HBK idea
Alright, this is not the first time I've suggested an idea like this, but it seems to fit the current WWE climate.
Lance Cade has just turned on his tag team partner, and seems to have a new attitude. I can see this push actually leading to an Intercontinental Title run, or something. Jim Ross doesn't have any backstage power these days, but he seems really high on Cade, and there is nothing offensive about the guy. The WWE tends to move past mid-card act hard-ons really quickly, though. Cade might need a little something extra to keep him in focus. Paul London & Brian Kendrick seem to have a new attitude each. Kendrick is a lot more hard-edged than he used to be, and is taking things a lot more seriously. Seems to fit in with Lance Cade's new "I'm taking the spotlight" character. Paul London has also added subtle changes, and it seems he is acting more insane than he normally would. He almost seems like a hyena out of The Lion King when he runs to the ring nowadays. There is also the angle between Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, and while the WWE is probably very hesitant to turn HBK heel, and seeing as they have been hinting at the Jericho turn, this is very unlikely, but the WWE has been more unpredictable lately (for better or for worse; I say better). What if HBK was faking the injury (he did swap the legs he was selling, I believe), and he turns heel on Jericho? I think most of us agree a heel HBK would be multiple shades of awesome, and Jericho and HBK feuding could never be a bad thing. With the darker edges that seem to be seeping into the characters of Lance Cade & Brian Kendrick, would you mind seeing them join Shawn Michaels, as sort of a heel stable on RAW? They were both trained by Michaels, and associating them on-screen with him would no doubt get them over. You can just make it that group of three, or you can add Paul London as the heel tag team partner of Brian Kendrick (which has a unit going after the WWE Title, the IC Title and the World Tag Team Titles). HBK can help Cade defeat Y2J for the IC Title, and it moves the belt onto an actual mid-carder who can benefit by holding it. Jericho would no doubt find assistance in Trevor Murdoch, and there might be someone else who could use the rub by teaming with Jericho against Team Heartbreaker. Maybe DH Smith, nursing wounds from the past? There is also Paul London if you choose to turn Kendrick and not London, or there is the possibility of calling up TJ Wilson to team with Smith against London & Kendrick. I don't know, I'm just throwing the idea out there. But would you like to see a Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho feud expanded, with a heel HBK-based stable thrown into the mix? |
Did you watch RAW at all? Dunno if I should throw a spoiler out if you didn't.
|
I like it. I don't know if HBK is "comfortable" with being a heel, he can still be a heel without going against his beliefs just look at his little fued with hogan, that was really great stuff. What he did to Y2J last week seemed like a heel turn to me, but the crowd ate it up. I would love to see him do some old school heel hbk heel stuff, such as leave the ring with the belt and get counted out on purpose. I don't like hbk holding the ic strap but i would be alright with almost anything if it means Shawn is a heel again.

whenever I hear about someone heeling it up I always imagine Wolverine after a massive battle with Sabertooth.
Like Sabertooth: "GWAR GNASH RAWR URGH" Wolverine AKA Logan AKA James: OH SHIT I'm Bleeding and my kidney's falling out Sabertooth: BARK BARK ROAR WOlverine: no no I'll be fine just give me a moment Sabertooth: GOOOOOOOROAIDSOF Fred Flinstone: WIIIIIILMA |
lol

Shup up Noid. HBK knows how to write for HBK.
|
Can't Noid make a thread without posting a thesis.
|
No.

Lance Cade is not relevant to my interests. There would have to be something major to make him look both credible and interesting.
Other than that it's golden. |

Maybe I'm alone, but I think it'll be something to watch. We haven't had a "real team" split up like this in a while. |
Thing is, I doubt Cade will be anything without Murdoch.
|
But why?
|
Cade has all the tools but one: A personality.
I don't think he can get anywhere without it. Bret Hart needed Neidhart because of his personality for years. When Bret figured out how to get over with just his wrestling ability, he was the best there is, etc etc. Chris Benoit (whoever that is) was over because he was considered the best wrestler in the world. It took years, however, for him to get to the top, and that was a short lived feat. Lance Cade is no Bret Hart. Nor is he that other guy I made up. |

But I don't know Cade has no personality because he's been locked in a tag team for his WWE duration. And for most of that, WWE didn't really focus on team members. The only tag teams that tend to have personalities are "teams" like Carlito/Santino, or Dupree/Suzuki. Guys that are already established characters. The most establishment Cade's had is wearing a a cowboy hat and a Zap Brannigan robe.
|
He had the singles run/abomination when he was managed by Coach and he looked like he raided Ric Flair's closet.
Also, during the debut vignettes for Cade/Murdoch. Cade did most of the talking, but Murdoch was the one who got my attention with his Deliverance routine. My reaction to Cade and Murdoch was "A Goof in a cowboy hat and a guy who scares me." Here's a hint: Cade wasn't the guy who scared me. Just because he was "locked in a tag team" doesn't mean he has no opportunity to show personality. You can say the same for Cryme Tyme, but they definitely show personality. Cade is a good worker, no doubt about it. But you have to be able to grab the attention of the fans before that means anything. Otherwise, Dean Malenko and Brad Armstrong would have held lengthy title reigns. |
It's really quite pathetic that you consider 504 words without any large research a "thesis." I suppose it's a little sad I would write 504 words and present it to a group that considers that a thesis, but what's sadder is wasting 10 words on not saying anything at all.
Thanks to those of you who are actually discussing the parties that are actually on topic. On the Lance Cade personality issue: I personally think he has an air of charisma about him. He hasn't worked the mic much, but every time I've heard him, he's sounded confident, clear and somewhat affluent. This split from Murdoch is hopefully going to lead to him developing a certifiable character, and fine-tuning his image a little bit. As for a finishing move, Cade has a very sweet Flying Elbow. He also apparently does a really nice version of the Sweet Chin Music, but I doubt they will have him do that. My vote goes to the Flying Elbow, with the sit-down spinebuster to set it up. |

