Who are your favorite promos? Guys who pull you in and have you listening to every word they say? They just give off that "special something".

ITs really is a shame that those that are best on the mic, tend to be from the past. But I think that may have more to do with the lack of creative freedom today's wrestlers are given.
That being said, there are very few Wrestlers today that make you stop on want to hear what they have to say. For me its the following: 1. CM Punk - The reason I even watch Smackdown 2. The Miz - Has become Gold on the mic 3. Edge - He still has it and knows how to work a crowd 4. John Cena - I know the IWC hates this guy, put his mic skills are unquestionable 5. Santino - Funniest guy in all of wrestling. |

I was watching one of the 89/90 Clash of the Champions the other day and Scott Steiner was god awful on the mic. He stumbled over his words and looked all nervous. It was prob closer to 88/89.

When you talk about someone being the best you have to take in the fact of everything they do. Not just right now, but past and present.
Chris Jericho is a prime example. His face promos have always been great, and he's been able to transfer that greatness towards his heel promos and making them even better. To consider somebody the best, I feel you have to be able to do it all and not just one thing. Not be just one way, but be able to re-create yourself and be able to adapt to the the enviroment. Jericho does that to perfection. Remember his feud with Shawn Michaels. He ad-libbed most of his promos and they were great. |
