Mr. Pierre 02-27-2010 03:49 AM

I'm gonna say Christian :y:

Juan 02-27-2010 03:53 AM

Christian seems like a solid choice.

Lock Jaw 02-27-2010 03:59 AM

Yeah, Christian seems like a pretty solid choice.

So I'm going to have to go with Chris Masters.

AngryMidjit 02-27-2010 04:13 AM

rey mysterio. he's going to overcome the odds, AGAIN

AngryMidjit 02-27-2010 04:13 AM

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 04:39 AM

Christian would be who I'd like to see do it, but I'm not sure. Pretty sure either him or Kofi Kingston will win Money in the Bank and cash it in pretty early into their run. I'm just not sure who. Money in the Bank is shaping up to be perhaps the hardest to call in years. I'm thinking either Christian or Kofi, but it could be either one.

Wishbone 02-27-2010 04:48 AM

Christian is definatly a top contender I don't see Kofi winning it not yet anyways mabe in a year or so but not now and Miz has too much on his plate as it is I think he's better off staying in place for now and cementing himself better on RAW as for Morrison I think we're more likely to see a World title run outta him at some point but then again who knows. PS I know there's almost no chance of this but I'd love to see Shelton finally pull this off I mean I really think the guy deserves a little push for all the work he's done over the years.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 04:59 AM

I'd love to see Shelton get the nod. I doubt he will, though. The WWE often does a sort of "runner-up" situation in Money in the Bank. It looks like one guy is going to win the match, but then someone else takes the win out from under them. Some examples:

* In the first Money in the Bank, Benoit was about to grab the briefcase when Edge hit his injured arm with a steel chair. The match was pretty much designed to give Edge a title, but as last year's Mania headliner, Benoit got to look like the guy who could have won.

* CM Punk was almost knocked off the ladder by Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XXIV, but Punk pulled Jericho's leg through the ladder, Punk managed to snatch victory. Jericho was at his first WrestleMania since his return, and although he was not going to win the match, he got to look very solid in his performance.

* Last year, Punk was the one hung upside down, and Kane looked like he was about to win Money in the Bank and secure a second (or third) World Title run. Punk beat Kane to the punch, but the monster looked very well protected in his loss.

I could definitely see the match coming down to Christian and Kofi Kingston in the end, with one barely getting the nod over the other. Christian moving to RAW is definitely a good sign for him, and the WWE might give it to him to reward his work over the past few months on ECW. But I also think that they will want to give it to the "younger guy."

Christian seems the popular choice.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 10:59 AM

I dunno. For some reason it doesn't seem right to say that the next WWE Champion will be Christian. It wouldn't surprise me to see him with one of the big belts, but he just feels so...upper mid-carder right now.

Evil Vito 02-27-2010 11:33 AM

Honestly, if Christian wins the big one I kinda want to see him do it on his own, not using the cheap MITB tactic of cashing it in right after the champ had a match. But frankly after the last few years I don't see why ANYONE, face or heel, wouldn't take the easy cash-in.

Given how fast Sheamus got the belt, I don't think you can rule out Drew McIntyre winning the World Heavyweight Title if he somehow gets into MITB via Last Chance Battle Royal. However, if Drew did win MITB I really don't want them to rush him. Let him hold onto the MITB briefcase until 2011 to build him up in a big way before the cash-in.

St. Jimmy 02-27-2010 09:24 PM

I think Sheamus will get his 2nd run soon enough.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 09:27 PM

Yeah, but we're talking first runs, Jimmy.

St. Jimmy 02-27-2010 09:31 PM

There are no going to be "new" WWE champions for a long time, the best we're getting is Sheamus and I'm perfectly okay with that.

Mr. Nerfect 02-27-2010 09:33 PM

It feels like you are right, to be honest, but Money in the Bank is usually used to give a guy a championship run, and that is likely to be cashed in by July.

This is nothing to do with the thread, but does anyone else get the effect that makes the blue font look like it's in the background?

Emperor Smeat 02-27-2010 09:37 PM

Before Miz getting his current push with the Big Show, it looked like Kofi would have been the next new person to win the title but WWE kind of dropped his feud and push against Orton pretty quickly.

Miz is probably going to end up as the next new person as champion with how hard he's being pushed as tag and US champion and how Vince/WWE allowed him to be the mentor of Danielson/Daniel Bryan.

Actually, yes, I get that.
