WWE '13
I know it's a bit early but their has been some comfirmed info from THQ.
http://fast1.onesite.com/wwe.thq.com...edesmaSign.jpg Cory Ledesma said that if he saw a sign on Raw that said that, he will release minor detailes on WWE '13. When he found he had the following put on wwe.thq.com Well, I'm a man of my word. I threw out a challenge on April 1st to the WWE Games Community on Twitter to get the “Miz Fears Ledesma” crowd sign on T.V. and I promised that if I spotted it I would reveal a tidbit on WWE ’13. Low and behold on the April 6th edition of SmackDown! it has been spotted!! Credit should go to @WWEBradWard for creating the sign, getting it on air, and helping to deliver news on WWE ’13. Our WWE Games Community knows how to rise to a challenge and we’re planning on throwing more challenges out to our WWE Games Community in the coming months. Now for the tidbit reveal on WWE ’13. It gives me great pleasure to reveal that we’ve been able to increase the CAS Layer count for PS3 from 32 to 64. This is huge news for our PS3 owners and something the PS3 fans have been requesting. We worked extremely hard to optimize the Create-A-Superstar system to support this and we want to continue to work hard to address your feedback. Thanks for your continued support and we look forward to revealing more when the game is officially announced in the next few months. Did we mention 6 Diva's in the ring next year as well?! OHHHH YEAH! Cory Ledesma WWE Games Creative Director @RealCoryLedesma I haven't seen THQ confirm this but apparently there are rumors that Road Dogg is saying that WWE '13 will be heavily influenced by the Attitude Era and that he has also completed his voice over work with Billy Gunn. |
If Billy Gunn is in I will be buying my first Smackdown game in about 4 years.
|
They should just put the New Age Outlaws on the cover
|

Fuck these games. And what happened to THQ going under?
|
I know JR is back on commentary for the game. him and king are doing it
|
I buy it every year regardless but '12 hasn't been in my Xbox since the last DLC pack came out, dunno if i'll buy this the day of release. Come October my stance will have changed of course.
|
They need to go the UFC route and skip a year,i get why they dont but yeah, glitchy as fuck at times, especially the online. I know i'll get it release day the same as every year though.
|
got caught in the hype of WWE '12 and hated it, so I'll be wary of this.
|
this game is going to be a disappointment. calling it now
|
Gonna learn from the past 2 years and NOT buy it on release day. Can usually pick it up for almost half price a month after release and I don't play games enough to justify the extra expense to make that release purchase.
|
I usually skip a year with these things. Might buy it this go around if they have DDP. Hope a rumor gets started about them buying Sting.

Create a story, and being able to edit downloade caws made 2011 a day one buy for me, but all the stupid little bullshit made me not play it after a few months. WWE 12 has had more staying power, but it's no where near where it could be. Some things I'd like to see: More moves, and more wrestler specific animations, like there were in the past. The movesets in 12 are absolute shit. Maybe I'm just used to Firepro, but it feels like a lot of wrestlers have the same moves. Full customization of Universe mode. I could make a whole wall of text on problems with universe mode, but the biggest flaw is the restrictions. There is no reason not to do this, other than to be dicks, and unlock a little bit more customization each year, so they don't have to be creative, and think of actual new ideas. Bring back GM mode. Maybe even integrate it into universe mode. Customization of the stage in create an arena. Now that playing matches online is smoother, and there are more options, they should bring back create a belt. Entrances for gimmick matches. I would get rid of champion entrances, and just have the belt around their waist during their normal entrance. It is neat to see the champion entrances, and how they interact with the belt, but it ruins any caw's entrance that uses advanced creation. I've created some awesome, elaborate entrances in the past, but I've had to choose whether I want to see the entrance, or the wrestler come out with a belt. I don't know how everyone else feels about this. BETTER FUCKING SERVERS FOR COMMUNITY CREATIONS There are more things I'd like to see, those are just the ones off the top of my head. |
Quote:
Would be awesome if they worked out a legends deal with him. |
The most obvious thing they need to do is FIX THE FUCKING COMMUNITY CREATIONS SERVER
|
<font color=goldenrod>Yeah, no chance can I see myself buying this on release day. Gotta find out if the servers work first.</font>
|
That's what I'm going to do as well. Since HCTP I've always bought it on release and this year I leaning to wait a while. Also, apparently RTWM is out this year and replaced with a new Storyline mode.
|
I just want the roster to bigger than ever including nXt talents personally and the return of tournaments such as KOTR/MITB Qualifiers/Beat the Clock.
|
I would also like more caw slots. 50 may seem like a lot, but With the ability to download creations, it fills up very fast.