OMG NOID POSTED SOMETING THAT WANST ATLEAST 504 WORSD!!!!!!!!!

Ridiculous.
Back to the topic, I sort of wish Tomko were in the WWE, as I feel he would make a great new bodyguard character for Shawn Michaels. |

LOL.
Did I say something to offend you? |

As BDC said, you don't get it, do you Noid? |

Not everyone can be a chubby indy wrestler who wears a halloween costume and a mask. It's just not possible.

I guess not liking Noid's recycled ideas or poking fun at him for his first post that was shorter than War and Peace means you're blowing me, by the way.
In which case, like 80% of the board must be blowing me. Cool. On a side note, I feel bad for Clox. Destor and ToVo pull the same bullshit and are incredibly over. Clox gets shit on for his obvious lies and bullshit. |
DESTOR DOESNT DO METH111111111111111
|
And he never did.
|
And he never will?
|
NEVER
|
I hate meth. Seriously don't get the point. I mean first why not just do coke? I don't like coke either but have you seen what people look like when they get all on meth? eww. Come on stick with pot and hallucinigins people. These other drugs are just eh. Go the pain killers or whatever if you have to.
|
Meth is a poor mans drug, 20 dollars and your whacked for the day.
|
well i dunno it's just like.. eh... not the kinda whacked I wanna be.
|
I can buy enough jack with 20 bucks to keep me whacked for the day. Or pot for that matter.. and def. acid.

Ok let's get this thread back to its roots.
So after HBK appeared on teh Cowboy Bebop reunion, Super Dragon does what now Noid? |

Also, let's not confuse racial profiling and "stereotypical niggers" gimmick with personality. The same way you can't call "watered down rednecks" anything but gimmick in Cade/Murdoch. I think the man's been around long enough to delve into himself and pull out a persona with some entertainment value. Otherwise, I don't think this would be happening -- at least, not to favor him over Murdoch. |

LOL conspiracy. Yeah KK having cheerleaders is clearly me crying conspiracy. What a goon.
|
LOL yeah. Because it's impossible for two people to think Noid is full of shit. It's gotta be cheerleading...Especially from a guy I slur for being a pothead....
|
BDC also hates Noid, and rips him more than anyone else does.
|
Quote:
It's definitely not that he likes BDC, doesn't like you and has put forth a claim convenient to that... |
BDC is for a Noid free American in 2008.
|
Isn't America Noid free already?

God forbid I repsond do someone's post in the thread, and state a fact.
|
Yeah bro, you don't follow him in every forum echo-ing him. Right. I'm sure you and KK will agree on that too.
|
Why can't methheads and pot heads get along.

BTW, when you gonna reveal your amazing in-ring career to us?> |

I'm also convinced you do not know what a lie is. By your own admission: "you don't get it, do you Noid?" Assuming you were correct in saying this, then how could I possibly be dishonest? That would assume that I "got it," and chose to present a different and fraudulent reality. Honestly, your "lies" insult sounds like a child yelling at its mother because he took "we might get ice-cream later" as "you will get ice-cream later." You're honestly completely ridiculous. What else could one expect from a journalist who doesn't use proper grammar, though? Also, LOL at you neg-repping me. You sure aren't petty, are you? Easily the most hypocritical entity on these boards. At least BDC is honest, if inarticulate. I could seriously write a great novel (an actual novel, not one of my "novels" that you complain about) about a fictional character based on your psychology. It would make me a rich man, assuming I did use a fictional character, given no one gives a shit about you. I'd also hate to see you get any royalties from it. |
Oh, you guys.
|
LOL Noid, get some counseling. If you really think that when I said "no" it was anything other than a shot, you're psychotic or retarded.
|
I smell a Noid heel turn.
|
I would so mark out if Noid turned heel.
|
Hey IC...Notice how Destor's going around cheerleading Noid?
(Well, not really, but by Destor's own standards) I guess he really is a Christian. "Do as I say, not as I do." |

As for a heel turn, well, I probably have been a bland babyface for too long. I'll make you a deal: When John Cena turns heel, I will turn heel to coincide with this change. Don't expect me to join the stable of the redneck who can't wrestle or the intellectual who isn't really an intellectual, though.
|
If you go heel it's going to give KK a HHH-like face rub.
|
The Optimists heel turn?
