I don't sit here and make excuses for them like SamuelG does (The Blazers just always beat us and Im trying to mask that I've been bawling my eyes out while making this post :'()

They played like they didnt give a shit until the end of the game and they lost. Period.

IC Champion 03-02-2008 03:57 PM

If Im Steve Nash, and Phenoix doesnt so shit againt his years, I'm asking to be traded to a place where he can win. You can win 60 games every year in he regular season, but that doens't mean shit when you when you can't get out the seconds and third rounds.

Ninti the Mad 03-02-2008 06:07 PM

jeez... 41 free throw attempts in this LA game for the Lakers

Juan 03-02-2008 06:08 PM

What a fuckin game! 6.1 seconds left and I have to go to work!!

RP 03-02-2008 06:11 PM

What a fucking game.

SammyG 03-02-2008 06:38 PM

Well good. Why don't you make it yourself and take Samuel G and Crossrine with you?

SammyG 03-03-2008 11:18 AM

Kobe is winning the MVP this year, come on now. No question about it. You have to be seriously retarded to not consider him the MVP.

Chris Paul? KG?

SammyG 03-03-2008 01:47 PM

Screw KG, he has fucking Allen and Pierce on his team, no wonder they are amazing. CP3 is a good candidate however.

RP 03-03-2008 01:49 PM

Guys.... the Pacers have won 2 straight. Mike Dunleavy has score 72 points in the last 2 games. He might even win player of the week. The end of the world is happening.

Testicle 03-03-2008 02:28 PM

How about Lebron for MVP.

30 points
7 assists
8 boards

Plus half of his team is injured and they still win, and yes, I realize that the east sucks.

SammyG 03-03-2008 02:50 PM

You answered your own suggestion.

McLegend 03-03-2008 03:02 PM

Chris Paul certainly has no superstars, and plays for a joke of a franchise.

Juan 03-04-2008 01:15 AM

“He took the game over, and he won it,” said Nowitzki, who finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds.

SammyG 03-04-2008 01:16 AM

Every player in the NBA thinks Kobe is the best, most of the fans think he is the best, and for some reason KOBE BRYANT has not won an MVP. unbelievable.

Skippord 03-04-2008 02:16 AM

Lebron James is better

Juan 03-04-2008 05:06 AM

Good? Yes. Great? Maybe. BETTER? No way.

Testicle 03-04-2008 09:10 AM

Its true that at some point in his career, Kobe deserves to win an MVP, but as Skippord just pointed out, Lebron is better.

SammyG 03-04-2008 12:17 PM

Mamba MVP.

Gonna go 43-18 tonight.

RP 03-04-2008 02:32 PM

I keep doing the ESPN NBA lottery machine. Every single time it has the Pacers drafting 10th and getting D.J Augustine. Man i hope. I love D.J Augustine. I really like Jerrod Bayless too.

RP 03-04-2008 02:34 PM

If Indiana somehow got the 3rd or 4th pick and got either Eric Gordon or Jerryd Bayless, i'd get season tickets.

SammyG 03-04-2008 02:34 PM

I really like the playoffs.

RP 03-04-2008 02:35 PM

Seriously, Jerryd Bayless reminds me of Allen Iverson. He's got that kinda game.

RP 03-04-2008 02:36 PM

But Indiana needs a solid young PG to lead us and Augustine would be perfect at pick 10.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-04-2008 02:39 PM

Cassell flew into Boston today to sign the contract, I wonder if he came in on a spaceship?

SammyG 03-04-2008 02:40 PM

lol ET

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-04-2008 02:42 PM

Also I don't think Kobe is gonna win the MVP, people don't wanna vote for a rapist

IC Champion 03-04-2008 02:44 PM

I hate this whole after the trade-deadline people getting bought out and than signing somewhere else. It's bullshit.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 03-04-2008 02:51 PM

Why are you so against it? Has never bothered me really

RP 03-04-2008 03:13 PM

I agree. So much shadey dealings going on this year. The Gasol trade was unbelievable. Cassell conviently going to Boston smells bad, even though its not really as if they need him. Rondo is way better. Brent Barry getting bought out in Seattle and returning to the Spurs after he was traded. Rules need to change. This shit looks so shadey imo.