- Edit stages for CA-Arena.
- More CAW slots, please. - No more championship entrances, go with Figgy's idea of just having the belt on them. - Actual stage entrance time edit, hate choosing pre-entrance camera clips to time the right appearance. Same with firework timing. - More moves, obviously. - More wrestler specific moves and animations. Past Smackdown's were adamant about this and they just stopped caring after a while. - Players should not be able to counter Come Back moves with that stupid minigame. It's easy and kills the hype. - Buff crawling when in a submission, way too slow to mean anything. - Crowd should lose their fucking minds during 'extreme' stunts like table breaking, jumping off a turnbuckle to the outside, and anything involving a ladder. It's currently like having a show in Orlando every night. - For the millionth time and for how many years I've asked for this: The counter winder for high flying moves should be when your opponent jumps off whatever he's on rather than contact. - Highflying moves should deal you half damage when they connect, full damage if they miss (except for moves that land you on your feet). - Choose custom themes for shows. This series is very close to a fully realized create-a-show system but they miss silly little things. - Fix/improve create-a-titontron. Or expand the options in there. |

but what about the 6 DIVAS IN THE RING AT THE SAME TIME
huge news |
They should the Future Endeavor line whenever somebody quits an online match.
|
Thing I hate about THQ is that they will add a little and remove a little each year.
|
Who cares, every WWE Game since No Mercy has been awful.
|
another in-depth classic
|
HEY GUYS, HAS THE OPINION ABOUT NO MERCY BEING BETTER THAN MODERN GAMES BEEN EXPRESSED YET?! BECAUSE IT TOTES IS!!
This is why I'm the only poster who starts interesting discussions in the wrestling forum. |
I see what you did there, it wasn't very good. 2/10.
|
Come on guys St. Jimmy is awesome.
|
I appreciate the endorsement, random nameless poster.

both Day Of Reckoning's are better than No Mercy
and I love Wrestlemania 19, but that's because the story mode is ludicrous. |
Who gave Jimmy all that rep?
|
I actually ended up enjoying WWE 12 quite a bit.
I got it, and got annoyed with the RTWM so I put it aside for a bit. Over the months, I went back to it and always had a good time. The Universe Mode still needs a lot of work. I am probably going to skip 13 UNLESS it has something that completely blows me out of the fucking water. I typically skip every other year. |
No Mercy was better in it's time than WWE 12 in it's own era.
If you are directly comparing them however, wwe 12 shits all over no mercy. |

When my CAW's make an entrance as champion, I don't want the belt(s) to look like they're floating a foot away from the body. It's ridiculous.
Also, I want the option of having my CAW wear the belt either around the waist, or over the shoulder. And the announcing during entrances is terrible too. "He is the WcW Championship." |
Just decided to whip some construction workers off buildings on my emulated Gamecube. Then one of them reversed a five-star frog splash and RVD rolled off the scaffold. Cunts.
|
Does RVD sometimes fall off when he goes "owww my ribs"? Or is it just when its a reversal?
|
In the old games they had that sell. Not the recent ones, though.
|
Yeah I hated it.

I'm sure if it were up to you, we would have gotten the same boring story mode we get every year these days. |
Shove it up your ass, Fagnuts.

Calm down you spaz. Its a wrestling game from 10 years ago. Its not that big a deal.

Okay people. Let's predict WWE'13's roster (I know its a bit early but let's do it anyway :P )
My WWE'13 roster predictions: Alicia Fox Big Show Brodus Clay Beth Phoenix CM Punk Drew McIntyre Epico & Primo Daniel Bryan AJ Lee Layla The Miz Kane John Cena Randy Orton Dolph Ziggler Mark Henry Jack Swagger Christian R-Truth Kofi Kingston Lord Tensai Sheamus Chris Jericho Alberto Del Rio Santino Marella Kelly Kelly Layla Eve Natalya Ryback Hunico Ted DiBiase Jr Cody Rhodes William Regal (despite not having done anything of note on WWE TV for awhile) The Undertaker (hopefully with his Wrestlemania attire, entrance gear & hairdo) Brock Lesnar Rey Mysterio Zack Ryder Attitude Era Legends (Assuming that the rumor of WWE'13 having an AE theme is true) The Rock (Attitude Era trunks/Current entrance music and look) Stephanie McMahon (hey she was a part of the Attitude Era so why not make her a playable character) Vince McMahon Triple H (My Time theme & HHH leather trunks) Ministry Undertaker Stone Cold Big Boss Man Ken Shamrock Mick Foley New Age Outlaws DDP |
Never a big fan of predicting rosters. More than likely current workers will be in there.
|
Even though I've had WWE '12 since it's release, I've only really started playing it, now that my more important commitments are finished for the Summer.
Anyway, with that said, I can actually say what I would like to see change in WWE '12. First of all, a change with the control system. Personally, I feel that the current one for WWE '12 is terrible. It feels like the controls have just been randomly scattered around the controler. It just doesn't feel "right" like the previous control systems have felt in the past. Also, get rid of that button mashing thing when both guys grapple at the same time. It's pointless and it never works. (For me anyway) Ever since it was introduced, I've only ever "won" one of those things once, and that was actually today. Along with that, work on the targeting. The targeting in WWE' 12 is insanely bad and frustrating, along with the games AI. WWE '12 just seems like THQ tried to fix something that wasn't broken. :-\ |
They always change the controls. Change for the sake of change so they can call it progress.
|
Pretty much.
Though I've finally completed all of "Road to WrestleMania" and I've got to say, it was pretty bad. :-\ I liked the way it all connected, but other than that, the mode sucked, with the worst being the "Hero Story". RTWM (more specifically "Hero Story") felt like it consisted of more handicap matches than any other match, along with fights taking place backstage more than actually in the ring. I got sick of the sight of the backstage area and it was worse when I got both a handicap match and it was backstage. The audio was terrible as the majority of the time, I couldn't hear what some guys were saying, from mostly Nash, Orton and Triple H. I'm really not impressed with WWE '12, so I really hope WWE '13 shows a lot of improvement. Personally, I feel that WWE '12 has been the weakest main WWE game THQ have made. |

Good trailer up until they show the game.

