Top 25 Big Men in WWE History

http://www.wwe.com/inside/wwefeature...s/top25bigmen/

Good list. The order might be a little off but I think they've got all the necessary pieces.

I'll let you guys tear it apart.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-19-2010 01:29 PM

Although their qualifications are apparently 6'7 and up or more than 300 lbs.

Hulk Hogan was billed as 6'7 and 303. HMMMMMM

Next Big Thing 05-19-2010 01:39 PM

LOL at Diesel. Surprised to see Ernie Ladd at 7. I honestly haven't heard much about him.

Khali has no business near any top anything list unless it's top five motherfuckers who look like klingons. Dude has a face only a blind mother could love.

LOL @ Khali holding that belt. Looks like he went on WWESHOP.com and bought a child size replica.

Lol, that needs to go on the "wrestler look-a-like" post. I will give WWE credit though, not a horrible list but Khali is no where near Bam Bam or Vader. Then again I saw a "greatest tag teams of all time" list by them and I think LOD was at like #7 :nono:

PS Edge and Christian were #1

BigDaddyCool 05-19-2010 02:58 PM

Nash should be #1.

Ermaximus 05-19-2010 03:18 PM

I can't view the list, but please tell me Crash Holly is on this list?

Vastardikai 05-19-2010 03:36 PM

No Spoiler? that's disappointing.

Honestly, my top 5 would have been:

1. Undertaker
2. Andre
3. Vader
4. Bam Bam Bigelow
5. Big Bossman

He was billed as 6'8 and 303. Thouigh down the years the height got downgraded. Big show used to be billed as 7'2 in WWE and 7'5 in wcw.

FourFifty 05-19-2010 04:02 PM

HAYSTACKS!!!!!! :D
About time WWE mentions his name somewhere!

FourFifty 05-19-2010 04:04 PM

....I agree with Andre the Giant and The Undertaker being in the top two, but I really believe that it should have been Andre on top of the list.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-19-2010 04:23 PM

Well good thing you didn't make the list because your opinion is wrong.

Tb1 05-19-2010 04:32 PM

lol

RiX1024 05-19-2010 04:52 PM

I knew it was between 'Taker and Andre. Wonder why Big Show was number 3 though. See they phased Hogan out on it.

You realize that it was probably the Greatest WWE Tag Teams of alltime right, and since most of LOD's great stuff wasn't in WWE, that's a pretty fair spot.

Jeritron 05-19-2010 04:59 PM

It's pretty good. I'd probably have put Kane and Diesel a bit higher, but they're in the top 10. I'm also a fan from their generation.

I definitely would have put Rikishi higher. He's behind a lot of guys he's miles better than in the ring, and was WAY more over than.

DarKCentaur 05-19-2010 05:25 PM

I didn't even think of the Undertaker as a "giant". In that retrospect, I would have had Andre #1, Big Show #2, and Vader #3. Also, LOL at Viscera being ranked above Mike Awesome

Th3R0CKSays 05-19-2010 05:31 PM

Why is Viscera or the Great Khali even on that list. They are just huge and that is it. I would have done the list like this.

1. Undertaker
2. Andre
3. Kevin Nash
4. Big Show
5. Kane

This would be my top five except I'd swap out Bossman for Big Cool Nash. The WWE list is solid though. :y:

BollywoodSingh 05-19-2010 06:52 PM

I would have put Andre at #1 for sure. He was the biggest star out of all of those guys.

Weighing in at 400 Lbs, he definitely should have been but is not :nono:

thedamndest 05-19-2010 09:09 PM

Former Intercontinental Champion A-Train was a huge oversight. Definite #17 material.

Come on. The Undertaker has surpassed him by now. He's The Undertaker. Were you even alive when Andre The Giant was?

MoFo 05-19-2010 09:29 PM

No Lesnar or Goldberg?

Whole-heartedly agree

VSG 05-19-2010 10:07 PM

The only things really big about Goldberg was his WCW push, and as a result of it his ego.

Damian Rey 05-19-2010 10:10 PM

I liked that Umaga made the list. Probably the greatest big man they had on the roster at the time. He could work with absolutely anybody.

What Would Kevin Do? 05-19-2010 10:35 PM

No Lesnar, and Mike Awesome is WAY to low.

Hanso Amore 05-19-2010 10:44 PM

Any list where Bruise r Bordy is 17 is shit, though I dont think of him as a big man.....

Minimum qualifications are 6'7 and 300lbs. Neither Lesnar nor Goldberg would meet those.

Another guy who comes close is Scott Hall (6'7 and 280lbs)

100% agree with this. Taker has passed Andre. Not sure how Andre would be greater for any reason other than maybe the WM 3 match but all of Taker's accomplishments should out weigh that by now

Hanso Amore 05-19-2010 10:46 PM

Wow, I am surprised Gorilla made top 5, though he gets the WWE Skew and I wont talk him down as he is a fucking great legend

Hanso Amore 05-19-2010 10:47 PM

Its close guys. Andre was hands down the 1st or biggest star in an up era.

taker has never been THE single guyin a shit era with Swagger as champ.

But taker is also far better in the ring than Andre ever was....so maybe a push?

The Franchise 05-19-2010 10:50 PM

I don't know much about the 80s but how much bigger than Savage was Andre? Like if Hogan = Austin and Andre = The Rock.... who would be Savage's equivalent in the Attitude Era?

Mr. Pierre 05-19-2010 10:57 PM

Taker is #1 in my opinion also. He may not have ever been the "face" of the company, but he's been a star for close to 20 years and has always been the "staple" in WWE that always drew interest.

The Franchise 05-19-2010 11:02 PM

In Taker's defense, I don't think his gimmick would allow him to be THE face of the company.

Did you really think that was a necessary correction that absolutely had to be made? Especially when my stat was correct.

Apples and Oranges

You had territories plus ages in this one.

Like Hogan came in at Andres peak, so Andre isnt a fair equal to Hulk and Mach

So like Austin = Hogan

Rock = Savage

Flair= Andre

What does me being alive at that time have to do with anything?

Jeritron 05-20-2010 02:36 AM

Maybe the WWE has convinced you that he was a bigger star than he really was? Or maybe you just underappreciate The Undertaker because he's been around and well known for so long?
Or maybe it's hard for you to have any clue at all since you were never around to get a grasp of Andre's real stardom?

Jeritron 05-20-2010 02:40 AM

Andre The Giant is a legend to that company. At this stage, though, Undertaker has been a top star and company man for 20 years.
It's hard to realize because it's still going, but his legacy within the company is just as big as Andre's or Gorilla Monsoon's. He's a lifer.

Jeritron 05-20-2010 02:43 AM

I think he's pretty well known culturally too. He's been around for so long and in every era, that enough people know who the fuck he is.

As far as in ring ability goes it's not even a question, even though a lot of Andre's earlier stuff is pretty impressive.

And people don't know who Andre The Giant is? Andre The Giant actually crossed over into mainstream, unlike the Undertaker.

6'8 is what he was billed at for the majority of his WWE run upto the time he left for WCW. :foc:

yokozuna is way too high

Perhaps but whenever he screamed out "Banzai", I would close my eyes as a kid. If he could do that to me, I give him my respect.