IC Champion 03-04-2008 03:15 PM

I agree with conebone.

RP 03-04-2008 03:25 PM

Kobe vs Lebron is almost impossible. Lebrons stats are incredible. 30 points 8 boards 7 assists 2 steals 1 block. Lebron dont have a Pal Gasol or even a Lamar Odom. I'd even argue that theres not a another player on the Cavs that is better then Luke Walton imo. But Kobe is such an assassin. Kobe probably should get MVP because he's deserved it for a while.

Testicle 03-04-2008 03:54 PM

Exactly, Kobe will be winning it for past achivements because he has not yet won one. Lebron is without a doubt having the best season, but he has his whole career ahead of him to win plenty.

Jura 03-04-2008 03:59 PM

If Lebron worked on his shooting I would consider him better than Kobe.

IC Champion 03-04-2008 04:23 PM

LeBron isnt' half the defender Bryant is for the record.

Kobe also has that killer instinct.

1st part: True

2nd part: I think he had that killer instinct in the playoffs last year, when he killed my pistons. :'(

IC Champion 03-04-2008 06:49 PM

I think the Pistons were also lazy, and unmotivated, and thought they would just walk over Cleveland.

That has been their biggest problem for the past three years. With Flip Saunders as their head coach they are not as focused as they should be. Plus they think they can turn their game on and off, which isn't the case. Then Lebron drops 56 on you. :(

Ninti the Mad 03-04-2008 10:39 PM

Lakers getting murdered in Arco. Sucks. Meh, we will still be up 1.5 game in the Pacific.

DaveWadding 03-05-2008 12:42 AM

So the Suns beat the Blazers...

Simple mathematics says

Blazers > Lakers

Suns > Blazers

or Suns > Blazers > Lakers

aka Suns > Lakers

LOL SamuelG is going to shit a brick.

SammyG 03-05-2008 12:43 AM

Lakers with a big comeback win, amazing, Kobe takes over in the 4th. That's a great win for us, in Arco where everyone hates us.

And for fatass:

Lakers 2.5 games over PHX.

Ninti the Mad 03-05-2008 12:45 AM

Wins mean nothing in the regular season.

SammyG 03-05-2008 12:45 AM

Yea, except for making the playoffs and getting a good playoff seed.

:wtf:

But not really this year, all 8 teams that come outta the west are gonna be good.

Ninti the Mad 03-05-2008 12:55 AM

Well, I was mostly talking to Wadding.

Cavs beat the Spurs during the regular season last year more than once and got swept.

RoXer 03-05-2008 01:54 AM

Holy cow, I'm gone this whole time to come back to nothing but SammyG reporting on every little thing the Lakers did since I left. I know more about the Lakers now then I do about the Suns or Warriors. Thank you Sammyg.

considering how tight the west playoff race is, a losing streak of 4 or more will have your ass sitting home watching the playoffs on TNT. Id say wins mean a whole helluva lot in the regular.

Testicle 03-05-2008 09:18 AM

This is why they need to change the NBA playoff system. The balance between the east and the west is offset. So instead of having the top eight teams in each confrence making it to the playoffs. We should just have the top 16 teams in the leauge face off.

If this were actually to take place and if the playoffs were to start today, only 4 teams from the east would make it, compared to 12 from the west.

BCWWF 03-05-2008 10:12 AM

If the Pacers do something really really stupid like beat Houston and San Antonio on the road, i'll be so fucking pissed. I've been doing the ESPN Draft lottery machine like crazy. for the first couple of thousand times it was 95% pick 10- D.J Augustine, the other 5% of the time it was pick 11- Augustine, but like 10 minutes ago i did one and it was the 3rd pick- Eric Gordon ( YES PLS ). They have like a 1.4% chance of winning the first pick so.