I'm guessing that Show/Henry spot will be a cutscene from RTWM.
|
Same shit looking chokeslam.
Maybe they'll finally reanimate the stunner. |
Talking about reanimating, if THQ do reanimate things for WWE '13, then I hope to God they reanimate the entrances.
The WWE have been using the current stage for four years now and yet everyone in a WWE game, appears from the left side when making their entrance, even though the curtain has been on the right side since then. That's always bugged me. |
Well it take 6 months to fix the servers?

<font color=goldenrod>I'm genuinely intrigued in seeing which Attitude era guys get in just because the rumors have been so far out there. The DX members winding up in is one thing (and the latest rumor with X-Pac is that his model was made but he might be held out as DLC because he hasn't signed off on actually appearing yet) but there have been so many random Attitude-era names being thrown around in the rumor mill even if they aren't "Legends" in the traditional sense. I've heard The Godfather, Boss Man, Rikishi, and Too Cool. Some MMA magazine announced that Ken Shamrock and Steve Blackman would be in as well. I take it all with a grain of salt but some of those names would provide a nice trip down memory lane.
I never thought Edge would be a perennial legend in the games ala Austin and The Rock, but with the Attitude era theme I see him getting in again this year - probably bringing back his 2000 era alternate attire. I see Goldust and William Regal in as members of the regular roster as well, because they'd fit in with the Attitude era theme. In terms of other new guys, I'm expecting Lord Tensai to make it in. The week after WM seems to be the unofficial cutoff and Sin Cara made it in last year debuting at that same time, so he'll probably be in. Ryback also debuted during that week but him making it in seems more unlikely. Epico and possibly Hunico are the only other guys I see making their WWE game debuts from the regular roster. Guys like The Usos and Jinder Mahal are possible but if they need to fill out the roster with low carders they'd probably be more likely to re-use guys who already have their moves and models in the game (Yoshi Tatsu, Alex Riley, Heath Slater, etc.)</font> |

THQ have officially released the trailer.
I had a feeling that the game would be released here in the UK on the 2nd of November. It's always the Friday after it's released in North America. |
You know what, THQ? Fuck you. Fuck you in the ass.
I played the last game a bit but not as much as I should have to warrant the purchase, and was thinking "I'm not getting the next game". Then they pull shit like this. Fuck you, THQ. |
I'll still be here to discuss the game, as it's an annual tradition an I've done so every year for over a decade. But I still highly doubt I'll get it on release day. I need to see reviews and feedback on the servers first.
|
Big Vito 22 will definitely purchase this first day http://www.tpww.net/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif
|
I wonder if they will remake Booker T considering how weird he looked in WWE 12.

You did see Austin, right? I've gotten the lower quality of the models.
|
I'm already not liking the fact that 32 of the 77 characters are from the Attitude Era I want more of the current talent personally.
|
I don't like that 45 of the 77 characters are modern talent.
|
Turn your avatar back? Miss the dripping blood thingie already...
|
I've wanted to change it for a while now. I've had the bloody rose for about 8 years.
I had tried Zangief doing various things and one or two others but changed it back 3 seconds later. I wasn't sure if I should change it but I went for it anyway. Does anyone else think I should change it back? Edit: Changed back for now. |
There's guys who change their avatar every few months and there's guy who simply can't change it for iconic reasons. For some it's a shirt to be changed, others a tattoo.

It would make no sense to make a WWE "main series" game and have more past wrestlers than current. That's what games like All-Stars and Legends of WrestleMania are for. |

I am not calling anyone a liar, but I refuse to believe that is the roster until I see it. Holy shit..
|
<font color=goldenrod>Yeah I call bullshit on that roster. They wouldn't release it that quickly.
Also a large chunk of those Attitude era guys are just rehashes of people already in the game on the active roster - plus several people who aren't really wrestlers.</font> |
Quote:

<font color=goldenrod>"Now, for the first time, relive this groundbreaking era in an all-new single player campaign mode that will make you experience the Monday Night Wars like never before."
That line alone makes me think the roster is bullshit, and leaves me hopeful that we'll get some WCW guys out of it. Booker T and Kevin Nash being back in would make sense. DDP was rumored to be in it a while back as well. Hoping for Goldberg. I have no idea how contract situations work out for these games but it'd be awesome if Hogan, Flair, and Sting (yeah right :( ) all were allowed to be in despite being in TNA.</font> |
Cactus Jack, Dude Love and Mankind are 3 separate potential roster members  :'(
|
Ahhh....this looks to good to be true. Attitude Era franchise mode sounds so sick..
